The Souderton-Telford Rotary Club invites community to help mark its 100th anniversary with a festive and free event in Souderton Park
The Souderton-Telford Rotary Club invites the entire community to help mark its 100th anniversary with a festive and free event, a “Party in the Park,” on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Souderton Community Park.
The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. for a free, family-friendly celebration including ice cream, a concert featuring Natural Forces with Josh Washam and opening act the Tyler Hunsberger Band, and ending with a spectacular drone light show over the park. This celebration will highlight both the completion of the park’s major renovations and the club’s century of service to the Indian Valley community.
The “Party in the Park” will serve as a grand thank-you to all who contributed to making the vision a reality, while offering families, neighbors, and visitors a memorable evening of entertainment. “Our Party in the Park not only celebrates the transformation of this amazing community space, but also honors 100 years of Rotary service,” said Sarah Bergin, Club President 2025-26. “It’s our gift back to the community.”
Thanks to this Souderton-Telford Rotary Club-led Centennial Project, the park now features extensive upgrades, including a kitchenette with restrooms, new playground equipment, an outdoor gym, sculpture garden, and more.
This ambitious project began in 2017 under the leadership of previous Club President, Leon Moyer, with groundbreaking in 2019. “People may not remember our Club’s original role in building the bandshell,” said Moyer. “This was the next natural step for us. It’s been terrific working with our project committee of Rotarians, Borough representatives, Concert Sundaes volunteers, and community leaders to transform this place that means so much to our community.”
“Rotary is for anyone who wants to work together to make a difference in our community and across the globe,” added Bergin. We welcome those interested in learning more about us and our projects to visit a meeting.
