Since then, the community has grown and evolved considerably and remains a leader in vibrant retirement living for Baltimore-area seniors.
Today, Oak Crest continues to offer its nearly 2,000 residents an engaged retirement lifestyle, supported by 1,100 employees, eight on-campus dining venues, a wide array of activities and amenities, and a full range of continuing care to support health and well-being at every age.
Throughout the year, the community hosted a series of special events to celebrate this exciting milestone. The festivities began in January with a Pioneer Brunch, recognizing three residents and six employees who have been a part of Oak Crest since its opening in 1995. In March, a campus-wide celebration brought live music to each restaurant, where guests enjoyed a chef-crafted dinner featuring hors d'oeuvres, charcuterie, and champagne.
The community also produced a special "Where Are They Now" video program in honor of this year’s special anniversary. The program spotlighted 30 former Oak Crest Scholars, team members who started as dining servers and have since gone on to grow their careers with Oak Crest and Erickson Senior Living.
In December, the community looks forward to hosting a "Grand Illumination" event, which will transform clubhouse lobbies, Friendship Park, and the Village Green courtyard with festive lights and holiday cheer.
