NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — Local Swifties are gearing up for a full-blown concert at Eastwood Field this weekend with anything and everything Taylor Swift.
In conjunction with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers 2025 Concert Series, local Taylor Swift tribute band the Miss Americanas are returning to Eastwood Field on Friday night. The band is made up of three singers: Hannah Sinclair, Mikayla McIntosh and Angela Cole. The three will explode onto the stage to give a show full of dancing, energy and Taylor Swift.
“I feel like what makes us different from other tribute and cover bands is none of us are trying to be Taylor. We’re just Taylor fans that love Taylor just as much as any other Swiftie,” Sinclair said. “When we get on stage, it’s just a big Swiftie party. We’re all just trying to feel the same energy that she brings to her shows.”
For anyone who hasn’t been to one of Miss Americanas’ shows, it’s a full concert experience with a band, lights and scores of fans.
“I feel like it’s your very own Eras tour in your backyard. Like, how lucky are we to have this space in the Valley to do this in?” Sinclair said. “It gives people a chance to still come and enjoy the music, the energy, the environment, and sing along with their friends, but at a fraction of the cost and right in their backyard.”
Opening the show will be local singer Candace Campana, who will bring a heavy metal feel to the show.
“We do a few covers in the band, but it’s more hard rock, heavy metal, grunge-type things. I liked how the advertisement had it as glitter meets grunge,” Campana said. “It’ll be super fun to have a hard rock opening and then into the glitter of Taylor Swift. It’s going to be a super fun mix mash-up between their world and my world.”
“We have taken some of the mash-ups from the tours, like her various tours over the years, and made them our own, as well as bringing back all of the hits,” Sinclair said. “The setlist this year is a little bit different than last year because she has so many songs. We wanted to make sure that we changed it up a little bit. For anybody who is returning, but still had all of the fan favorites for the people who really want to hear them.”
VIP tickets are still available, which include a limited edition T-shirt, a meet and greet with the band, as well as a lanyard and some songs you won’t hear in the show. There will also be face painting at the venue. Tickets range anywhere from $11.50 – $31.50.
The Miss Americanas show is on Friday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. at Eastwood Field, located at 111 Eastwood Mall Blvd. in Niles. Call 330-505-0000 and visit them online for tickets and for more information.
