Locally-owned jewelry store to relocate store after nearly 50 years
After nearly five decades helping customers celebrate engagements, anniversaries or other milestones at their Oxford Valley Road location, Michael's Jewelers is relocating to more spacious digs in Langhorne Square in 2026.
Moving sale features big discounts
For those hoping to get a head start on their holiday shopping Michael’s Jewelers is hosting a store moving liquidation sale at its Fairless Hills open to the public starting Nov. 13. Expect to see jewelry up to 70% off across its extensive inventory. Prices start around $100. “Everything in the store is on sale because it’s much easier to sell off all the inventory rather than move it to the new location,” Kanoff said.
Serving generations of customers
“Closing and relocating this store is bittersweet because we have so many great memories serving customers here,” said Michael Kanoff, a fourth-generation jeweler whose parents Lenny and Karen Kanoff opened the store in 1976.
Kanoff attributes the store’s longevity to how his staff treats customers, quality selection and craftsmanship. They also perform jewelry appraisals, buy gold and diamonds, and repair watches and jewelry. His staff at both stores have played a big part in Michael’s Jewelers enduring success. “I’m fortunate that I’ve got a great staff,” he said.
"We never take our customers for granted," Kanoff said. "And you don't have to buy a warranty program like some of the big box chains. We just take care of it. We stand behind everything we do.”
‘I’m living a dream’
Serving customers runs deep in the Kanoff family. Michael’s great-grandfather emigrated from Russia in 1918 and opened a watch repair shop in Philadelphia. His grandfather and father carried on the tradition, eventually transforming it into a jewelry store his parents Lenny and Karen Kanoff founded in 1976.
“I was two years old when my parents opened this original store,” Kanoff said. “Ever since, I never thought about doing anything else. I couldn’t wait to work in the business.”
Giving back to the community
Over the years, Kanoff has supported numerous local synagogues, nonprofits, and community causes. “I just feel very fortunate that I’ve had a successful career,” he said. “I care about our customers and our community, so this is one way of expressing gratitude for all the support we’ve received over the years.”
