The Classy Cow Food Joint is open in Clarksboro NJ… a second location for the popular BBQ and more restaurant which has it’s original location in Logan Township.
I stopped in at the Berkeley Road Classy Cow Clarksboro location yesterday to meet owners Romeo and Jamie, as well as their awesome staff including Kayla.
Classy Cow Clarksboro brings an expanded menu to the area featuring their signature BBQ, but stretches into amazing Half Pound Burgers, Chicken Wings and Tenders, Cheesesteaks, Specialty Chicken Sandwiches (Including Chicken Parm!), Southern Fried Chicken Sandwiches and delicious Gifford’s Ice Cream and Milkshakes.
The Classy Cow Clarksboro location is in a newer strip mall positioned with the center being midway between Cinderbar Clarksboro and Bourbon and Brews on Rt 295.
Within the building, Classy Cow takes over the former space of Grillbillies on the righthand side. The block of stores also includes Pinspiration, Primo hoagies, Sugared, the Berkley Liquor store and more.
The remodel into the Classic Cow leaves several familiar elements from the prior restaurant, but Jamie and the team did an amazing job fully bringing their decor into the Classy Cow universe… with Cow paintings, caricatures and stuffed animals spread throughout the dining area
The customer space is actually somewhat large with a variety of seating options including traditional size tables as well as high top tables and a very long picnic style table that looks like it could seat 16 people!
Being a corner unit in the building they get the benefit of full wall glass that wraps around the corner, bringing a lot of natural light into the dining room.
I stopped in for a late lunch and went with their brand new Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich which is made from 2 very large fresh chicken tenders, coleslaw, pickle and their signature sauce as well as a side of fries.
The chicken was prepared perfectly with a crispy outer fried chicken crunch, which then bites into the most tender piece of chicken I may have ever had. Romeo says that’s because the chicken is marinated in his own flavor recipe marinade, before they are served for customer orders
There is a lot of chicken on the sandwich and it’s paired with a big order of seasoned natural cut French fries… delicious and very filling!
I also couldn’t resist a milkshake, which I chose a classic vanilla milkshake, and Kayla add rainbow jimmies on the top of the fresh whipped cream.
Absolutely delicious and refreshing, I definitely noticed it was a higher quality ice cream. Back home I see that Classy Cow is using Gifford’s Ice Cream which is a family owned ice cream maker from Maine, using only the freshest ingredients and ice cream making techniques that go back several generations.
The Classy Cow Clarksboro has been open for about a week in their soft opening phase but quite honestly my late afternoon visit saw a lot of customers coming in and out, as well as a steady stream of delivery drivers… So it seems where it has already gotten out on the high quality classical food and ice cream experience.
I noticed that Classy Cow also puts a thought of thought into the dining experience, with staff regularly circling the dining room to check on customers, clean up tables, and refill condiments and paper towels.
Th celebrate the new location, this Saturday May 31st they are celebrating their Official Grand Opening and for those who purchase a meal, there entered into a gift card drawing.
Classy Cow Clarksboro is open every day except Sunday. Monday through Thursday 11 AM 7:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
