A hybrid public information meeting will be held regarding the replacement of multiple bridges in Wallingford, according to the state DOT.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will conduct a hybrid public information meeting regarding the replacement of multiple bridges carrying state and local roads in Wallingford.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Wallingford Town Hall at 45 South Main St.
The meeting will also take place on Zoom, and registration is required to attend virtually, according to a news release from the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The three bridge structures include Bridge No. 03129 carrying East Center Street (State Road 738), Bridge No. 03130 carrying New Rock Hill Road, and Bridge No. 03131 carrying Durham Road over Interstate-91.
The hybrid public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.

“These bridge replacements will improve safety for all roadway users and extend the lifespans of the bridges using streamlined design-build to complete,” Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Richard Prescott said. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are expected to be minor.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2028, depending on availability of funding, acquisition of right-of-way, and approval of permits. The current estimated construction cost is between $60-$90 million, with 80 percent federal funds and 20 percent state funds.
