Home Care Frisco, TX

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting the historic Frisco Historic Downtown gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. Home care in Frisco, TX is a safe, effective way to give your loved ones the care they need when they need it the most.

What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Frisco, TX?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Dee Lincoln Prime or visit Frisco Heritage Museum, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Frisco, TX, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your TX's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.
 Senior Care Frisco, TX

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Frisco, TX understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Respite Care Frisco, TX

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Frisco, TX

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Some of the most popular assisted living communities to consider in our area include the following:

  • Landing at Watermere Frisco Assisted Living
  • BeeHive Homes of Frisco
  • Bethesda Gardens Frisco Assisted Living
  • Magnolia Assisted Living Frisco
  • Saddlebrook Oxford Memory Care
  • Sunrise of Frisco

For many seniors, moving into a senior living community revolves around how and when they want to make a transition to more involved care. FRISCO, Texas – Leftfielder Josh Pearson lined a 10th-inning single to break a 5-5 tie and spark a three-run outburst, as second-ranked LSU posted an 8-5 win over Kansas State in the opening game of the Frisco College Classic at Riders Field.

LSU improved to 9-1 on the season with its fourth straight win, while Kansas State dropped to 4-5 as its three-game win streak ended.

The Tigers return to action at 4 p.m. CT Saturday when they face Nebraska in Riders Field. The game will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and streamed on D1Baseball.com.

The game was tied 5-5 in the top of the 10th inning when LSU shortstop Steven Milam led off with a single, and he advanced to third base when Kansas State second baseman Shintaro Inoue misplayed a grounder by rightfielder Jake Brown.

Pearson followed with a single into center field, scoring Milam with the go-ahead run. Second baseman Daniel Dickinson delivered a two-out, two run single later in the inning to extend the Tigers’ lead to 8-5.

Dickinson led LSU’s 11-hit output by going 2-for-4 at the plate with a three-run homer and six RBI.

The Tigers made two spectacular defensive plays in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the game into extra innings. Kansas State third baseman Dee Kennedy attempted to score from first base on DH Seth Dardar’s one-out double into left field, but he was thrown out at the plate when Pearson fielded the ball and fired it to Milam, who threw a perfect strike to catcher Luis Hernandez.

With Dardar at second base, rightfielder Nick English followed with sharply hit ground ball to the right side, where Dickinson made a diving stop and threw English out at first base to end the inning.

“I think the story is just how our guys continued to compete in the game,” said LSU coach Jay Johnson. “We showed great character and played with great fundamentals. We got some big hits last, but the story of the game is our defense in the ninth inning.

“We don’t get a chance to win the game in extra innings if we don’t play defense. We have a lot of good athletes on the team, and it’s manifested itself into some really good defense.”

LSU reliever Casan Evans (1-0) was credited with the win, as he worked the final two innings, allowing no runs with three hits, one walk and three strikeouts.

Kansas State reliever Blake Dean (1-1) was charged with the loss, allowing two runs – one earned – on three hits in 2.0 innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

LSU starting pitcher Kade Anderson recorded 10 strikeouts in a career-long 5.1 innings. Anderson allowed two runs on three hits with three walks, firing 92 pitches.

“I’m proud of the way we played today and continuing the process of developing who we are,” Johnson said. “I really like how we’re trending.”

FRISCO, Texas — This story was originally published by our partners at the Dallas Business Journal. You can read the original version here.

A long-standing eyesore along the Dallas North Tollway is finally being transformed into a vibrant mixed-use district.

New York-based JVP Management began construction on Jan. 16 on The Mix, according to Community Impact. The $3 billion development will replace the abandoned Wade Park project, which left a massive hole on the site after construction stalled in 2017 due to financial and legal troubles from Atlanta-based real estate developer Stan Thomas.

Located at the southeast corner of DNT and Lebanon Road, the 112-acre development will feature an upscale grocery store, an 8-acre park, 400-room hotel, 375,000 square feet of retail, 3 million square feet of residential and 2 million square feet of office space.

The first phase of The Mix should deliver a 114,000-square-foot medical office building, a 40,000-square-foot high-end grocer, about 33,000 square feet of retail space and 630 urban living units. A development agreement for the new project won unanimous approval Oct. 15 from Frisco City Council.

Infrastructure for phase one is expected to be finished by the end of 2026, according to the development agreement. The $113.4 million phase will be aided by a $10 million infrastructure grant from the Frisco Economic Development Corp., along with tax grants totaling $103.4 million from the City of Frisco, the EDC and the Frisco Community Development Corp.

Included in phase two of the project is a new underground parking garage with 3,000 spaces. Construction is expected to conclude in 2033, according to the development agreement.

The development will be built around an 8-acre central park and include more than 16 acres of open green space.

JVP Management could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

StreetLights Residential, a Dallas-based, design-focused multifamily and mixed-use developer, is a partner on the project. Additional partners for The Mix include Torti Gallas + Partners and CallisonRTKL, Kimley-Horn, The Retail Connection and JLL.

Construction at the site ground to a halt more than six years ago, leaving a huge hole that was excavated for an underground parking garage. The unfinished site became the focus of litigation involving Thomas, the original developer of what had been called Wade Park, a key piece to what was at the time branded the “$5 Billion Mile” of development at the intersection of Dallas North Tollway and Highway 121.

"The hole by the tollway has been a major outlier in our story and there is significant consensus in the community for that condition to change," the development agreement stated. "Successful completion of the first phase of The Mix will close the book on that chapter of our history and will set the tone for a successful buildout of the project."

Developers first unveiled plans for The Mix in 2022. Similar to other major mixed-use project in Frisco like the 217-acre Firefly Park, the project is expected to take years to complete. The development neighbors other prominent mixed-use districts in Collin County, including The Star, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, as well as Frisco Station and The Gate.

If you're wondering about the current Frisco housing market trends, you've come to the right place. As of December 2024, the Frisco real estate scene is showing signs of cooling down, with a slight dip in median home prices. However, it's not a simple story. We’re seeing some interesting shifts that could impact both buyers and sellers. Let's break it down.

Current Frisco Housing Market Trends: A Deep Dive

Nestled in the heart of one of Texas's fastest-growing regions, Frisco has become a hub for families, professionals, and investors alike. This year presents a mix of opportunities and challenges as market dynamics shift in response to economic conditions and consumer preferences.

I've been following the real estate market closely, and I've seen how quickly things can change here in North Texas. So, I wanted to share my insights on the latest numbers and what they might mean for you, whether you're looking to buy, sell, or just keep tabs on the local market.

One of the first things I always look at is the number of homes being sold. It gives a good indication of overall market activity. According to Redfin, in December 2024, Frisco saw 187 homes sold, a significant increase of 25.5% compared to the same time last year, when only 149 homes were sold. This jump in sales suggests a continued interest in the area, which is great news. It means that people are still wanting to move to Frisco.

Alright, let's talk about what's on everyone's mind: home prices. The median sale price in Frisco last month was $705,000. Now, here’s the interesting part – this is actually down 4.1% compared to the median price last year. While this might be good news for buyers hoping to snag a deal, it's important to remember that we're talking about median prices. This means some homes are selling for more and some for less.

It is essential to note that the median price per square foot has seen a year-over-year increase of 5.0%, sitting at $254. This suggests that while the overall median price might be down, the cost of space in Frisco has actually gone up.

The housing supply is always a crucial piece of the puzzle. While the data doesn't give us the exact number of homes on the market, it does give us some hints. The fact that homes are still selling, and the number of sales is up, indicates that there is still inventory in Frisco. We are still seeing homes being listed, even though some other areas may have experienced fewer listings.

The current market trend in Frisco indicates a shift toward a more balanced market. The fact that homes are taking slightly longer to sell (56 days on the market compared to 51 days last year) and that more homes are experiencing price drops points to less intense competition. Here are a few key trends I've noticed:

Based on the data, I'd say the Frisco housing market is moving towards a more balanced scenario, though still leaning slightly towards a seller's market. While the dip in median home prices and the increase in days on the market might sound like a buyer's dream, remember that homes are still selling close to the asking price and the market is still fairly competitive, with an average of 1 offer per home.

I believe, the slight drop in home prices, coupled with homes staying on the market a bit longer, is starting to give buyers more negotiating power. However, with the increase in the number of homes sold, it's not quite a buyer's market just yet. It’s crucial for both sides to be informed and strategic.

Yes, the data shows that median home prices in Frisco have dropped by 4.1% year-over-year. However, it's not a dramatic plunge. It's a moderate adjustment in a dynamic market.

The fact that the median price per square foot has actually increased by 5.0% year-over-year, indicates that the drop is probably due to a change in the type of homes being sold, rather than a huge drop in prices across the board. Some price drops were also driven by sellers trying to get a sale.

It's also important to consider the bigger picture – the market is still quite active, and Frisco is still a desirable place to live. I don't see this as the start of a large-scale housing crash. Instead, it looks more like a necessary correction after a period of rapid price appreciation.

Here's a quick summary in a table:

Statistic December 2024 YoY Change
Median Sale Price $705,000 -4.1%
Median Price per Sq Ft $254 +5.0%
Homes Sold 187 +25.5%
Median Days on Market 56 +5 days
Sale-to-List Price Ratio 97.6% +0.1 pt
Homes Sold Above List Price 9.1% -3.0 pt
Homes with Price Drops 31.3% +10.1 pt

I found the migration trends fascinating. It seems that people are still moving into Frisco, mainly from locations like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. This suggests that Frisco’s draw is not diminishing. Here's a quick look at in-migration trends to Frisco:

Interestingly, people are also moving out of Frisco, primarily to Phoenix, Austin, and Houston. This may be due to several factors, such as job opportunities and lifestyle choices. The top outbound metro areas include:

This migration data shows Frisco is still a hub with people coming in, but also moving out for different reasons. It gives us a glimpse into the dynamism of the market.

From my own experience working in the North Texas real estate market, I've found that Frisco's market is highly influenced by the local economy, job growth, and the quality of schools. These factors are still robust. The dip in prices, I feel, is more of a recalibration than a crash.

I believe the current market is ideal for those who are patient and prepared. For buyers, there's now a better chance to negotiate and find a good deal. For sellers, it's important to price your property strategically and be willing to work with buyers.

Frisco Housing Market Forecast 2025-2026

If you're wondering what the future holds for the Frisco housing market, here's the deal: While predicting the future perfectly is impossible, the current trend suggests a continued, though possibly slower, growth in home values for the next couple of years. The market won't be seeing massive price jumps, but steady appreciation is anticipated based on available data as of late 2024.

I always like to start with a look at the present. Right now, the average home value in Frisco, TX stands at $671,173. That's according to Zillow's Home Value Index as of late 2024. What’s interesting is that, over the past year, we’ve seen only a 1.9% increase in home values. This is a significant shift from the rapid growth we saw in previous years. Homes in Frisco are also going to pending in around 42 days. I think this indicates a cooling down period where things are settling down after a hot market.

Based on this data and my experience following the Frisco market, here's what I'm anticipating for the Frisco housing market in 2025 and 2026:

To recap, let's look at the key elements that will shape the future of Frisco housing:

And, if you're thinking about selling, make sure your home is in great condition and that you have a good agent working for you!

Final Thoughts

I think that the Frisco real estate market will remain strong over the next couple of years. The pace of growth may have slowed down, and we are definitely not experiencing that ‘hyper' growth anymore. Still, I think it's a sound place to invest in real estate.
