The fall season brings the returns of pumpkin patches, haunted houses and corn mazes to Northern California.
Most pumpkin patches and corn mazes kick off the season at the end of September or early October and are open through Halloween.
Below are some you can visit that are located in and around the Sacramento area.

COOL PUMPKIN PATCH - DIXON
Dixon’s Cool Patch Pumpkins is open from Sept. 21 through Halloween, according to their website.
Every year, their corn maze changes.
Anyone looking to buy tickets to the corn maze must be 18 years or older, and all minors in the maze must be accompanied by an adult.
Cool Patch Pumpkins also offers a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a "corn bath" where you can play in a giant pool of corn and food and drinks.

DELL’OSSO FAMILY FARMS - LATHROP
Lathrop’s popular Dell’Osso Family farms boast several activities, including the corn maze, haunted castle, Del’Osso Express Train, pumpkin treehouse, blasters, mini golf and hay rides.
Visitors can also purchase a season pass that’s valid until Oct. 31, which runs $85 per person, but $80 if you’re a Lathrop resident with ID.

BISHOP’S PUMPKIN FARM - WHEATLAND
Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm claims not only “the largest U-Pick pumpkin field in the world,” but it also has three different corn mazes depending on individual skill levels.
Visitors can also climb aboard the BPF Line, take a "sunflower stroll," visit a petting zoo or ride a carousel and other attractions.
Admission to the pumpkin farm is free most days, but some activities require a different amount of tickets.

DAVE’S PUMPKIN PATCH - WEST SACRAMENTO
Dave’s Pumpkin Patch in West Sacramento offers several family-friendly activities enjoyable for all ages. Visitors can wander through the pumpkin patch, get lost in the corn maze, ride a pony or try their "jumping pillow."
The pumpkin patch is open from Sept. 21 through Halloween.

DUTCH HOLLOW FARMS - MODESTO
Dutch Hollow Farms in Modesto has dozens of fall attractions including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, petting zoo and "critter barn," zip lines, wagon ride, apple cannon, gem mining and pony rides.

We all know that Apple Hill is a popular spot to find everything apple, but many farms also have great pumpkin patches.

KEEMA'S PUMPKIN FARM - ELK GROVE
"Come enjoy the country," is Keema's Pumpkin Farm slogan — and they are correct. The family-oriented pumpkin farm in Elk Grove has been in the family for over 100 years.
The farm has a corn maze, tractor rides, farm animals and U-pick pumpkin fields for the whole family. It's open from Sept. 27 until Halloween.

Little Field Farms in Loomis has plenty of family activities including a two-acre corn maze, its biggest maze ever. There's also a four-acre U-pick pumpkin patch and a pumpkin launcher.

BOBBY DAZZLER'S PUMPKIN PATCH - WOODLAND
Bobby Dazzler Farms in Woodland has tons of unique attractions including a corn bath, a cow train, a Milo Maze, face painting, bounce house, bungee jump and a huge pumpkin patch.
The farm offers free parking and admission, including to a play zone. But several attractions have to be bought separately.
