The Texas Hill Country could soon be in store for exciting celebrity sightings. Clint Orms Engravers & Silversmiths, an award-winning western luxury brand, has expanded into Kerrville's downtown with a new expansive showroom store.
The brand previously had a showroom in Ingram, Texas, about 7 miles northwest of Kerrville, but its new facility will serve as its first flagship store, elevating its retail experience for clients who have supported the storied brand for decades. The 11,000-square-foot flagship will feature a 2,500-square-foot retail showroom and a state-of-the-art production studio/facility where 19 real-live artists will chisel away at handcrafted sterling silver, solid gold belt buckles, money clips, hat adornments and other accessories on century-old equipment while collectors and shoppers alike search for their next piece.
MySA first learned about Orms' plans for the showroom in 2024.
The beloved artisan is a legendary engraver and silversmith in the western world, with many of his pieces worn by celebrities like Post Malone, Dwight Yokum, Garth Brooks, Tommy Lee Jones, Nolan Ryan, Robert Earl Keen, Lyle Lovett, Ben Crenshaw and even former President George W. Bush, some rappers and even a queen or two.
Who knows? Maybe we'll see Posty stop by the new location ahead of his rumored appearance at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving show. The musician is known to collect Orms' jewelry-grade belt buckles, earrings, cufflinks, and hat accessories.
The Texas brand was founded in 1992 by Orms, gaining recognition for his hand-engraved sterling silver and gold belt buckles, jewelry and more.
The new showroom is located at 741 Water Street, Kerrville, TX 78028, just about 10 minutes from another iconic Texas lifestyle brand, James Avery. The charm-bracelet empire was founded in Kerrville and stepped up to the plate this past July, joining a number of other local businesses to donate more than a million dollars to flood relief efforts. It's another Texas staple that the Orms dynasty is happy to be setting up shop near.
"James Avery is one of the best companies in the world," Orms told MySA."They truly are, and it's a real Texas treasure."
Though the two lifestyle brands make very different products — Orms primarily makes elevated belt buckles — the company joins James Avery in wanting to be a part of Kerrville's future.
The engraver told MySA that he’s looking forward to the store’s grand opening downtown as the city continues to rebuild. When asked if he feels the showroom is a symbol of some of Kerrville’s progress, he answered, “We sure want it to be,” later emphasizing the brand's commitment to Western values and the resilience of the cowboy culture it represents. That commitment, he added, is grounded in a familiar symbol.
“No matter where you are in the world, the American cowboy is, really, a hero," said Orms. "It doesn’t matter what religion you are, whatever, it’s still admired as, you know, a symbol of honor and hard work, integrity, and grit, and doing what you have to do to keep going,” he concluded.
A grand opening celebration will be held from November 13 to 15, with both VIP and public events scheduled, including an all-day shopping event on Friday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Guests will get a better look at what goes into the Orms signature design process.
“We are thrilled to open our flagship showroom in Kerrville, our home for more than two decades,” Orms said in a news release. “This new space allows us to bring customers into the heart of our craft, to see the work, meet the makers, and celebrate the spirit of the American West.”
