It's the end of the line for Joann Fabrics.
The Hudson, Ohio-based retailer will close all its stores, more than 800 in 49 states, after it was sold during a bankruptcy auction over the weekend.
Joann previously announced it would close about 500 stores, leaving several hundred stores open. However, those plans changed following the auction.

The winning bidder, announced Saturday, was GA Joann Retail Partnership, the Beacon Journal reported previously. It is a partnership between financial services company GA Group and Joann's term lenders, an attorney for Joann said on Friday.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware has scheduled a Wednesday hearing for formal approval of the auction results.
Joann Fabrics stores begin going out of business sales. When will stores close?
Joann started going-out-of-business sales last weekend at the stores it had planned to close prior to the auction.
The company announced on joannrestructuring.com that sales at the remaining stores will begin pending court approval.
Any dates on store closures will be communicated as soon as possible, per a Joann customer FAQ.
Company files for bankruptcy twice in a year
In January, Joann filed for bankruptcy for the second time in less than 12 months and announced it could go out of business if a better offer to buy the company wasn't found.
Previously, Joann Inc. filed for bankruptcy in March 2024. The company was expected to receive about $132 million in new financing and reduce an estimated $505 million of debt, according to a Joann news release.
Is Joann accepting Joann gift cards? Can I return purchases?
According to the customer FAQ posted on joannrestructuring.com, stores will accept gift cards through Feb. 28. That's a change from the previous policy that did not accept gift cards.
However, Joann Fabrics is not accepting returns.
