As a VA Community Care Network (VACCN) contracted provider, it is our honor and privilege to be able to give back to our Veterans within our community. As a contracted provider we can assist our veterans who need personal care services and help with activities of daily living. We appreciate the many sacrifices veterans have made to protect our country, and we’re committed to providing veterans with uplifting in-home care services that allow them to live independently at home.

Examples of daily activities you may be able to receive help with include:

  • Eating
  • Dressing
  • Bathing
  • Grooming
  • Walking/Ambulation
  • Incontinence/ Toileting
  • Medication reminders
  • Errands & Transportation

You can continue to receive services for as long as you need extra help with your daily activities. Since Homemaker/Home Health Aide services are part of the Standard Medical VA Benefits Package, all enrolled veterans are eligible and meet the clinical need for service.

To find out if you are eligible for the Homemaker and Home Health Aide benefits, call us at 904-701-7660.

How do I decide if a Homemaker and Home Health Aide is right for me?

You can use the document at the link here: Veteran Decision Aid for Care at Home or in the Community to help you figure out what home care services or long-term care services may best meet your needs now or in the future.

Always Best Care of Jacksonville is helping senior Veterans to understand how they can qualify and apply for the VA’s Aid & Attendance Benefit, which pays seniors for the in-home senior care they need to live comfortably and safely. Veterans, their spouses, and surviving spouses of veterans may be eligible for this benefit, which is a tax-free pension benefit that provides financial aid to help offset the cost of long-term, nonmedical in-home care.

Veteran Aid & Attendance Program

There are currently millions of veterans who qualify for the VA Aid & Attendance benefit, but they do not know it or are uncertain how to access it. Veterans who served a minimum of 90 days of active duty, including one day of active duty during a period of war such as World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War, all may qualify for this benefit.

As experts in the senior care industry, Always Best Care of Jacksonville understands the needs of our Veterans. We work seamlessly with the professional assistance organizations to make sure that veterans and their spouses receive the benefits they deserve as quickly as possible. While the assistance organization helps you start your application, Always Best Care of Jacksonville will begin to provide the in-home quality senior care you deserve.

Always Best Care of Jacksonville helps our Veterans to get around and enjoy their senior years safely and healthfully. Personalized daily plans are developed and customized to your unique needs and designed to preserve your independence and freedom, while allowing you to remain in the comfort of your home.
