Home Care In Palm Beach, FL

Home Care Palm Beach, FL

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting Henry Morrison Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, FL gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. Home care in Palm Beach, FL is a safe, effective way to give your loved ones the care they need when they need it the most.

The Always Best Care Difference

Since 1996, Always Best Care has provided non-medical in-home care for seniors to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle as they get older. We are proud to have helped more than 25,000 seniors maintain higher levels of dignity and respect. We focus on providing seniors with the highest level of in-home care available so that they may live happily and independently.

Unlike some senior care companies, we genuinely want to be included in our clients' lives. We believe that personalized care is always the better option over a "one size fits all" approach. To make sure our senior clients receive the best care possible, we pair them with compassionate caregivers who understand their unique needs. That way, they may provide care accordingly without compromising their wellbeing.

The Always Best Care difference lies in life's little moments - where compassionate care and trustworthy experience come together to help seniors live a fruitful, healthy life. Whether you are an aging adult that can't quite keep up with life's daily tasks or the child of a senior who needs regular in-home services, Always Best Care is here to help.

“I have worked with, and explored working with, various agencies and registries in the Palm Beach County area. I am picky. Always Best Care is qualitatively a notch above every other organization I’ve encountered. Responsive. Amiable. Professional. The aide, Islande, who has worked with my mom is top-notch for our needs. And... I have no doubt Steve (the agency’s owner) and his staff would strive to find someone else, if it hadn’t been a fit.If you are looking for Nursing Care, I strongly recommend giving Always Best Care a chance.BTW: It is important to understand that working with an Nursing Agency (like Always Best Care), means the staff are employees, not independent contractors (as they are when working through a Nursing Registry). An Agency is vested in having good employees, and a good agency wants you to be happy. But even all Agencies are not created equal. I worked with one (Alternative Health Care) where aides did not always show up! That was painful and incredibly stressful, and the manager and other higher-up staff didn’t give a hoot.”

“We have been using Always Best Care for my mom for two years now and I am hear to say that they are the best we have been with. The Caregivers go above and beyond what we expect and treat my with nothing but love. Fran and Steve and Claudia are with us 24/7 everyday. It has been a real rollercoaster with my mom’s issues, but they are definitely our rock of support. Michelle, who is mom’s full time daytime caregiver has been with her since we started and she is like part of the family. She calls and checks on her off hours because she cares and there is no price you can put on that. If you do not try this agency, you are missing out.”

“I am a current client of this provider lways Best Care helped our family secure free in-home care services through Veterans Affairs. VA Community Care benefits were completely unknown to us when we were looking for affordable care for mom and dad. Always Best Care helped us navigate through obtaining the caregiver benefits. Mom received free respite care to help give her a break from caregiver duties while caring for Dad. Their caregivers were kind and reliable, making our experience wonderful. Highly recommended.”

“Steve and Claudia at Always Best Care Senior Services were just awesome in how they provided at home care for my mother Carmen. TESTIMONIALS

“I have been utilizing Always Best Care Senior Services for 2 years to care 24/7 for my elderly parents. I am very pleased with their services. The Owners and Office Staff bend over backwards to make sure that there is always coverage, to alert my parents Caregiver Team of any requests that I make, to advise me when there is an issue with my parents or their dog. The Caregiver Team working with my parents are all compassionate and caring, knowledgeable and skilled. Sadly, my Father passed away in the fall of 2020. Each of their Caregivers, the Owners and the Office Staff expressed to me that they would like to attend his memorial service when we are able to have it. During the weeks he was slipping away, the Caregiver team not only took care of my parents, they looked after me, gently reminding me to eat, rest or take a break. They truly care not only for my parents, but for all our family. I can’t begin to express what a comfort it has been to have them caring for my parents, especially during the pandemic when visits are prohibited. They are my eyes and ears. Working intimately with my parents, the Caregivers are very tuned in to even subtle changes. If you are in the market and looking for a senior services/home health care company, I strongly urge you to reach out to Always Best Care Senior Services. You’ll be happy you did.”

And readily available and again responsive when we reinitiated services for my father. “Always Best Care has been wonderful in many ways. Steve Snell, Owner and Area Representative, and Beverly Casper, RN were patient, kind and respectful while my Dad came to terms with the idea that he really did need help. They were flexible and open and that made all the difference. My Dad's aide Fabienne is responsible and caring and now more of a companion than aide. Steve and his scheduling team has been proactive about any changes that needed to occur and very good about communicating with me both by phone and email. Having them on board has lessened the worry I feel on a daily basis. My mother had a prolonged illness and through the years we dealt with many health care agencies. The attention and care we have received from Always Best Care is, by far, the best we ever have experienced and we are very grateful to have found them.”

The aids have been great for both of my parents. They have formed great relationships with Carol and Fred and now as of recently AnnMarie. The aids help getting groceries and picking up medication and also clean up around the house. They feel very cared for and have really turned the corner in feeling happier and well cared for. What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Palm Beach, FL?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Cafe Boulud or visit Worth Avenue Clock Tower, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Palm Beach, FL, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

 Elderly Care Palm Beach, FL

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your FL's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.
 Senior Care Palm Beach, FL

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. About 20 miles east of Lake Wales, just up the road from Highway 60, Lake Kissimmee State Park re-created an 1876 cow camp in the heart of Central Florida.

A decade after the Civil War, Florida was sparsely populated, made dirt poor by conflict and defeat. Tourism and citrus hadn't yet overtaken the cattle industry, which had started in the 16th century with the original Spanish explorers and their Andalusian cows.

Nearly 150 years later, Florida ranks ninth in the country in beef cow production with 862,000 head as of 2024, according to the University of Florida's cattle market update.

So what does this have to do with what's known as the "Florida Cracker"?

In the re-enactment, characters with names such as Rooster and Skeeter, drink black coffee from tin cups, pump water by hand, stretch out in rope-and-log beds and whine about their $1.50-a-day pay.

Was Florida captured during the Civil War?

What is a 'marsh tackie'?

For centuries, cows were not shepherded herds. They were "free range." Florida had no fences. But it did have cow hunters. This bloodline was a resilient breed that could withstand Florida's climate. They foraged on natural vegetation and withstood the high temperatures and bugs.

A team ranging from one person to 25 would work through the trees and scrub, riding a lithe "marsh tackie,'' a diminutive horse bred in Spain to be lean and sure-footed.

The whip rarely touched the cow; usually, it just gave the animal a little encouragement. Legend says the crack of the whip is the source of the nickname "cracker," although many old-time Floridians now complain the term has become derogatory.

The hunters would round up maybe 500 to 700 dogies, then get them across the Kissimmee River valley in an arduous 45-day journey from Okeechobee to Paynes Prairie, south of Gainesville.

From there, some cows were fattened before being loaded onto trains for slaughterhouses in Georgia or other northern destinations. The rest were herded down to the docks at Punta Rassa, north of Fort Myers, where they were loaded onto barges for Cuba, where a healthy cow brought $6 to $14, a pretty price at the time. $14 in 1876 is about $340 now.

Re-enactments at Kissimmee State Park are on Saturdays, Oct. 1 through April 30, except Christmas. Check with the park for more information at (863) 696-1112.

A Florida resident will soar beyond the confines of Earth's atmosphere when Blue Origin's next human spaceflight gets off the ground.

Jeff Bezos' commercial spaceflight company has announced the names of the next group of space tourists who will board Blue Origin's New Shepard vehicle in West Texas for a short trip more than 60 miles above Earth. Among those six passengers is a man who lives in Florida with his family, according to Blue origin.

The upcoming launch would be Blue Origin's first crewed New Shepard spaceflight in more than two months, and sixth since the company made headlines in April when pop star Katy Perry and broadcast journalist Gayle King joined four others on an all-women spaceflight.

The impending trip also comes on the heels of Blue Origin's latest launch of its massive New Glenn rocket on an uncrewed mission from Florida.

Here's everything to know about Blue Origin's next New Shepard mission, known as NS-37 – the vehicle's 16th human spaceflight and 37th overall.

When is the next Blue Origin rocket launch?

Blue Origin has not yet officially announced a target date for liftoff as of Thursday, Dec. 4. However, in the past Blue Origin has typically revealed the crews of New Shepard missions within about a week of a planned launch.

Where are Blue Origin launches?

Blue Origin New Shepard rocket launches take place from the company's private ranch facility known as Launch Site One in Texas near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Who is the crew of the next Blue Origin mission? Florida resident among 6

When the New Shepard gets off the ground again, the six people selected to board it will join 80 others who have flown on the spacecraft across 15 previous human spaceflights, including six repeat passengers.

Among them is Joey Hyde, a physicist and investor who retired from leading a hedge fund who lives in Florida with his wife and five children.

"His grandparents ignited his fascination with space when they brought him to watch the 1988 launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, which sparked a lifelong curiosity in human spaceflight and exploration," Blue Origin said in a Wednesday, Dec. 3, press release. "Joey sees his flight with Blue Origin as a continuation of his commitment to advancing science and inspiring future generations of explorers."

Here's a look at the other five passengers of a mission known as NS-37:

Does Jeff Bezos own Blue Origin? Does Bezos live in Florida?

Billionaire Jeff Bezos, best known for founding Amazon, founded the private space technology company Blue Origin in 2000. Headquartered in Washington state, Blue Origin conducts tests and launches of its small New Shepard spacecraft from West Texas.

Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos, who also rode on an April New Shepard spaceflight, own property in the exclusive community of Indian Creek Village, known as Billionaire Bunker, near Miami Beach, Florida.

What is New Shepard?

New Shepard is Blue Origin's reusable suborbital rocket that the company primarily uses to transport crews of up to six people on short trips to the edge of space.

Bezos even boarded Blue Origin's New Shepard for its maiden crewed voyage in July 2021, which came after the spacecraft flew on 15 flight tests beginning in 2012.

What is New Glenn? Rocket launches from Florida's Space Coast

The smaller, suborbital New Shepard vehicle is not to be confused with Blue Origin's towering orbital New Glenn rocket that has now launched twice from Florida in 2025.

The 322-foot spacecraft, one of the largest active rockets in the world, last got off the ground Nov. 13 from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on a mission to propel twin NASA ESCAPADE satellites on a voyage to Mars' orbit. The launch took place at Launch Complex 36, a site Blue Origin invested $1 billion to rebuild.

While New Shepard is designed for quick trips to space, New Glenn is indicative of Blue Origin's aim to compete with billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX – whose fleet of Falcon rockets dominates the commercial space industry.

What happens during a New Shepard rocket launch?

Each spaceflight on a New Shepard vehicle lasts about 11 minutes from liftoff to capsule touchdown.

Named after astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American in space, the 60-foot-tall New Shepard rocket is topped with the gum drop-shaped crew capsule. The spacecraft operates completely autonomously, meaning no pilots are aboard.

During its ascent, the spacecraft reaches supersonic speeds surpassing 2,000 mph before the rocket booster separates from the crew capsule. At that point, the capsule becomes weightless as the spacecraft continues toward its highest point on its brief voyage above the Ka?rma?n Line – the 62-mile-high internationally recognized boundary of space.

If it's a mission with people on board, the passengers will at this time experience a few minutes of microgravity after they unstrap themselves from their seats to gaze out the capsule’s large windows and take in a stunning view of Earth.

Meanwhile, the rocket booster heads back to the ground while firing its engines and using its fins to slow and control its descent to land vertical about two miles from the launchpad.

The capsule itself eventually begins what Blue Origin refers to as a "stable freefall” – plummeting back to Earth as three massive parachutes deploy and the capsule makes a soft landing in the desert, sending up plumes of dust.

Two developers have joined forces on a single-family housing development in West Palm Beach.

The Estates at Nomar (named for the Northwood Marina Quarter) will comprise 100 homes, measuring 1,800 to 3,900 square feet each. Features include open-concept floorplans, high-end modern finishings, and private garages.

Currently, the luxury homes are priced at $1.5 million, with the goal of attracting affluent residents to West Palm Beach’s Northwood neighborhood. From the South Florida Business Journal, the project “highlights the strong demand for new homes in West Palm Beach as the ‘Wall Street South’ campaign continues to lure businesses and wealthy residents to the city.”

Four model homes are undergoing construction; they’re slated for completion in the first quarter of 2026. GL Homes and Huizenga Holdings are the two developers. Sunrise-based GL Homes, one of the state’s largest homebuilders, joined the project in 2024.

Huizenga Holdings, operated by the family of late billionaire H. Wayne Huizenga, has another project in its pipeline: a plan to redevelop the Rybovich Marina. Also located in West Palm Beach, the $2 billion venture will feature 660 residences in four high-rise towers, along with extensive office, commercial, and recreational space.

Our sources don’t list an exact address for the Estates at Nomar, but we know that it will be located west of North Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach in Palm Beach County, FL.

Cain and OKO Group have secured a $630 million refinancing for 830 Brickell, a 57-story Class A office tower at the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The new financing package, led by Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase, replaces the prior construction bridge loan from TYKO Capital provided in July 2024.

Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and completed in 2023, 830 Brickell is the first stand-alone Class A+ office building delivered in Brickell in more than ten years. The tower is anchored by a roster of major international and domestic tenants including Microsoft, Citadel, Kirkland & Ellis, CI Financial, Thoma Bravo, Marsh Insurance, Santander Bank, and Sidley Austin.

“Miami continues to be one of the top global destinations for businesses, and the strong demand we have witnessed at 830 Brickell is a direct reflection of that,” said Jonathan Goldstein, CEO of Cain, and Vlad Doronin, founder, chairman and CEO of OKO Group. “This successful refinancing backed by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan further underscores the confidence in the Miami market and in leading office destinations. We are committed to continually investing in 830 and ensuring it remains a best in class environment for the founders, executives and companies choosing to grow in this dynamic city.”

Legal counsel for Cain and OKO Group was provided by a team from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman led by Nellie Camerik. The financing was arranged by Newmark, with a team led by Adam Spies.

F-16s scrambled, flares deployed to intercept plane near Mar-a-Lago

U.S. military jets on Saturday intercepted a civilian aircraft that flew through temporarily restricted airspace over Palm Beach, Florida, where President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate is located, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

The civilian plane entered the airspace at around 4:20 p.m. EST that afternoon, NORAD said. It dispatched F-16 fighter jets to the site, which initially sent out flares to get the pilot's attention before escorting the plane out of the restricted zone.

"The flares, which may have been visible to the public, are used with the highest regard for safety, burn out quickly and completely, and pose no danger to people on the ground," said NORAD. The command is a joint U.S. and Canadian organization that handles aerospace and maritime warnings for North America.

NORAD reminded general aviation pilots to check "Notices to Airmen," or NOTAMS, which are timely advisories that notify pilots of any changes to the national airspace, including temporary flight restrictions, ahead of each flight. Temporary flight restrictions prohibit aircraft from entering certain airspaces for designated periods of time.

The command said military jets "will respond to aircraft violating the [Temporary Flight Restriction and take the necessary action to gain compliance, a scenario we encourage all pilots to avoid."

The interception on Saturday followed "multiple general aviation aircraft violations of restricted airspace" over Palm Beach earlier in the week, according to NORAD, which said the command has responded to more than 40 "tracks of interest" that violated temporary flight restrictions in the West Palm Beach area since President Trump took office in January.

Mr. Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate is located in Palm Beach, and his golf club is in West Palm. The president was at Mar-a-Lago over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

A "track of interest" typically refers to any airborne object that either threatens or has the potential to threaten North America or U.S. national security, and is monitored as such, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Less than two months after Mr. Trump began his second presidential term, in early March, NORAD said military jets had already intercepted 20 civilian aircraft violating temporary flight restrictions near his Palm Beach home.

Back in 2017, during Mr. Trump's first term, a pair of F-15 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept an unresponsive aircraft near Mar-a-Lago. Officials said the military action created a "sonic boom," the sound created by planes traveling at supersonic speeds through the air, which alarmed nearby residents.
