A handful of new businesses including a new restaurant, an iconic jewelry store and a furniture store will be joining the village center.
NEWTOWN, PA — A handful of new businesses including a new fast casual restaurant, an iconic regional jewelry store and a furniture store have announced plans to open at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center on Eagle Road.
CAVA, a fast casual restaurant chain known for its Mediterranean-inspired customizable bowls, is leasing the former MOD Pizza shop next to Crumbld and across the patio from restaurant rival, Chipotle, which specializes in Mexican-inspired dishes.
When it opens it will be the chain’s first location in Bucks and its 10th in Pennsylvania. Its other locations are in Collegeville, Newtown Square, Glen Mills, Lancaster, Montgomeryville, Plymouth Meeting, Rittenhouse, Ardmore and Temple University.
The new CAVA will have 38 seats inside and 17 seats outside. It will operate two shifts with up to 20 employees per shift.

CAVA is best known for its colorful Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips, spreads and dressings.
A sampling of its menu includes a spicy lamb and avocado bowl, steak and harissa bowl, Greek salad, grain bowls, pita sandwiches, pita chips, humus and desserts.
The chain was launched in 2006 by first generation Greek Americans in Maryland. In 2018, CAVA Group bought the Zoe’s Kitchen chain, becoming the largest Mediterranean restaurant operator in the U.S. with more than 350 locations.
According to its website, CAVA is grounded in the Mediterranean way of life, where food is at the center of culture and connection.
“It’s not only about the food, though. CAVA’s inspiration is rooted in the entire Mediterranean meal experience, notably that feeling-so-cared-for genuine expression of hospitality and warmth. Which is why, at CAVA, generosity is a cornerstone.”

The Lovesac Company, which sells unique, high-quality furniture derived through its proprietary “Designed for Life” platform, is scheduled to open this fall at the Village of Newtown.
The showroom will be located at the former site of the Head Over Heels boutique on the McCaffrey’s side of the shopping center.
At the new Lovesac showroom, shoppers will experience a wide product offering, consisting of the modular couch platform called Sactionals and featuring the innovative reclining seat available as an add-on to Sactionals configurations, premium foam beanbag chairs called Sacs, the versatile viral PillowSac Accent Chair, and more.

According to the company, its customizable products are complemented by AnyTable, a multi-functional storage table for the home. Invisible, immersive surround sound via StealthTech Sound and Charge is offered across nearly all Sactionals configurations, creating an integrated audio entertainment experience without compromising on comfort and style.
“We are excited to bring the cloud-like experience that only Lovesac can provide to Newtown. The local community can look forward to our ‘Designed for Life’ products that are created to adapt to consumers’ evolving needs, reduce the ecological footprint by minimizing waste in landfills, and provide long-term utility and value,” said Shawn Nelson, CEO & Founder of the Connecticut-based company.
Iconic Philadelphia Jeweler To Open
Also joining the lineup at the shopping center will be the iconic Philadelphia jewelry store - Steven Singer Jewelers - which will be opening a new store next to the Capital Grille.
“Get pumped because we are bringing the same exceptional service and stunning jewelry from Philadelphia’s Jewelers Row to our friends in Bucks County,” said the owners.
The owners said this expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter for the store, which they said is looking forward to bringing its expertise and passion to Newtown.
“Just like our iconic Philadelphia location, the Newtown store will feature an on-site jewelry workshop, offering expert diamond settings, sizing, repairs and cleanings. Whether you’re shopping for the perfect engagement ring, a meaningful gift, or simply treating yourself, our new space is designed to showcase all the gorgeous jewelry you’ve come to expect from Steven Singer Jewelers.”
Newly opened at the shopping center are Flourish Cafe and Love & Honey Chicken.
Flourish Cafe, a “European style” restaurant, is located inside the former KO Korean Restaurant next to the Capital Grille.
Flourish has built a five-star reputation for its made from scratch food and baked goods from Eastern Europe including its breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings.
The cafe serves an extensive breakfast menu featuring fresh fruit crepes, potato pancakes, waffles, oatmeal porridge and syrniki (fried Eastern Slavic curd cheese pancakes).
Also new to the shopping center is Love & Honey Fried Chicken. The shop is the first suburban location for the Fishtown-based fried chicken sandwich shop.
The new eatery is predominantly a call in and takeout service although there are a limited amount of indoor seating provided.
Rated as the best fried chicken restaurant in Philadelphia in 2018, the eatery is known for its hand breaded fried chicken sandwiches, its chicken tenders, and house made sauces.
