Lakeway: Support local businesses
The city of Lakeway is encouraging residents to support local businesses and shop online this holiday season, especially on Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30. The "Loyal to Lakeway" initiative is a reminder of the significant benefits that shopping locally or online brings to the community, enhancing economic resilience, fostering local connections and generating essential revenue for city services.
"Shopping locally does more than provide convenience; it directly contributes to the quality of life in Lakeway," said Mayor Tom Kilgore. "When residents choose to buy local, they’re helping boost sales tax revenues, which helps offset property taxes and fund critical infrastructure, all while building a vibrant, close-knit community."
