“I hired Always Best Care of Fort Bend because they’re the ones close to me. They’re the ones who responded to me quickly, and they have a good offer. Their work is very good, so my wife is also happy with them. The caregivers are supposed to be hands on. My wife’s interactions with them are very, very good. That is what I want from the person who takes care of my wife. They do light housekeeping and companionship. They’re helping her on the therapy side with a little bit of exercise. They basically assist her on normal stuff like urination, any body disposal, and showers. The billing is direct to my credit card, so there’s no letter to be sent out; it’s automatic.”

“I am a current client of this provider I have somebody from Always Best Care coming in three days a week. They're always very polite, very caring, and dependable, and they're always there for your needs. I have been using them for two years now. Mainly, this lady comes and drives me to my doctor's appointments, to shopping, and to whatever I ask her to do. She also washes clothes for me on the days we don't go out. She does different little things that I need. She is very polite and always on time, and I just pay once a month. They're good.”

“I want to thank you for two wonderful sitters, Akefia and Sophie. I enjoyed Akefia so much! If it weren’t for social distancing, we could have enjoyed puzzles and games. She was always ready for anything fun and things I needed. She learned my routines and automatically tended to them, too. For some reason, I never could recall her name consistently, so she let me call here Keke! Now I have no problem remembering her pretty name. Go figure! She and I enjoy colder weather, so we opened the doors every morning during the first cold snap. That cold air felt soooooo good. Sophie didn’t like the colder nights, so she used a quilt, and I turned up the heater. Turns out, I enjoyed the warmer temperatures at night, too! Sophie always came in quietly if I was already in bed and checked on me if I got out of bed. Once, Akefia’s ride came late and the three of us had a nice visit. I am using my walker now and the wheelchair when my foot tells me to give it tender loving care. My first physical therapy session is next week. I am driving and able to get small curbside pick-up orders at HEB. Akefia and Sophie got me over the hump to recovery.”

Absolutely! Federal law gives patients the freedom to choose their home healthcare provider. It would be our honor to care for you, or your loved one when you need us most!
Home health is designed to help you recover in the comfort of your home through skilled nurses and rehabilitation services. Home health must be ordered by a physician when they determine that your condition requires you to stay at home for rehab and recovery from illness, injury or surgery. Home health is the most cost effective option for receiving care as it allows for patients and their families to be home where they want to be.
Home health is skilled clinical care ordered by a health care provider. These services might include things like nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy, and are designed to help you manage your condition and regain your independence after illness, injury, or surgery.
Personal home care assistance involves non-clinical services, such as help around the house, transportation, bathing, and light meal preparation.
Paying for home health services can be done through various methods, depending on your specific situation and the options available to you. Here are some common payment methods:
Medicare: If you qualify for Medicare, it may cover 100% of your home health services. Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for individuals aged 65 and older, but it can also cover younger individuals with certain disabilities. To be eligible for Medicare coverage of home health services, you typically need a doctor’s order and meet specific criteria related to your health condition.
Private Insurance: Many private health insurance plans cover home health services. The coverage and requirements can vary significantly from one insurance plan to another, so it’s essential to check with your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage and any out-of-pocket costs you might incur.
Medicare Advantage: Some individuals choose to enroll in Medicare Advantage plans (Part C), which are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans often include coverage for home health services, but the specifics can vary by plan.
Long-Term Care Insurance: Long-term care insurance policies are designed to cover the costs of various long-term care services, including home health care. If you have such a policy, check your coverage to see if it includes home health services and any specific requirements for reimbursement.
Veteran’s Benefits: Veterans may be eligible for home health services coverage through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Eligibility and coverage depend on factors such as your service-connected disability status and other criteria. Contact the VA or your local Veterans Health Administration office for more information.
Workers’ Compensation: If your need for home health services is related to a work-related injury or illness, workers’ compensation insurance may cover the costs. This generally applies to injuries or illnesses that occurred on the job.
Private Pay: If you don’t have insurance coverage or if the services you require are not covered, you can choose to pay for home health services out of pocket. The cost will depend on the specific services needed and the rates charged by the home health agency.
Before receiving home health services, it’s crucial to verify your eligibility and coverage options. This often involves discussing your insurance or payment method with the home health agency’s financial team. They can assist you in navigating the payment process and help answer any questions you may have about financing your care.
Always Best Care Senior Services offers a wide range of home health services to our patients. Whether the patient is recovering from illness or injury, or has a long-term condition, Always Best Care Senior Services provides skilled, compassionate, healthcare in the comfort of your home.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
At your first visit a nurse will conduct an initial comprehensive assessment through a combination of interview and hands on assessment. The assessment will focus on identifying areas where you may benefit from education on self-care management in addition to providing hands on intervention. Your nurse will review all your medications and make sure you are taking them correctly and safely, as well as assist you in setting them up if needed. Your nurse will collaborate with your physician and determine the level of care you need. This approach helps to allow you to stay in the comfort of your home and actively engages you and your caregiver in your health care.
The frequency and type of home health visits and the services provide are based on your individualized plan of care. Your doctor may change your plan of care, increasing or decreasing the number of visits or services provided, in order to provide you with the best care possible.
An individual shall be considered to be “confined to his home” if the individual has a condition, due to an illness or injury, that restricts the ability of the individual to leave his or her home except with the assistance of another individual or the aid of a supportive devise (such as crutches, a cane, a wheelchair, or a walker), or if the individual has a condition such that leaving his or her home is medically contraindicated. While an individual does not have to be bedridden to be considered “confined to his home”, the condition of the individual should be such that there exists a normal inability to leave home or that leaving home requires a considerable and taxing effort by the individual.
Yes. If you or a loved one is interested in receiving skilled home health care services, speak with your primary care physician, nurse practitioner, or other health care provider.
Personal home care is often needed alongside skilled home health services, and we can help coordinate the two levels of care. A limited number of your personal home care hours may be covered by Medicare while you’re receiving clinical in-home care, but it’s generally paid separately or covered by private insurance or other government programs.
