Robert "Ken" Startt Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, in Bel Air, Maryland, at the age of 82 years. Born on August 24, 1942, in Easton, Maryland, to Robert Startt and Anne Saathoff. He was the beloved husband to Rosemary, married on April 29, 1972
Ken graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s College. He served his country with pride in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 thru 1966. He supported his family through a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, primarily with Waverly Press in Baltimore. For his career, Ken was a global traveler which fed his interests in transportation, airports, and maps. Ken was a devout Catholic, never missing Sunday mass at St. Ursula Church in Parkville.
Ken found joy in the youthful energy of his grandchildren. He was a passionate sports fan, rooting for the Baltimore Colts and then the Baltimore Ravens, as well as the Orioles, University of Maryland basketball, Johns Hopkins lacrosse, Baltimore Blast, and Baltimore Skipjacks. His love for sports led to him coaching youth soccer and basketball. He ran the clinic program for St. Ursula soccer. A dedicated runner in his younger years, Ken completed numerous 5K and 10K races. Ken's leisure time was often spent reading, golfing, vacationing in Aruba, and enjoying country music.
