If you're like most folks living in the United States, chances are, someone in your family or someone you know has served time in the military. Veterans truly deserve our deepest love, support, and care. Yet, many of these selfless men and women experience feelings of isolation and struggle with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, and self-care. After all the hard work and bravery these soldiers dedicated to our country, they have earned the right to have a caregiver assist them with their daily needs.

Fortunately, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers a range of home care services tailored to support both Veterans and their family members. These services are carried out by trained in-home caregivers who visit clients daily to provide essential care. As a home care company that truly values our Veterans, we are proud to connect Veterans to expert franchise owners who can help them get the essential care they need.

If your loved one is a Veteran and needs Veterans community care funding in Loxahatchee or funding for another VA home care program, know that we are here to help. All it takes is a call to Always Best Care to get started. From there, we'll put you in touch with a local Always Best Care franchise owner who will do all the work needed to get your family member the funding they deserve.

VA FUNDED In-HOME CARE

Qualifying for Always Best Care's VA Community Care Network (CCN)

The VACCN Homemaker/Home Health Aide & Respite Care is a benefit offered to Veterans who require assistance with activities associated with daily living. Homemakers and Home Health Aides, while not nurses themselves, are trained professionals who can provide support and care to Veterans in their own homes.

They are supervised by an Always Best Care registered nurse who assesses the Veteran's care needs and supervises each individual case.

TESTIMONIALS

“I have worked with, and explored working with, various agencies and registries in the Palm Beach County area. I am picky. Always Best Care is qualitatively a notch above every other organization I’ve encountered. Responsive. Amiable. Professional. The aide, Islande, who has worked with my mom is top-notch for our needs. And... I have no doubt Steve (the agency’s owner) and his staff would strive to find someone else, if it hadn’t been a fit. If you are looking for Nursing Care, I strongly recommend giving Always Best Care a chance. BTW: It is important to understand that working with an Nursing Agency (like Always Best Care), means the staff are employees, not independent contractors (as they are when working through a Nursing Registry). An Agency is vested in having good employees, and a good agency wants you to be happy. But even all Agencies are not created equal. I worked with one (Alternative Health Care) where aides did not always show up! That was painful and incredibly stressful, and the manager and other higher-up staff didn’t give a hoot.”

“We have been using Always Best Care for my mom for two years now and I am hear to say that they are the best we have been with. The Caregivers go above and beyond what we expect and treat my with nothing but love. Fran and Steve and Claudia are with us 24/7 everyday. It has been a real rollercoaster with my mom’s issues, but they are definitely our rock of support. Michelle, who is mom’s full time daytime caregiver has been with her since we started and she is like part of the family. She calls and checks on her off hours because she cares and there is no price you can put on that. If you do not try this agency, you are missing out.”

“Steve and Claudia at Always Best Care Senior Services were just awesome in how they provided at home care for my mother Carmen. Starting with the initial consultation by Steve to learn about mom's personal care needs to the follow-up visit of a registered nurse to the eventual placement of a compassionate caregiver; every step of their service was well thought out and they truly delivered on providing a level of care for mom that exceeded our families (and mom's) expectations. TESTIMONIALS

“I have been utilizing Always Best Care Senior Services for 2 years to care 24/7 for my elderly parents. I am very pleased with their services. The Owners and Office Staff bend over backwards to make sure that there is always coverage, to alert my parents Caregiver Team of any requests that I make, to advise me when there is an issue with my parents or their dog. The Caregiver Team working with my parents are all compassionate and caring, knowledgeable and skilled. Sadly, my Father passed away in the fall of 2020. Each of their Caregivers, the Owners and the Office Staff expressed to me that they would like to attend his memorial service when we are able to have it. During the weeks he was slipping away, the Caregiver team not only took care of my parents, they looked after me, gently reminding me to eat, rest or take a break. They truly care not only for my parents, but for all our family. I can’t begin to express what a comfort it has been to have them caring for my parents, especially during the pandemic when visits are prohibited. They are my eyes and ears. Working intimately with my parents, the Caregivers are very tuned in to even subtle changes. If you are in the market and looking for a senior services/home health care company, I strongly urge you to reach out to Always Best Care Senior Services. You’ll be happy you did.”

From the highest level administration (Stephen and Beverly) to the amazing caregivers and schedulers -- the entire staff have been responsive and attentive from day one. And readily available and again responsive when we reinitiated services for my father. Their attentiveness and professionalism is reflected in the amazingly kind, competent and resourceful caregiving staff. “Always Best Care has been wonderful in many ways. Steve Snell, Owner and Area Representative, and Beverly Casper, RN were patient, kind and respectful while my Dad came to terms with the idea that he really did need help. They were flexible and open and that made all the difference. My Dad's aide Fabienne is responsible and caring and now more of a companion than aide. Steve and his scheduling team has been proactive about any changes that needed to occur and very good about communicating with me both by phone and email. Having them on board has lessened the worry I feel on a daily basis. My mother had a prolonged illness and through the years we dealt with many health care agencies. The attention and care we have received from Always Best Care is, by far, the best we ever have experienced and we are very grateful to have found them.”

“Always Best Care was a life savor for my parents especially my Dad who is a former Veteran. Steve helped us reach out to the right contacts with the VA and was able to take us thru the process step by step to ensure that my Dad was able to get the most benefits possible to him which ended being about 32 hours of free home health care a week. The aids have been great for both of my parents. They have formed great relationships with Carol and Fred and now as of recently AnnMarie. The aids help getting groceries and picking up medication and also clean up around the house. They feel very cared for and have really turned the corner in feeling happier and well cared for. We are extremely grateful to Steve and his team at Always Best for working with us and ensuring my parents safety and well being! It's a great agency and all the workers who are part of this business!!”

THE Next Steps

How to Qualify for VA Funded In-Home Care

Whether you are a Veteran and need in-home care services or you're a family member of a Veteran, it's important to qualify for our VA Community Care Network. To qualify, consider the following:

  • Veterans must be honorably discharged. They do NOT need to be war-era Veterans
  • Veterans must sign up for VA Healthcare

You should be aware that any home care services that are authorized depend on you or your loved one's physician's assessment of needs.

How To Enroll In

Always Best Care's VA Community Care Network

Gaining access to VA senior care requires a three-step enrollment process. Those steps include the following:

First, request an Assessment for Community Care Network (CCN) services from your VA Physician. From there, the VA Physician will conduct an assessment and write an order accordingly (based on eligibility and needs). After that step, request that your VA Physician specifies which VA home care provider you would like to use, such as Always Best Care.

  • Thomas H Corey VA Medical Center

During this step, a Community Care Coordinator from the VA will contact you after the VA Physician writes your order. After making contact, the Community Care Coordinator will inform you of the type of care and quantity of hours per week authorized by the VA.

If you have not selected a specific provider, the Community Care Coordinator will provide options in your area. Once a Community Provider like Always Best Care is selected, the Community Care Coordinator will send the authorization to the selected Community Provider that you request.

Should you choose Always Best Care as your Community Care Provider, a home care claims manager will call you to arrange a care consultation, complete the intake paperwork, and schedule in-home care services. After the care consultation, the Community Care Provider performs a final assessment of your needs.

After the final assessment is complete, a Care Plan is created for you by the Community Provider. The Community Care Provider will arrange for a caregiver to come to your home for the number of authorized hours allowed each week.

Note: Veterans may choose their in-home care provider and are under NO OBLIGATION TO SELECT Always Best Care.

The Always Best Care Veterans Assistance Program supports some of the nation's most deserving individuals in staying in their homes longer while enjoying a healthier and safer way of life.

  • Acquiring essential documents from both original and certified sources (this includes getting certified duplicates of military discharge papers).
  • Researching your unique situation and history so that we can help select which VA-funded home care program is the most beneficial.

Veterans Community Care Funding in Loxahatchee, FL

As a Veteran, you may be eligible to get care outside the VA. This means the VA will pay for the cost of your care from a health care provider in their community care network. Long-term services offered within this program may include:

  • Help with Daily Tasks: Like meal prep, bathing, getting dressed, taking medicine, and cleaning the house.
  • Comfort and Companionship Care: An in-home caregiver can visit your home if you do not have family or loved ones nearby and help provide companionship services. Those services may include socialization, emotional support, and help staying independent in your home.
  • Support for Caregivers: If you are a caregiver or a Veteran who has a caregiver who needs to take a break for work or personal reasons, don't worry. The VA can provide assistance from a qualified in-home caregiver.

Veterans Agent Orange Funding in Loxahatchee, FL

Many U.S. Veterans returning from Vietnam began to report health issues almost right away, linking them to exposure to Agent Orange and dioxin. This connection sparked controversy from the outset and persists to this day. Veterans suffering from exposure to Agent Orange may be eligible for in-home care funding from Always Best Care.

One common misconception about this program is that Veterans must have served in Vietnam or were directly exposed to Agent Orange to qualify for funding. The truth is that a soldier DOES NOT need direct exposure to Agent Orange to benefit from quality in-home care.

However, to qualify for this type of funding, the Veteran must have served in the military when the government was using this harmful chemical herbicide. So long as you or your Veteran loved one served in the military during Agent Orange use, they may qualify - even if they did not serve in Vietnam.

The following cancers and illnesses are proven to have been caused by Agent Orange:

  • Hodgkin's Disease
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Respiratory Cancers
  • Bladder Cancer
  • Chronic B-Cell Leukemia
  • Diabetes Type 2
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Peripheral Neuropathy

Whether you served in Vietnam and were exposed to Agent Orange or you are a Veteran who served our country while the herbicide was used, you deserve personalized in-home care from expert caregivers. Unfortunately, securing VA funding for these services can be difficult - especially for older Veterans. That's why many soldiers contact Always Best Care for help.

Our franchise owners are experts when it comes to VA home care claims management in Loxahatchee. When you call your local Always Best Care location, you can expect tailored service, expert guidance, and reliable help throughout the qualifying process.

VA Funded Home Care FAQs

The VA provides various programs that deliver both medical and non-medical home care services for eligible Veterans. These initiatives are part of the VA's home and community-based services. They're aimed at enhancing the well-being of Veterans facing chronic illnesses or service-related disabilities.

Non-medical home care encompasses services such as companionship, assistance with household tasks, and personal care. In contrast, home health care services focus on medical needs and include skilled nursing, medication management, and rehabilitative therapies.

The homemaker and home health aide program includes a trained caregiver visiting the Veteran's home to assist with daily household tasks, like grocery shopping or personal care. The frequency of the caregiver's visits can vary based on the Veteran's requirements, whether they need support daily or just occasionally. Veterans can keep receiving help as long as they need assistance with everyday activities. This program enables Veterans to remain in their homes instead of relocating to a nursing facility. It also supports family caregivers by alleviating their stress and physical demands.

The financial support provided by the VA for Veterans' home care can differ significantly depending on the program utilized by the Veteran, their disability status, and various other factors. In the case of spouses or family members of Veterans, the VA's payment for home care will be determined by their eligibility and the specific care requirements they have. Working with a VA home care funding specialist in Loxahatchee may help Veterans and their families understand eligibility requirements. Working with an expert may also help to clarify how much the VA will pay for in-home care.

Possibly. Whether a spouse or surviving spouse qualifies depends on their specific circumstances and their ability to fulfill eligibility criteria. For instance, a surviving spouse who enters into a new marriage loses eligibility for TRICARE, which is the military's health insurance program. If a spouse or surviving spouse does not qualify for TRICARE, they might still have access to VA health care benefits through programs like The Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA).

The Central Park Commerce Center sits on the north side of State Road 80 near 20-Mile Bend in Loxahatchee, where Palm Beach County commissioners denied the Project Tango master plan amendment on July 15, 2026.

LOXAHATCHEE, FL — The company behind the rejected Project Tango data center has sued its own development partner, that partner's Atlanta parent company, the property's master association and the law firm that opposed the project at two county hearings, alleging they worked to defeat an approval the partner was obligated to support.

PBA Holdings, Inc. filed the complaint Aug. 6, 2026, in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. The case, PBA Holdings, Inc. v. WPB Logistics Owner, LLC, et al., is Case No. 50-2026-CA-008952-XXXA-MB in the civil division of the 15th Judicial Circuit. Also named are TPA Group, LLC, Central Park Commerce Center Master Association, Inc., the law firm Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., Matthew Prince and attorney Tara Duhy. Ethan J. Loeb of Bartlett Loeb Hinds Thompson & Angelos in Tampa signed the filing.

The dispute centers on the Central Park Commerce Center, an approximately 202-acre planned development near 20-Mile Bend at 20125 State Road 80 in Loxahatchee, beside Florida Power & Light's West County Energy Center. Palm Beach County commissioners voted 5-1 on July 15 to deny the master plan amendment PBA sought there, the request the county processed as Project Tango.

According to the complaint, PBA sold the property's Phase 1 parcel to WPB Logistics in February 2023 under a 2021 agreement that limited Phase 1 and a future Phase 2 to warehouse and office space, while PBA kept a separate data center parcel. An August 2025 amendment required PBA to pursue warehouse entitlements for Phase 2 and barred WPB Logistics from unreasonably withholding approval, the lawsuit alleges.

WPB Logistics consented to the county application in October 2025, the complaint states, then objected in a March 19, 2026, letter and moved to withdraw consent on March 31. The lawsuit alleges those stated reasons were not the real ones, and that WPB Logistics was privately preparing to convert its own warehouse entitlements to data center use administratively, using electrical capacity PBA had spent years securing.

The complaint further alleges Prince, identified as a TPA Group director, principal of WPB Logistics and president of the master association, used the association to oppose PBA without a board meeting, vote or the consent the governing declaration requires from PBA, its only other member.

Much of the filing concerns Duhy, a shareholder and president of Lewis, Longman & Walker, who spoke against the application at the county Zoning Commission on July 2 and before commissioners on July 15. The lawsuit alleges she misstated the effect of the application and the county's land development code, represented two clients with conflicting interests, and met privately with commissioners without county counsel present after her clients had added the Board of County Commissioners as a defendant in a separate injunction case. Those allegations are unproven, and no court has found any ethics violation.

That earlier case was filed June 5 and amended July 10 to name the county board. Circuit Judge Darren Shull denied the plaintiffs' amended emergency injunction motion on July 13, according to an order attached as an exhibit, and the complaint says the master association dismissed its claims on July 18.

Exhibits also set out WPB Logistics' side. In the March 19 letter, the company argued public opposition to Project Tango was damaging its ability to develop, market and finance Phase 1, cited the county mayor's statements against the project, said it had an offer above $100 million for Phase 1, and demanded PBA withdraw the application.

The complaint brings 10 counts, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting, abuse of process and tortious interference. PBA seeks damages exceeding $50,000, costs, interest and attorney's fees on several counts, an expedited order compelling the association to open its books under Florida's not-for-profit corporation statute, and a jury trial.

The filing reviewed by Boca Post does not include a response from any defendant. Boca Post reviewed the complaint and its exhibits, Case No. 50-2026-CA-008952-XXXA-MB, filed Aug. 6, 2026, in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. The case is newly filed and pending. LOXAHATCHEE, FL. — Palm Beach County commissioners are scheduled to vote Wednesday on Project Tango, a proposed hyperscale artificial intelligence data center on Southern Boulevard that county planning staff have recommended for approval and that the county Zoning Commission recommended for denial by a 6-0-0 vote.

Palm Beach County has issued a public notice through its Office of Emergency Management advising that limited seating is expected at the Robert Weisman Governmental Center for the July 14 and July 15, 2026 Board of County Commissioners zoning hearings, both of which begin at 9:30 a.m. The hearings are being held on the sixth floor of the Governmental Center at 301 N. Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach. The county said it is anticipating a high level of public participation.

The 202.67-acre project, filed by PBA Holdings, Inc. and known formally as the Central Park Commerce Center Multiple Use Planned Development, comes before the Board of County Commissioners at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the sixth-floor Jane M. Thompson Memorial Chambers at 301 N. Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach. The item is on the regular agenda. The application has already been postponed twice from earlier BCC hearings in December 2025 and April 2026.

According to the county staff report, the applicant is asking commissioners to amend the previously approved master plan to add square footage and modify phasing on the 202.67-acre site, and to grant a Type 2 Variance reducing the required parking calculation for the data center use from one space per 250 square feet to one space per 2,000 square feet. Staff recommend approval subject to conditions.

The site sits on the north side of Southern Boulevard, west of the L-8 Canal, in unincorporated Palm Beach County. The staff report places it approximately 3.4 miles west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, while the July 15 agenda describes the site as approximately 3.7 miles west.

Under the most recent April 27, 2026 revision, the applicant is proposing 3,594,564 total square feet of development, broken down as:

That represents a net increase of roughly 1.57 million square feet over the currently approved 2,020,000-square-foot master plan approved by the BCC in January 2025. The applicant reduced the proposed data center square footage from an earlier 1,792,000-square-foot version submitted in November 2025 after residents raised concerns during the December 10, 2025 BCC hearing.

The staff report identifies the site's east property line as approximately 900 feet from the Arden PUD residential community and Saddle View Elementary School, separated by a 400-foot-wide wildlife corridor and the 500-foot-wide South Florida Water Management District L-8 Canal. Access to the development is from Southern Boulevard (SR-80).

At the July 2, 2026 Zoning Commission hearing, 51 public comment cards were submitted, all in opposition to the application, according to the staff report. Three attorneys spoke for 10 minutes each on behalf of clients: Tara Duhy for WPB Logistics Owner, LLC and the Central Park Commerce Center Master Association, Inc.; John R. Eubanks Jr. for the Arden HOA; and Christina Reichert of Earthjustice for the Western Palm Beach Community Alliance.

The staff report said Duhy asked that the application be tabled because her clients — who own property within the MUPD — did not consent to the request. Eubanks raised due process concerns and said the noise study was incomplete, according to the staff report. Reichert argued the proposed use is not the same as a traditional server farm and raised concerns about cooling systems, water use, low-frequency sound and the heat island effect, the staff report said.

Forty additional residents spoke and eight submitted written comments at the July 2 hearing, all in opposition, according to the staff report. Recurring concerns cited in the staff report included low-frequency noise, 24-hour operation, water quality, fire risk from lithium battery systems, homeowner insurance impacts, whether the use qualifies as light industrial and the project's proximity to the Arden community and Saddle View Elementary School.

Six local governments and organizations have submitted formal resolutions or letters in opposition, according to the exhibit list in the staff report:

The record also includes letters from State Senator Lori Berman and State Representative Debra Weinberger, and correspondence from Earthjustice and Sustainable PBC.

Palm Beach County School Board Chair Karen M. Brill sent a letter to the BCC dated June 10, 2026 outlining the school district's concerns. The School Board discussed the project at its June 3, 2026 meeting.

The letter placed Saddle View Elementary at approximately 1,200 feet from the proposed data center complex.

"As the governing body responsible for the education and welfare of the students and staff of the School District of Palm Beach County, the School Board has a fundamental responsibility to provide safe learning environments that promote student achievement," Brill wrote. "For this reason, we are concerned about the potential long-term consequences of placing a hyperscale artificial intelligence facility in such close proximity to a public school."

Brill said Board members at the June 3 meeting flagged specific concerns about lithium battery fire hazards and the effect of industrial noise and vibrations on students and staff. The letter requested access to existing public records, impact studies and reports the county has received on the project.

County staff have proposed conditions of approval that would require an 850-foot setback for data center buildings from the east property line, limit buildings within 100 feet of the east property line to a maximum height of 45 feet, cap the maximum daily potable water flow at 100,000 gallons per day, require a battery energy storage system using only Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry, and set maximum A-weighted noise levels of 60 decibels during daytime hours and 50 decibels between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. at the receiving residential development to the east. External backup generators would be required to be set back at least 800 feet from the east property line.

The staff report notes Palm Beach County Water Utilities has determined the site's 2,000 gallon-per-minute fire protection water requirement exceeds the 1,000 gpm the utility can supply, meaning the site would have to provide its own firefighting water storage, pumping and backup power.

The applicant's justification statement, cited in the staff report, describes the project as necessary to accommodate a "class-leading Hyperscale AI Data Facility" and points to a binding power service agreement the ownership has secured with Florida Power & Light. The justification statement said the FPL agreement "has strict timelines to develop the required substations and AI use needed to accept the power, and to begin utilizing the power."

The staff report also notes Governor Ron DeSantis signed Chapter 2026-65, also known as SB 484, on May 7, 2026, with an effective date of July 1, 2026. According to the staff report, all new data centers are required to comply with the new legislation.

Wednesday's hearing is the final decision point on the applications before the Board of County Commissioners. The BCC agenda lists only the Development Order Amendment for a formal motion; the concurrent Type 2 Variance is addressed in a separate exhibit of conditions.

The item is listed under BCC District 6, held by Mayor Sara Baxter.

Zoning changes, comprehensive plan amendments, and land use decisions can have a major impact on Palm Beach County neighborhoods. Boca Post covers Planning Commission reviews, BCC votes, and major proposals through our page.

LOXAHATCHEE, FL — The company behind the rejected Project Tango data center has returned to Palm Beach County Circuit Court, this time asking a judge to strip a director of its property's master association of his seat.

PBA Holdings, Inc. filed a verified derivative complaint on Aug. 14, 2026, suing on behalf of the Central Park Commerce Center Master Association, Inc. rather than for itself. The case, PBA Holdings, Inc., derivatively on behalf of Central Park Commerce Center Master Association, Inc. v. Matthew Prince, is Case No. 50-2026-CA-009198-XXXA-MB, assigned to Division AO of the 15th Judicial Circuit. The association is named as a nominal defendant, and the complaint states no relief is sought against it.

Ethan J. Loeb of Bartlett Loeb Hinds Thompson & Angelos in Tampa signed the filing. Enrique Tomeu, a PBA executive who also sits on the association board, verified the complaint under penalty of perjury.

The suit is separate from the 10-count lawsuit PBA filed Aug. 6 against WPB Logistics Owner, LLC, TPA Group, LLC, the association, Prince and others. In this filing, PBA states it seeks no recovery for itself and asserts no claim for its own injury. The single count seeks only Prince's removal under Section 617.08091 of the Florida Statutes, which lets a court remove a not-for-profit director in limited circumstances.

Central Park Commerce Center is the planned development along State Road 80 near 20-Mile Bend, beside Florida Power & Light's West County Energy Center. The association owns and maintains its common areas and has just two members: PBA and WPB Logistics.

That structure drives the lawsuit. WPB Logistics is the declarant and sole Class B member, holding three votes for every Class A vote and appointing two of the three board seats, according to the complaint. PBA appoints one and holds 25% of the voting power. The bylaws provide that declarant-appointed directors may only be removed by the declarant.

Prince is described in the filing as a Fulton County, Georgia, resident, a TPA Group director, the authorized principal of WPB Logistics, and the association's president and treasurer. The complaint alleges that combination left PBA with no way to remove him except through a judge.

The complaint alleges Prince used the association to oppose PBA's county master plan application while simultaneously clearing the way for WPB Logistics to pursue a data center on its own Phase 1 parcel. It alleges he signed a June 1, 2026, non-consent letter to the county attorney, retained outside counsel and lobbyists, and joined WPB Logistics in a June 5 injunction suit against PBA, all without a board meeting, vote, written consent or notice to Tomeu.

The lawsuit alleges the association's counsel formally opposed the application at the July 2 Zoning Commission hearing and the July 15 County Commission hearing, and that Prince lobbied commissioners privately beforehand. Commissioners denied the application July 15. The complaint says the association voluntarily dismissed its injunction claims three days later, which it alleges shows the association's participation served no purpose of its own.

Earlier allegations trace to March 2024, when the complaint says marketing materials surfaced advertising a "Central Park Data Center Campus" with 300 megawatts and a shared substation. Asked about them, Prince replied by email that it was "a flyer advertising the site we already own," according to the complaint, which alleges the advertisement misstated available power and land rights.

The filing alleges Prince engaged in fraudulent conduct, grossly abused his position and inflicted harm on the association. Those are allegations. No court has ruled on them.

PBA asks the court to remove Prince, bar him from reappointment for seven years, enjoin him from acting for the association pending final judgment, and award fees and costs. The relief sought is equitable, and no jury trial is demanded.

The filing reviewed by Boca Post does not include a response from either defendant.

Boca Post’s Palm Beach County Lawsuits coverage documents recent civil complaints and court filings from communities throughout the county.
