Construction is underway for Sedron’s Indiantown, Florida, upcycling facility. The project is expected to create up to 30 high-paying jobs. Operations are expected to ramp up in 2028, the company says.
A groundbreaking was held in April on the project site at 13151 SW Silver Fox Lane with state and local leaders in attendance. The facility will be located on the site of the former repurposed juice plant that once had 400 jobs on the 12-14 acres, Sedron says.

Based in Mount Vernon, Washington, Sedron provides waste upcycling solutions. At the plant, Sedron will work with its commercial partner, Synagro Technologies Inc., a Baltimore-based provider of sustainable solutions for biosolids, organics and residuals.
Synagro will deliver biosolids from wastewater plants in Southeast Florida, including a 10-year commitment from Martin County.

The facility will use Sedron’s Varcor technology to transform municipal biosolids into recovered water, calcium-rich ash for the cement industry and carbon-negative electricity exported to the grid.
The facility is designed as a regional hub serving municipalities across South Florida with a processing capacity of 200,000 tons of biosolids per year, Sedron says. It provides an alternative to land application, landfilling and traditional incineration, with advanced odor, noise and traffic controls, the company says.
The facility will produce enough electricity for 2,000 homes while delivering significant environmental benefits, all at a lower cost than current disposal methods, says Stanley Janicki, former chief commercial officer of Sedron.
