“To ensure community and public safety as we work to enhance the roadway and provide a safer and more resilient infrastructure, Loxahatchee Road from Parkside Drive to S.R. 7/U.S. 441 will be closed to traffic for phase 2 construction improvements. This closure will be in effect from June 24, 2026 through Fall 2026. During this full closure, traffic will be detoured via Parkside Drive, Holmberg Road and S.R. 7/U.S. 441. Local access to businesses and residential properties along Loxahatchee Road will be maintained at all times throughout construction. As part of phase 2 improvements, properties west of NW 61st Way will continue to be accessed via Parkside Drive. Signage will be in place to assist motorists through the detour.”
There is no update yet on the intersection at State Road 7 and Loxahatchee Road.

Crews have several construction activities scheduled throughout August across two main sections of the corridor.
Between Parkside Drive and State Road 7, work includes sidewalk installation from Parkside Drive to NW 61st Way, drainage installation east of NW 61st Way, roadway paving operations east of Parkside Drive, and ongoing construction of the Parkside Drive roundabout.
Between Parkside Drive and Bishop Pit Road, scheduled work includes median curb installation, drainage manhole adjustments, median backfilling and sod installation, construction of the Nob Hill Road roundabout, sidewalk installation in the box culvert area, and roadway paving in the box culvert area.
The project runs from the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge to State Road 7, with full completion anticipated in early 2027.
