“Thankfully, Stephen Carlson’s name was given to me by the SNF where my aunt was sent after her hospitalization. Her insurance company cut her SNF stay short and she needed urgent AL placement. I am her closest living relative, live in a different state, and, being a physician with a mother in memory care, I am quite familiar with the medical, social, and logistical issues related to transitioning into an AL facility. But, despite having gone through it locally with my mother, I found it much different with my aunt since I was not familiar with the area (Greensboro, NC) and the AL options. After a telephone conversation with Stephen to discuss my aunt’s situation and upcoming needs, he set up AL facility tours at quality places with immediate openings and provided me with a moving company that specializes in moving seniors (usually with little forewarning and small amounts of items since you can’t fit much into an AL unit). Stephen attended the tours with us and was easily accessible and responsive throughout the process. As a bonus to me and my aunt, he receives a referral fee from the AL facilities, so his services cost us nothing out of pocket. If anyone in the Greensboro, NC area needs help with AL placement, it just makes sense to give Stephen a call and get his insight and assistance.”

Our first phone conversation he said “you are going to have to trust me.” And I’m so glad I did. He told me that the place he thought best for my mom was maybe might not the most convenient but he knew how caring and loving the environment would be. I’d much rather be inconvenienced than have my mom treated poorly. So I trusted him and we are forever grateful!
