Downtown Pleasant Hill is celebrating the onset of summer by announcing its Annual Summer Concert Series, which is a highly anticipated tradition that brings the community together to enjoy a variety of live musical performances in a festive, outdoor setting.
Held in the heart of Pleasant Hill at Crescent Drive Plaza in front of Jack’s Restaurant & Bar, this free concert series offers a fantastic opportunity for both locals and visitors to revel in the delightful ambiance of summer evenings filled with music.
Running from June to September, the concert series features an eclectic lineup of bands that showcase a range of music genres, including R&B, soul, rock, and more. Each concert takes place on Thursday or Friday evenings, from 7:00-9:00pm, making it a perfect mid-week break to relax, unwind, and dance the night away.

In addition to the musical entertainment, the concert series also supports a festive atmosphere with a variety of dining and shopping options nearby. Local eateries and shops around Crescent Drive remain open during concert times, allowing attendees to grab a bite to eat or enjoy some shopping before or after the show.

PLEASANT HILL, CA (June 11, 2025) — The Pleasant Hill Community is invited to attend two upcoming events, one celebrating Juneteenth, and the other a celebration of Pride Month. Details on the events are below:
June 19, 1865 commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, when over 250,000 enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were freed, nearly three years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Lincoln. . In June, 2021, Juneteenth was recognized as a U.S. Federal Holiday. The City of Pleasant Hill honors and recognizes our African American community and invite all to join the City in celebrating Juneteenth.
In Pleasant Hill, the City’s Diversity Commission is partnering with Off the Grid to hold a community party for Juneteenth on June 19, 2025 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Gregory Lane.
During the evening, participants can get dinner from the outstanding food trucks of Off the Grid, who will be lined up all along Trelany Rd. In addition there will be a number of vendor and activity booths across the grounds. Organizations providing booths include the Diversity Commission, Civic Action Commission, Orange Theory Fitness, Mackenzie Lee Foster, The West Coast Chess Alliance, Valley View Middle School PTSA, The Miles Hall Foundations, and Branches.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy performances by Unique Derique, Princess Tiana, Peaceful Warriors, and a live music show from The Joint Chiefs from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Commemorating June 2025 as Pride Month, the Pleasant Hill Diversity Commission is again partnering with Off the Grid to have an evening dedicated to the City’s LGBTQIA+ community.
From 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. the community is invited to come to City Hall, 100 Gregory Lane to an enjoy an evening of food, music, and Pride themed activity booths. Groups providing booths for the event this year include:

WALNUT CREEK, CA — BART will shut down train service between the Walnut Creek and Concord stations on a weekend later this month to replace decades-old track.
The transit agency said instead of trains going over that stretch on June 21-22, it will provide free bus service between the Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre, and Concord stations.
Riders can expect delays of 20 to 30 minutes through the area.
The project will also require BART to cancel some late-night and early-morning trains.
The schedule changes begin June 21, when the first southbound trains usually departing Concord at 5:35 a.m. and 5:55 a.m. will be canceled. Instead, the first southbound trains going to San Francisco will depart Walnut Creek at 5:43 a.m., 6:03 a.m. and 6:23 a.m.
To accommodate southbound passengers, buses will depart Concord at 5:23 a.m. 5:43 a.m. and 6:03 a.m. and Pleasant Hill at 5:30 a.m., 5:50 a.m., and 6:10 a.m. to connect with these trains.
On both nights of the closure, the last southbound train will depart Antioch at 11:42 p.m. The regular train from Pittsburg/Bay Point at 12:10 a.m. will be canceled. Riders must take the earlier southbound train, departing Antioch at 11:23 p.m. and Pittsburg/Bay Point at 11:44 p.m.
On June 22, the usual first southbound trains departing Concord at 7:35 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. will be canceled. Instead, the first trains going to San Francisco will depart the Walnut Creek station at 7:43 a.m. 8:03 a.m., and 8:23 a.m.
Buses will depart Concord at 7:23 a.m., 7:43 a.m. and 8:03 a.m. and Pleasant Hill at 7:30 a.m., 7:50 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. to connect with the trains.
BART said the work is part of the agency's efforts to improve safety and reliability of the 131-mile, 50-station system. There are now more rebuilding projects happening across BART than at any point in its 50-year history.
