ABC only provides nurse aides and CNAs with the proper state of Hawaii approved training and certifications. Since my husband requires a high level of care, they told us that only nurse aides who complete state approved training are allowed to assist with his bathing, toileting, walking, etc. Regular companionship caregivers are not allowed to do this.
