TEMECULA, CA — A nonprofit organization recognizing schools and districts that "encourage collaboration among educators on best practices for raising student achievement" has given a nod to two Southwest Riverside County school districts, including Temecula Valley Unified School District.
Last month, the Educational Results Partnership released its annual California "Honor Roll." Both the TVUSD and Murrieta Valley USD made the list.
In addition to school districts, the ERP features a school's Honor Roll. In the TVUSD, 18 made the list: Home INstead INnovation Academy, French Valley Elementary, Erle Stanley Gardner Middle, Bella Vista Middle, Susan La Vorgna Elementary, Temecula Luiseno Elementary, Temecula Valley High, Chaparral High, Temecula Middle, Margarita Middle, Nicolas Valley Elementary, Red Hawk Elementary, Paloma Elementary, Pauba Valley Elementary, Vintage Hills Elementary, Abby Reinke Elementary, James L. Day Middle, and Ysabel Barnett Elementary.
Approximately, 21 percent of the schools in the state made the Honor Roll. Honor Roll schools are recognized for demonstrating consistently higher levels of student achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations, according to ERP.
Besides the MVUSD and TVUSD, only Corona-Norco Unified School District and Riverside Riverside Unified School District made ERP's Honor Roll for districts in Riverside County, though several campuses across the region made the schools' Honor Roll.
