“Keith and Jeri are angels that walk among us. My in-laws have been receiving care from Always Best since May 2019. They are in their 90’s and still in their own home. This has been a year of challenges as my mother-in-law has dementia and my father-in-law’s health has gotten more tenuous. Keith has taken my dad to the hospital and urgent care, grocery shopped for them and scrambled to provide aides on short notice after hospitalization. What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Clearwater, FL?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Salt Rock Grill or visit Clearwater Historical Society Museum and Cultural Center, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Clearwater, FL, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

 Elderly Care Clearwater, FL

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your FL's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.
 Senior Care Clearwater, FL

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Clearwater, FL understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

 Respite Care Clearwater, FL

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Clearwater, FL

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Some of the most popular assisted living communities to consider in our area include the following:

  • Grand Villa of Clearwater
  • The Preserve at Dunedin
  • The Grove at Countryside
  • Aravilla Clearwater
  • Regency Oaks
  • Lincolnshire Assisted Living
Home Care Clearwater, FL

For many seniors, moving into a senior living community revolves around how and when they want to make a transition to more involved care. CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. — Clearwater Beach Bar, formerly known as Jamminz Beach Bar, has reopened after being closed for two years because of significant damage from Hurricane Helene.

The bar held its official grand reopening Saturday. Staff said the first day went well and that they are looking forward to more people coming by to see the renovated space.

“They knocked us down, but they couldn’t break us,” owner Peter Czajkowski said.

Czajkowski said the storm left lasting memories, including seeing floodwater inside the business on security cameras.

“I looked at my cameras and the bar was flooded,” Czajkowski said. “The water was over the bar. That was a pretty telling tale. The beer coolers were floating in the middle of the room.”

The repair work was extensive. The bar had to be completely gutted after water damaged much of the equipment.

Many businesses along Mandalay Avenue had to renovate after Hurricane Helene.

Customer Rob Smith said the bar is a place that brings people together.

“When something shuts down and you’re used to be a part of the community like this, you kind of miss it,” Smith said.

Smith said he is glad to see businesses in the area returning after the storms.

“Clearwater Beach has always been a great spot, but with everything that’s been going on since the hurricanes and the facelift that it’s taken on, it’s so much better now,” Smith said.

Czajkowski said reopening after two years will not be easy, but he believes in the bar’s vision and hopes to bring back longtime customers while welcoming tourists.

CLEARWATER, FL, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Press Release: Agent Link Is Now XpandPro

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Agent Link Completes Transition to XpandPro, Marking the Company’s Next Stage of Growth

After 17 years as Agent Link (agentlinkmarketing.com), the Clearwater recruitment and market intelligence firm is retiring its original name and now operates fully under the XpandPro brand at xpandpro.com.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — October 28, 2026 — Agent Link (agentlinkmarketing.com), a longtime provider of recruitment and market intelligence services to the insurance and financial services industries, announced today that it has completed its transition to XpandPro (xpandpro.com) and is retiring the Agent Link name. The company first introduced the XpandPro brand for its software and services and now brings all of its work under one name, reflecting its evolution and expanded focus on helping organizations grow their distribution and producer force.

Founded in 2009 by Stu and Senia Gramajo, Agent Link has spent more than 17 years helping insurance carriers, IMOs, FMOs, BGAs, advisory firms and regional agencies connect with independent insurance producers and financial professionals.

In that time, the company has conducted conversations, surveys and recruiting interactions with nearly half a million producers and advisors. That work has built a deep body of firsthand knowledge about the challenges producers and advisors face, what they are looking for, and what influences their willingness to form new business and upline relationships.

“Agent Link was founded with a mission to help our clients make not just more connections, but the right connections — connections that create genuine value for producers and help our clients expand,” said Stu Gramajo, CEO and Director of Market Research at XpandPro. “XpandPro better represents who we have become, the work we do today and where we are going next.”

The company’s ownership and leadership remain unchanged, with Stu and Senia Gramajo continuing to lead the organization. Clients will keep working with the same team, at the same Clearwater office and the same phone number.

Under the XpandPro brand, the company will continue providing producer recruitment and appointment-setting services while expanding its investment in recruitment intelligence, market research and technology. XpandPro will also continue helping clients strengthen their own recruiting capabilities through research-based training and best practices developed from the company’s years of direct producer engagement.

“We’ve learned a great deal about what helps turn an initial producer conversation into a productive, lasting relationship,” said Senia Gramajo, President of XpandPro. “An important part of what we do is putting that knowledge into the hands of our clients and their recruiters so they can contract and activate more of the right producers.”

The transition also includes the move of the company’s Affinity Database platform to AffinityIQ, reflecting its evolution from producer data and search capabilities into a broader recruitment intelligence platform.

Clients and partners can find XpandPro at xpandpro.com. Visitors to agentlinkmarketing.com will be directed to the new site.

“Expansion has always been at the heart of what we do,” Stu Gramajo added. “XpandPro simply gives that mission a name.”

Cedarville University will extend its Christ-centered educational mission to Florida with a new location in Clearwater, bringing its biblical worldview education to students in the Tampa Bay region. The university plans to begin offering classes Jan. 4, 2027.

With Florida’s growing population and families seeking higher education grounded in biblical truth, Cedarville’s Clearwater location will provide students with a new opportunity to pursue a Christian university education without leaving the state.

Cedarville will initially offer a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at the Clearwater location, providing Florida students access to the biblically faithful, academically excellent education the university is known for. Florida students will complete a Bible minor and benefit from a flexible blend of in-person and online learning. The application for admission opened October 2.

Cedarville’s Clearwater location is expected to help meet that need. Through a five-year joint venture with Calvary Church Clearwater, the university will establish a presence in the Tampa Bay region and build relationships with churches, families and prospective students.

The university also plans to build on existing connections in the region, including relationships with Christian schools, local churches and alumni. Cedarville’s history with Florida students and families provides a foundation for its work in Clearwater.

“We are thrilled to expand that mission to students in the state of Florida. We want to serve the churches and support the expansion of God’s Kingdom in Florida.”

Cedarville will initially operate under a provisional state license as it launches the biblical and theological studies program. The university will work to demonstrate the program’s effectiveness and meet state requirements as it pursues annual licensure. Additional academic offerings may be considered as the Florida location develops.

“We were approached by various church leaders about opening a location in Clearwater and prayerfully sought the Lord’s direction,” said Dr. Thomas White, president of Cedarville University. “After careful review and extensive discussion with Florida stakeholders and state officials, we believe now is the time to bring Cedarville to Florida.”

White emphasized that the expansion is rooted in the university’s mission.

“The reason for this step is our mission. We stand for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to transform lives through excellent education and intentional discipleship in submission to biblical authority,” White said. “We are thrilled to expand that mission to students in the state of Florida. We want to serve the churches and support the expansion of God’s Kingdom in Florida.”

Cedarville’s connection with Florida students is already strong. Nearly 500 Florida high school students participate in the university’s dual-enrollment program, taking college courses while still in high school. A Clearwater location will create another pathway for students to continue their Cedarville education closer to home.

“Florida is one of the nation’s fastest-growing states, with increasing numbers of high school graduates,” said Dr. Bob Lutz, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. "At the same time, through our alumni and relationships with local churches and Christian schools in Florida, we have heard a strong desire for a faithful Christian university in the area—one committed to biblical authority and academic excellence. We seek to serve these churches, schools, families and students well as we establish Cedarville in the Clearwater area."

Licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, License No. 13682. Cedarville University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Cedarville University is currently seeking HLC approval of its Florida instructional site as an additional location.

Cedarville University, an evangelical Christian institution in southwest Ohio, offers undergraduate and graduate residential and online programs across arts, sciences and professional fields. With 7,542 students, it is among Ohio's largest private universities and is ranked among the nation’s top five evangelical universities in the Wall Street Journal’s 2026 Best Colleges in the U.S. Cedarville is also known for its vibrant Christian community, challenging academics and high graduation and retention rates.

Three decades in heavy music is a long time to survive changing trends, shifting lineups and an industry that is always searching for its next big thing. For Chad Gray, however, the music has never been about chasing a moment. It has been about creating songs that connect with listeners through aggression, vulnerability and an unmistakable vocal identity.

That legacy took center stage at OCC Road House & Museum in Clearwater on October 16, as Gray brought his 30 Years of Madness tour to Florida's Gulf Coast. With BUTCHER BABIES & DEVIL’S CUT rounding out the bill, the evening offered a celebration of heavy music's past and present, anchored by the unmistakable voice behind MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH.

For longtime fans, Gray's career represents two distinct but complementary sides of modern metal. MUDVAYNE built its reputation on unconventional rhythms, unpredictable arrangements and a sound that could shift from restrained tension to outright sonic chaos in seconds. HELLYEAH, meanwhile, delivered a more direct, hard-hitting approach, combining groove-heavy riffs with choruses built for audiences to shout back from the crowd.

The 30 Years of Madness concept brings those musical identities together, allowing Gray to revisit the songs that established his reputation while reminding audiences that his career extends well beyond any single band.

Before Gray took the stage, The BUTCHER BABIES had the responsibility of preparing the audience for an evening built around intensity. The band has spent years establishing itself as a formidable live act, balancing aggressive metal arrangements with memorable hooks and a confrontational stage presence.

Frontwoman Heidi Shepherd remains central to that identity. Her vocal delivery can shift from sharp-edged aggression to melodic passages without losing the urgency that drives the band's music. The combination gives BUTCHER BABIES a sound that works both as a standalone attraction and as a natural fit alongside the heavier material associated with Gray's catalog.

The band's recent material also reflects its willingness to explore more than one shade of heavy music. Their set included "Red Thunder," "Sincerity" and "Lost In Your Touch" which demonstrated a broader melodic range, while tracks including "Beaver Cage" and "Spittin' Teeth" maintain the group's harder edge.

That balance is important. BUTCHER BABIES are not simply relying on volume or attitude; their appeal comes from combining those elements with songs that have their own personality. On a bill celebrating a veteran vocalist's extensive catalog, that distinction helps make the opening performance an essential part of the evening rather than merely an introduction to the headliner.

Shepherd and the band represent a newer chapter in heavy music's continuing evolution, proving that aggressive music can retain its bite while making room for melody, atmosphere and different approaches to songwriting.

During “Monsters Ball,” Heidi stood on the stage and the barrier and reached into the crowd for some audience assistance with the crowd screaming into her microphone.

Shepard and the band were simply unstoppable on Friday night at OCC. Her stage presence and the way she played to the crowd physically and vocally will be remembered as one of the moments of this year’s concert season.

Having seen BUTCHER BABIES perform

at both Louder Than Life and OCC Road House, it’s clear that the band have not only moved forward following the departure of former co-frontwoman Carla Harvey, but have emerged as an even stronger, more unified force. With their chemistry, energy and continued evolution on full display, BUTCHER BABIES appear poised to write many more chapters in their story.

With a short break between sets, It was time for the birthday boy and his bandmates that included Marcus Rafferty and Joe Bonasorte on guitar, Nick Villarreal on bass, and Devin Attard on drums to take the stage.

The started with a perfect opener and one of HELLYEAH’s biggest songs in “Moth” and went directly into MUDVAYNE’s “Happy.”

Gray’s voice seemed strong even though he has been experiencing some vocal issues and his makeup was reminiscent of Two Face from Batman mythology, which made complete sense as both bands are a contract of vocal styles.

The set increased in aggressiveness with “Hellyeah!” “Nothing to Gein” and “Sangre por Sangre” with the crowd joining in and chanting “Blood for Blood.” After the latter, the band took a short break when guitarist Marcus Rafferty came up to the microphone to thank OCC for putting on a wonderful Autism event and the team for building a beautiful custom chopper with the autism logos and insignias on it. This was extra special for Marcus as both his children have been diagnosed with it and were brought in special for the show.

Rafferty then told the crowd that it was Gray’s birthday and his wife and Sirius XM’s own Shannon Gunz came out on stage with the crew and a huge cake to celebrate her husband’s 55th birthday.

Gray thanked everyone there especially Leo and Billy who created a custom bike for Chad for his birthday and Gunz thanked the fans for always making Chad happy even when he sometimes has a tough time being that way. Both Gunz & Gray were very poignant and upfront which made us feel like we were in their close circle of friends.

Gray also spoke to the crowd throughout their set mentioning many times how important the fans are and that they are the most important part of the industry as without the fans, there isn’t one. Chad also talked about his brothers in Dimebag and his former bandmate Vinnie Paul and how Vinnie created a song that was introduced by Vinnie yelling “Fuck Your Mother.” Gray then had the crowd chanting the same which brought infectious grins throughout OCC and then told them all they had to do was slam their necks the rest of the night.

The band finished off the night with “Love Falls” and then one of MUDVAYNE’s biggest tracks in “Dig” which got everyone thrashing a bit still as they left the venue. It’s stop-start rhythms, abrasive delivery and explosive refrain made it one of the band's signature tracks. As a closing number on the tour, it serves as a reminder of the music that first brought Gray to the attention of a much wider audience.

The strength of the 30 Years of Madness concept lies in bringing those worlds together. Rather than treating Gray's career as a collection of disconnected chapters, the show celebrates the common thread running through them: a vocalist whose delivery remains recognizable regardless of the musical setting.

The Clearwater stop brought those elements together for an evening centered on the enduring appeal of heavy music. It was a reminder that the songs people carry with them are not frozen in the years when they first heard them. They evolve alongside the listeners who return to them as do the performers who created them.

Thirty years is a significant milestone for any musician. For Chad Gray, it is an opportunity to celebrate the music that brought him here while continuing to bring it to audiences who want to experience it at full volume. The madness, it seems, still has plenty of life left in it which to say makes us very………”Happy.”
