Home Care In West Palm Beach, FL

Home Care West Palm Beach, FL

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting Worth Avenue Clock Tower in West Palm Beach, FL gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. Home care in West Palm Beach, FL is a safe, effective way to give your loved ones the care they need when they need it the most.

The Always Best Care Difference

Since 1996, Always Best Care has provided non-medical in-home care for seniors to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle as they get older. We are proud to have helped more than 25,000 seniors maintain higher levels of dignity and respect. We focus on providing seniors with the highest level of in-home care available so that they may live happily and independently.

Unlike some senior care companies, we genuinely want to be included in our clients' lives. We believe that personalized care is always the better option over a "one size fits all" approach. To make sure our senior clients receive the best care possible, we pair them with compassionate caregivers who understand their unique needs. That way, they may provide care accordingly without compromising their wellbeing.

The Always Best Care difference lies in life's little moments - where compassionate care and trustworthy experience come together to help seniors live a fruitful, healthy life. Whether you are an aging adult that can't quite keep up with life's daily tasks or the child of a senior who needs regular in-home services, Always Best Care is here to help.

TESTIMONIALS

“I have worked with, and explored working with, various agencies and registries in the Palm Beach County area. I am picky. Always Best Care is qualitatively a notch above every other organization I’ve encountered. Responsive. Amiable. Professional. The aide, Islande, who has worked with my mom is top-notch for our needs. And... I have no doubt Steve (the agency’s owner) and his staff would strive to find someone else, if it hadn’t been a fit. If you are looking for Nursing Care, I strongly recommend giving Always Best Care a chance. BTW: It is important to understand that working with an Nursing Agency (like Always Best Care), means the staff are employees, not independent contractors (as they are when working through a Nursing Registry). An Agency is vested in having good employees, and a good agency wants you to be happy. But even all Agencies are not created equal. I worked with one (Alternative Health Care) where aides did not always show up! That was painful and incredibly stressful, and the manager and other higher-up staff didn’t give a hoot.”

“We have been using Always Best Care for my mom for two years now and I am hear to say that they are the best we have been with. The Caregivers go above and beyond what we expect and treat my with nothing but love. Fran and Steve and Claudia are with us 24/7 everyday. It has been a real rollercoaster with my mom’s issues, but they are definitely our rock of support. Michelle, who is mom’s full time daytime caregiver has been with her since we started and she is like part of the family. She calls and checks on her off hours because she cares and there is no price you can put on that. If you do not try this agency, you are missing out.”

“I am a current client of this provider lways Best Care helped our family secure free in-home care services through Veterans Affairs. VA Community Care benefits were completely unknown to us when we were looking for affordable care for mom and dad. Always Best Care helped us navigate through obtaining the caregiver benefits. Mom received free respite care to help give her a break from caregiver duties while caring for Dad. Their caregivers were kind and reliable, making our experience wonderful. Highly recommended.”

“Steve and Claudia at Always Best Care Senior Services were just awesome in how they provided at home care for my mother Carmen. Starting with the initial consultation by Steve to learn about mom's personal care needs to the follow-up visit of a registered nurse to the eventual placement of a compassionate caregiver; every step of their service was well thought out and they truly delivered on providing a level of care for mom that exceeded our families (and mom's) expectations. I only hope I can continue to work together with him - Steve and his team are dedicated to making sure you are comfortable, happy and safe. TESTIMONIALS

“I have been utilizing Always Best Care Senior Services for 2 years to care 24/7 for my elderly parents. I am very pleased with their services. The Owners and Office Staff bend over backwards to make sure that there is always coverage, to alert my parents Caregiver Team of any requests that I make, to advise me when there is an issue with my parents or their dog. The Caregiver Team working with my parents are all compassionate and caring, knowledgeable and skilled. Sadly, my Father passed away in the fall of 2020. Each of their Caregivers, the Owners and the Office Staff expressed to me that they would like to attend his memorial service when we are able to have it. During the weeks he was slipping away, the Caregiver team not only took care of my parents, they looked after me, gently reminding me to eat, rest or take a break. They truly care not only for my parents, but for all our family. I can’t begin to express what a comfort it has been to have them caring for my parents, especially during the pandemic when visits are prohibited. They are my eyes and ears. Working intimately with my parents, the Caregivers are very tuned in to even subtle changes. If you are in the market and looking for a senior services/home health care company, I strongly urge you to reach out to Always Best Care Senior Services. You’ll be happy you did.”

“Always Best Care has been wonderful in many ways. Steve Snell, Owner and Area Representative, and Beverly Casper, RN were patient, kind and respectful while my Dad came to terms with the idea that he really did need help. They were flexible and open and that made all the difference. My Dad's aide Fabienne is responsible and caring and now more of a companion than aide. Steve and his scheduling team has been proactive about any changes that needed to occur and very good about communicating with me both by phone and email. Having them on board has lessened the worry I feel on a daily basis. My mother had a prolonged illness and through the years we dealt with many health care agencies. The attention and care we have received from Always Best Care is, by far, the best we ever have experienced and we are very grateful to have found them.”

The aids have been great for both of my parents. They have formed great relationships with Carol and Fred and now as of recently AnnMarie. The aids help getting groceries and picking up medication and also clean up around the house. They feel very cared for and have really turned the corner in feeling happier and well cared for. We are extremely grateful to Steve and his team at Always Best for working with us and ensuring my parents safety and well being! It's a great agency and all the workers who are part of this business!!”

What is Non-Medical Senior Care in West Palm Beach, FL?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Table 26 Palm Beach or visit Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in West Palm Beach, FL, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

Elderly Care West Palm Beach, FL

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your FL's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.
Senior Care West Palm Beach, FL

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

Our senior caregivers in West Palm Beach, FL understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Over the years, Air Force One and #TrumpForceOne have been spotted in West Palm Beach, Florida, where spectators can watch landings and take a selfie.

President Donald Trump is coming home — and so is Air Force One.

After months away from Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump returns there for an elite fundraiser — the same weekend as nationwide “No Kings” protests are scheduled, including some down the road from his private club.

According to a notice from the Federal Aviation Administration and reporting by the Palm Beach Daily News, a USA TODAY Network newspaper, Trump will be in Palm Beach from Friday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 19, courtesy of the world’s most famous plane, Air Force One.

Trump will arrive at Palm Beach International Airport after 4:15 p.m. Oct. 17, then leave before 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19, according to the temporary flight restrictions issued by the FAA.

His trip to Mar-a-Lago, dubbed the “Southern White House” or “Winter White House” during his first administration due to the amount of time he spent here, will be his 11th since taking office on Inauguration Day or Jan. 20, 2025. This weekend would also mark his 12th visit home to Florida since he regained control of the White House.

Air Force One frequently makes stops in West Palm Beach, with the presidential airplane drawing attention from locals and visitors. Whether Trump's plane is landing or taking off, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse and even snap a photo.

Spectators can capture images of Air Force One from a grassy lot near Atlantic Aviation. Here's everything you need to know about Air Force One and how to see it up close in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Is a new Air Force One being built?

The Air Force is set to receive entirely new Air Force One aircraft, replacing the current fleet with advanced, state-of-the-art planes, according to the Air Force. It will feature enhanced communications and security systems, designed to provide the president and staff with the same capabilities as the White House.

Where does Air Force One land in West Palm Beach, Florida?

When Trump travels as president, Air Force One lands at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI is the official airport code, but it’s also referred to as PBIA locally) before being moved to Atlantic Aviation on Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Can you watch Air Force One land or take off in Palm Beach County, Florida?

When Air Force One arrives at PBIA, only invited guests are allowed on the tarmac, where the president may wave and occasionally sign autographs. However, spectators can find spots near Palm Beach International Airport to watch the aircraft land or take off.

Where can you take a picture of Air Force One or Trump Force One? What #TrumpForceOne means

There is a grassy lot in front of the Atlantic Aviation building where people often gather to take photos and videos of the planes. Many have parked there to capture images of #TrumpForceOne, which, as of Oct. 16, 2025, has over 5,000 posts on Instagram.

How many Air Force One planes are there?

While there is one primary Air Force One jet used for the president, there is also a backup aircraft, called Air Force Two when the vice president is on board. Both jets are modified Boeing 747s and are kept ready to ensure continuity in case of emergency.

What makes Air Force 1 special?

Air Force One is a highly secure, mobile command center for the U.S. President, equipped with advanced communication systems, medical facilities, and defensive technology, according to the Air Force. Trump has an office on board as well as an area to conduct press statements.

Is Air Force One escorted by fighter jets?

The aircraft is often accompanied by fighter jets, such as F-16s or F-22 Raptors, for additional protection.

These jets are deployed to ensure the safety of the president, intercepting any potential threats. Air Force One’s combination of advanced technology and military support makes it one of the most secure aircraft in the world, capable of keeping the President operational even in emergencies.

A developer wants to proceed with a multi-family housing development under the Live Local Act in West Palm Beach.

The project calls for an eight-story building with 167 units, 40 percent of which (about 67) would be designated as workforce housing. Palm Beach County defines workforce housing as housing available to households earning 60 to 110 percent of the area median income (AMI). As of 2024, Palm Beach County’s median income was $104,000.

The community would be called “Deco Northwood,” and it would require close to 135,000 square feet of new construction, 5,288 of which would include ground-floor co-working space. The eight-story project has been met with some opposition since its initial proposal. Nearby residents are concerned about the residence-to-parking-spot ratio (with 135 spots for 167 units) and the building’s height. The zone currently only allows for a building of five stories.

Deco Northwood gets its name from its architectural style: art deco. The Prime Company is the developer; it’s working with in-house Prime Design on the style and architectural renderings.

It’s poised for the narrow 0.72-acre site at 2900 Broadway, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33404, in Palm Beach County. It’s intended to help reinvigorate the greater Broadway neighborhood.

Rosso Development, Midtown Development, and Proper Hospitality have revealed the first look at the interior public spaces of Midtown Park Residences by Proper, designed by acclaimed New York–based firm Meyer Davis Studio.

Set within the transformative $2 billion Midtown Park master plan, the 28-story Proper-branded tower marks the first residential component to rise within the mixed-use development. The building will feature 288 residences surrounded by activated parks, curated retail, dining, cafes, and an ULTRA racquet and padel club.

Meyer Davis’ design captures Proper Hospitality’s signature aesthetic – sophisticated, layered, and deeply rooted in a sense of place. “We envisioned a dynamic connection between the city and home to create a thoughtful living experience throughout the communal areas that reflects the area’s energy and character,” said Will Meyer, co-founder of Meyer Davis Studio. “The result is a timeless environment that feels both purposeful and inviting, where every space reflects a careful balance of comfort, functionality, and a true sense of place.”

The interiors draw inspiration from Miami’s natural light and tropical landscape, emphasizing a fluid transition between lively social spaces and serene retreats. The design incorporates natural stone, warm wood, plaster finishes, and lush greenery, complemented by sculptural furnishings and artful details that express Proper’s distinctive sense of individuality. Communal areas—including the double-height lobby gallery, resident lounges, and spa—were conceived with hospitality-driven fluidity and warmth.

“Midtown Park Residences by Proper is about creating a lifestyle and sense of community that extends beyond the walls of each home,” said Carlos Rosso, founder and CEO of Rosso Development. “Every space has been designed to inspire connection, wellness, and a true enjoyment of Miami living, with elevated design that reflects a meticulous attention to detail in every corner of the project.”

Residents will enter through a dramatic 16-foot-high lobby gallery bridging the energy of Midtown’s streetscape with a refined interior experience. The lobby features travertine and flagstone floors, mirrored bronze columns, and curated museum-quality art. Custom seating, plush velvet and mohair lounge chairs, and green mosaic planters create a tactile environment that merges art, culture, and design.

Amenities span 40,000 square feet and include a tropical pool deck with a signature restaurant and bar overlooking panoramic skyline and water views. Wellness features comprise a fitness center, Pilates studio, yoga and meditation garden, two pickleball courts, and a spa pool. Social spaces include a gourmet coffee bar, events lounge, private party room, kids club, virtual golf simulator, screening room, co-working space, and a vegetable garden designed by Naturalficial.

Located at 3055 North Miami Avenue, the tower is positioned between the Miami Design District and Wynwood, placing residents at the center of one of the city’s most connected neighborhoods. Fortune Development Sales is handling exclusive sales for the project.

The first cool front of the season is teasing an appearance, a sweep of dry tonic to tame South Florida’s steaming air and bring a breeze of fall to the tropics.

A weather pattern complicated by the unease of change as summer gives way to autumn is moving toward the Eastern Seaboard in the coming days, leading to a potential nor’easter and “what we would call the first hint of fall season weather” for the toe of Florida’s Peninsula, according to the National Weather Service.

For the weekend beginning Oct. 11, South Florida could experience low temperatures in the upper 60s over inland areas of Palm Beach County with low 70s forecast at the ocean-warmed coast. Daytime highs are expected to peak in the low to mid-80s, a small relief from temperatures reaching closer to 90 degrees most days this month.

Chris Fisher, a lead forecaster at the Miami office of the NWS, tried to temper enthusiasm over the first fall front with a prediction that what’s coming won’t be an iguana-paralyzing cold, which are more common in deeper winter months of December and January.

Still, the Weather Prediction Center shows a front trailing an area of low pressure expected to form off the Carolinas will clear South Florida and push into the Florida Straits by Oct. 13.

“We are finally going to get a front coming down here this weekend, although it’s not going to be a significant cool-down by any stretch of the imagination,” Fisher said. “There will be lower rain chances and lower humidity.”

Climate change triggers new heat warning chart that alerts when it could be deadly outside

The drier air follows a stretch of soggy days in South Florida that were exacerbated by hurricanes Imelda and Humberto and a more recent swirl of low pressure over the northern Bahamas that never gained enough moxie to earn either a designation or name from the National Hurricane Center.

Showers have been measured at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach all but three days since Sept. 1, leaving September with a total of 9.93 inches of rain. That’s about 1.66 inches above normal for the month.

Fort Lauderdale recorded 18.3 inches of rain in September, which is 10 inches above normal and ranked the month the second wettest on record for the area. Miami was also wetter than normal with 16.9 inches of rain, which is 6.4 inches higher than normal.

The wet season officially runs May15 through Oct. 15 for the seven counties overseen by the Miami NWS office. Those include Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, Collier, Palm Beach, Glades and Hendry.

That means South Florida is approaching the climatological start of the dry season, but when the spigot actually turns off is more variable.

Timing the seasonal dry-out depends on the number and strength of cold fronts that begin pushing south in October juiced by the winterized jet stream.

The plunging river of air is also helpful in pushing away budding tropical cyclones in the Atlantic, such as the simmering Invest 95L, which became Tropical Storm Jerry on Oct. 7. Jerry, the 10th name of the 2025 hurricane season, was located about 1,315 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. It is forecast to recurve north out to sea with no direct concerns to the United States.

“That’ll be the case by the end of the week, with the first major fall front plunging into the southeast U.S.,” said Michael Lowry, a hurricane expert and meteorologist with South Florida ABC-TV affiliate WPLG-Channel 10. “Forecast models are even advertising the possibility (the front) clears us here in South Florida by late weekend, which would be an earlier-than-average first frontal passage.”

It's typically not until early November when overnight low temperatures in South Florida dip into the upper 60s. And the area must wait until the middle to latter part of November before daytime high temperatures peak in the upper 70s.

Rain, dew point temperatures and daily minimum temperatures all play roles in determining when summer officially ends, according to a National Weather Service study that analyzed 41 years of monthly climatological reports from Miami International Airport to understand better the seasonal shift in South Florida.

The study found the earliest end to summer — and beginning of autumn — was Sept. 24. The latest summertime end was Nov. 1. The median date was Oct. 17.

Those are the Florida cities that typically steal the spotlight. But it’s time to make room for West Palm Beach. With its first true resort now open, this laid-back yet thriving city is stepping into the limelight — offering top dining splashed with plenty of things to do.

And if you’re craving a beach day or a little luxe retail therapy, the posh island of Palm Beach is just a short bridge away.

WHERE TO STAY IN WEST PALM BEACH

New to West Palm, The Belgrove Resort & Spa, West Palm Beach, Autograph Collection, feels like a hidden oasis — tucked away in a quiet residential pocket that might make you wonder where you’ve ended up. (Don’t worry, it’s still about 10-minutes from Downtown West Palm.) Its secluded location works in guests’ favor, as it offers peace and quiet and gorgeous natural surroundings that lull you into vacation mode. The property sits along Lake Mangonia and is dotted with swaying palm trees, lush plantings, and plenty of nooks for relaxation.

Guests are treated to oversized rooms and suites with huge balconies — another ideal spot to kick back for some sunbathing or reading — and you’ll want to reserve a room that overlooks the resort’s centerpiece poolscape. The pool is where you’ll spend much of your time, and there’s a vibe for every vacationer: a zero-entry family pool, an adults-only pool, and, if you book a spa treatment, access to the spa’s saltwater pool for some serious Zen. We camped out in a private cabana at the adults-only pool, which was tricked out with comfy couches and a TV, and sipped on a spicy avocado cocktail from the Deep End poolside bar.

While lounging poolside is tempting, you can also zip off on bikes (free for resort guests for two hours), including tandems and adorable canopied Surrey bikes for families. There’s also pickleball and tennis, and if you’re a golf fanatic, resort guests have access to play the exclusive members-only Dutchman’s Pipe — a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

When you don’t want to leave the property, Society 48 serves breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner. I started my days with a healthy green juice or smoothie, and for dinner, we enjoyed housemade pastas, fish and chips and crispy-skin salmon. The restaurant focuses on using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. One night we chilled in the room and devoured a perfectly blistered wood-fired pizza – the pizzas range from a truffle and mushroom to a meat-heavy pie with sweet piquante peppers.

WHERE TO EAT IN WEST PALM BEACH

West Palm Beach has recently gained MICHELIN recognition, including Moody Tongue Sushi West Palm Beach, tucked inside the Hilton West Palm Beach. The newcomer was recognized in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide for The Palm Beaches, and the Chicago location is the only brewery in the world to hold a MICHELIN Star.

You’ll be escorted through a discreet door into a dark and moody dining den to gather around a 14-seat communal table, where the chefs will lead you through a multi-course omakase experience, torching, rolling and dashing bites with surprising toppings. What makes this unique: the fish is flown in twice a week from Japan, and you can choose a curated beer pairing.

These are not your average beers: Some mimic the taste and look of champagne or wine and are served in fancy glassware. As someone who doesn’t like or drink beer, this experience blew my mind, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the flavors like a carbonated Asian pear saison or an orange blossom Belgian blonde that felt oh-so-Florida. While the menu evolves with the seasons, expect elevated bites like a wagyu handroll with wasabi horseradish cream or a tea-brined Ora king salmon dashed with Florida orange zest. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday, and requires a reservation.

For al fresco waterfront dining, Lamarina is the kind of place that you come for lunch to leisurely sip on copious glasses of rosé, while gawking at mega-yachts docked at the fronting marina.

Start with the crispy artichokes in a green goddess vinaigrette, a pile of naughty truffle fries, and don’t miss the crispy swordfish sandwich on a brioche bun topped with a citrus remoulade and pickles (one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had), and any of the fresh seafood. When I say “fresh,” I mean it — the day I had lunch there, they wheeled in a hulking tuna fresh off a boat, which was turned into sushi that night. For dinner, sushi is the main event along with seafood-centric dishes.

WHAT TO DO IN WEST PALM BEACH

For an authentic taste of the food scene in West Palm Beach, sprinkled with some juicy history, Kristl Story has been leading West Palm Beach Food Tours since 2015. Choose from tours that roam through downtown or historic neighborhoods, and popular family-friendly tours like the Mornings in the Market Food Tour.

This is your chance to taste your way through the West Palm Beach Greenmarket — skipping the lines to meet the makers. The popular Saturday farmers’ market that runs from October to May is worth spending a morning perusing the 100-plus vendors on your own, too. (Also, pop in Ganache Bakery Café for one of Jamal Lake’s scratch-made desserts such as a Key lime tartlet or one of the mini rum cakes.)

Looking for something uniquely Florida? When the temperatures drop in winter, gangs of potato-shaped manatees huddle up in Manatee Lagoon, relishing in the warm waters courtesy of the neighboring power plant. It’s free to visit, and families love bringing their kids to see the sea cows romping through the clear blue water.

Another family-friendly spot is the new Pop Stroke West Palm Beach, a mini-golf experience with two 18-hole putting courses, a playground for the kids to run wild, and a sports bar where adults can down a beer or cocktail when they need a refresh.

Culture is also big in West Palm Beach, and the Norton Museum of Art is worth exploring for its expansive permanent collection, outdoor sculpture garden, and monthly events such as Art After Dark on Friday nights.

WHERE TO SHOP IN WEST PALM BEACH

My personal favorite thing to do in West Palm Beach is make a crawl down West Palm Beach Antique Row. Even if it’s not in your budget, it’s worth popping in the 40+ stores to chat with the friendly owners about their unique finds. Some of my personal favorites are Patricia’s Gallery, Authentic Provence and Rosa Estate Jewelry (where the owner is always entertaining). I always end the hunt with lunch at the eclectically decorated Belle & Maxwell’s Café.

The shopping-dining destination CityPlace in Downtown West Palm is always growing with new shops and boutiques, with mainstream fashion favorites like Alo, Reformation, Anthropologie and Lululemon, and home stores such as Perigold and Crate & Barrel. More than a shopping center, look for regular events like live music under the stars, full moon yoga and creative workshops.

Also in Downtown West Palm, the newly developed Nora District is home to transformed century-old warehouses that have new lives as retail stores, popular fitness havens like solidcore, and places to eat and drink such as Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and locally loved Celis Juice Bar — with much more to come in 2026.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Nearly two weeks after to downtown West Palm Beach, an official announcement was made Tuesday morning that revealed more details on the major economic investment.

ServiceNow, a California-based AI company, will be building a hub focusing on enterprise artificial intelligence at 10 CityPlace, a new development by real estate company Related Ross.

WATCH BELOW: AI company's local expansion lauded as 'major milestone'

Related Ross Chairman Stephen Ross and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were among those in attendance for the event.

"There is no better advocate for the future of West Palm Beach than Stephen Ross," DeSantis said. "(It's a) very exciting day."

West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James was also in attendance, saying the city is no longer a destination, but instead a "movement."

"ServiceNow's decision to invest in West Palm Beach is a major milestone for our city,"James said in a statement.

Bill McDermott, CEO and chairman of ServiceNow, said West Palm Beach's key demographic of people ages 25-29 is growing quickly, making it an attractive option for his company's expansion.

He said ServiceNow's West Palm Beach location will see millions of people coming in for training on artificial intelligence. He also predicted their new office in Palm Beach County will likely be the company's largest in a matter of years.

McDermott described what's currently happening with artificial intelligence as an AI Renaissance, saying enterprise artificial intelligence "isn't like using ChatGPT at home."

"It's training models with data, modifying models, making them work for you," McDermott said.

Ross, who is also the majority owner of the Miami Dolphins, said change is a driving force for his business.

"The world is changing so fast, and people are looking at it in a different way," Ross said.

Both Ross and McDermott commented on the desirable traits Florida has to offer, saying it is one of the best states for business.

"Businesses will only go to places where they can attract the best people," Ross said.

WPTV reporter Victor Jorges asked ServiceNow leadership when they expect to launch this new place and related job applications.

Karen Pavlin, chief workforce innovation officer at ServiceNow, said they plan to launch 850 jobs within the next five years with a projected regional economic impact of more than $1.8 billion.

The company said the West Palm Beach facility is expected to open in 2028.
