WHEREAS, Hispanic Heritage Month provides an opportunity to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of our Hispanic and Latino community and to recognize that Statesville is strongest when the people and cultures that have helped shape our city are valued, represented, and empowered to help lead its future;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. Douglas Hendrix, Mayor of the City of Statesville, do hereby proclaim September 15 through October 15, 2026, as HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH and commend its observance to all City of Statesville Community.
