Good news for South Florida’s Trader Joe’s loyalists. More “Mandarin Orange Chicken,” Speculoos cookie butter, and “Everything But the Bagel” seasoning are coming. And this time, South Florida is getting in on the action.
The cult-favorite grocery chain is opening three new Florida locations, including its first-ever store in Boynton Beach. This marks a major milestone for the city of Boynton Beach. The other two locations are planned for Orlando and Sarasota, bringing Florida’s Trader Joe’s count from 29 to 32 once all three stores open.
For Boynton Beach residents who have spent years making grocery runs to neighboring cities to get their Trader Joe’s fix, the announcement is especially sweet. The California-based chain has officially confirmed that it is coming to town, although shoppers will have to wait until 2027 to fill their carts.
Boynton Beach is getting its first-ever Trader Joe’s in 2027
The biggest news for South Florida shoppers is the arrival of Boynton Beach’s very first Trader Joe’s, which will open at 334 N. Congress Ave., Unit B, in 2027.
In an official announcement published October 9, Trader Joe’s confirmed its plans to join the Boynton Beach community. It is promising to bring its signature grocery shopping experience to the city for the first time.
“We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Boynton Beach, FL,” the company wrote in its announcement.
While Trader Joe’s hasn’t announced an exact opening date, it confirmed its crew is working toward a 2027 debut. More details are expected as construction and preparations progress.
Where are the other new Florida Trader Joe’s opening?
Beyond Boynton Beach, Trader Joe’s has two additional Florida stores listed as coming soon. This continues the grocery chain’s expansion across the Sunshine State.
The upcoming locations are:
Interestingly, neither Orlando nor Sarasota is new territory for the chain. The greater Orlando area already has Trader Joe’s locations in Winter Park and Dr. Phillips. Meanwhile, Sarasota-area shoppers have two existing stores to choose from.
The new Orlando location will occupy a former Party City storefront, giving the popular grocer another foothold in Central Florida.
Trader Joe’s continues its Florida expansion
Trader Joe’s continues to grow its footprint across the United States. The California-based company opened 34 stores in 2024 and 43 in 2025, and its latest Florida announcements suggest the expansion isn’t slowing down.
The grocery chain has become a phenomenon thanks to its rotating seasonal products, private-label favorites, and a shopping experience that feels more like browsing a neighborhood market than navigating a traditional supermarket.
And unlike many grocery chains, Trader Joe’s has mastered the art of turning everyday pantry staples into products with devoted followings. Just ask anyone who has planned an entire grocery trip around the return of a seasonal snack.
For now, Florida shoppers will have to wait for official opening dates in Orlando and Sarasota, while Boynton Beach residents can look forward to welcoming their first Trader Joe’s sometime in 2027.
One thing is certain: Florida will soon have three more places to get its Cookie Butter fix.
