Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Marian E. (Love) Taylor.
Gloria enjoyed crafting, crocheting, traveling with her husband, going to the beach, spending time at the Raystown Lake and house and attending Bible study groups. She worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years, with much of her career dedicated to pediatric nursing. Above all, Gloria loved her family deeply and treasured the time she spent hosting family and friends, creating a warm and welcoming place for those she loved.
Surviving Gloria, are her sons John Barnett, Jr. (Christine O’Brien), Mark Barnett, Jamison Barnett (Jen); daughter Shelly Marshall (Scott); grandchildren Justene, Julia, Hunter, Jayda, Graham, Julius, Taylor, Eden, Winnie, and Camryn; great grandchildren Lincoln, Lorenzo, Matteo, and Phoebe; sisters Gladys Sands and Carolynn Urban; and brother George Taylor.

Gloria was a very special person - always happy and laughing. She was my babysitter when I was young and my siblings and I were all in her wedding. After our move to Ga. She always stayed in touch and her 2 youngest were in my wedding. She visited frequently and was always fun to be around. Heaven is a happier place with Gloria there and she is reunited with her husband and parents. We love you and will miss you!

This wonderful lady will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her. I’ll miss our phone calls and lunches where we shared stories of our grandchildren. She was always happy and fun to be around. I was honored to be her lifelong friend and thought we had more time. I’m so very sad. Rest in peace sweet Gloria.??

I have great memories from my childhood of my Gram (Emma Wade) taking me to cugina Emma's house where we would have lunch and then listen to Johnny play the accordion and sing the old Italian songs. He also did a beautiful job leading us in prayer when we said the rosary and honored the Blessed Mother. He's surely in heaven with her now! Sending my love and prayers to the family.

Always remember cousin Johnny as a sweet spirited man with multiple talents. He made Grandpop Pace's eyes water when he played his accordian and sang Italian songs for us all, at Grand Pops house on Sunday afternoons.

John and I met when we were in high school where we both played in the school band. John played trombone and I played trumpet. After school we often walked down Keim St. to Bethlehem Steel and John's dad would drive us home in his Rambler auto or we took the bus home from High and Keim Sts.We took trips to train and auto museums and enjoyed lunch afterward. In more recent years a trip to Jim Thorpe to ride the train there. John had been a great help to me during the last 10 years at times when I was unable to drive due to having had surgery. He was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed.
