From tethered balloon rides to fireworks and more, here's what you can expect from the event.
ROSSFORD, Ohio — Rossford's Balloon and Fireworks Festival will bring a display of hot air balloons, fireworks, family fun and more to the village in the coming weeks.
Scheduled for July 18 and 19, the festival will be held behind Meijer on Route 20/Fremont Pike near the I-75/I-80 exchange. It is free and open to the public to attend the show, and features a variety of activities and events, some of which are at a cost.
If you'd like to experience the hot air balloons for yourself, tethered rides on both days will be available from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for $15 per person. Ticket sales start at 6 p.m.
These balloon rides are weather permitting, and include and easy access basket for those with mobility needs.
The Family Fun Zone, located in front of TOCA Soccer and Sports Center, is composed of four zones: Kiddie Zone, Family Zone, Speed Zone and Carnival Zone.
Tickets are $12 per person, per zone, or $29 for all four zones. Early bird pricing is good until July 6.

On both Friday and Saturday, the festival will launch hot air balloons (including a glow balloon), as well as a fireworks display that is set to music.
The hot air balloons will ascend from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. The glow balloon display will happen from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The fireworks display will occur at 10 p.m.
The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, as seating is not provided.
The event will feature live music. Below is the performance schedule:

The event will include a beer garden, as well as feature food trucks from around the area.
Both the beer garden and food trucks will operate from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Parking is free. Drivers should look for event parking signs. A TARTA Shuttle will transport visitors from the Crossroads Shopping Center. Handicapped parking is located in the Rossford Meijer Garden Center.
