She began her career working with underserved youth as well as with youth experiencing mental health crises. She then transitioned to a career as a communicable disease investigator for the Maricopa County Department of Public Health where she worked in case management, contact tracing, and risk mitigation for enteric diseases. She is a recent transplant from Austin, Texas moving with her partner and two dogs Taco and Toast.
