Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like any small business, there have been challenges, especially when it comes to finding new customers, building a consistent online presence, and getting people to discover my business.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance the creative side of the business with everything that comes with running a business—marketing, social media, responding to clients, pricing, planning, and making sure every event goes smoothly. There have been times when I’ve questioned whether I was doing enough or growing fast enough.
At the same time, those challenges have pushed me to learn and grow. Every event, customer, and experience has taught me something new. I’ve learned to be more confident in my work, listen to my customers, and keep improving rather than expecting everything to be perfect.
I’m still growing and figuring things out, but I’m proud of how far Briehappyboards has come. The challenges have made the journey more meaningful and have motivated me to keep building something that I truly love.

What I love most about my work is the creative process. I enjoy taking an idea, theme, or vision from a client and turning it into something beautiful, delicious, and memorable. I’m known for creating grazing tables that are not only full of great food, but also feel like a centerpiece for the event.
What I’m most proud of is how much Briehappyboards has grown and the relationships I’ve built with my customers along the way. Seeing my work become part of someone’s wedding, celebration, or special event is incredibly rewarding.

What were you like growing up?Growing up, I was always a very social and creative person. I loved being around people, making connections, and being part of gatherings and celebrations. I’ve always had an eye for little details and enjoyed making things feel special, whether it was putting something together, decorating, or finding creative ways to make an experience memorable.
I was also someone who cared a lot about the people around me. I’ve always enjoyed bringing people together and making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Looking back, I can see how those parts of my personality naturally led me to what I do today.
I never necessarily imagined that I would own a catering business, but the creativity, social side, and love of bringing people together were always there. Briehappyboards really became a way for me to combine all of those things into something of my own.
