Jacob Savage of Union, Ky. will head to Michigan State this upcoming weekend for an unofficial visit. Savage posted about the upcoming visit to East Lansing, Mich. on his social media X account earlier this week.
Savage is a three-star linebacker prospect in the 2026 class. He currently holds a rating of 87 on 247Sports.
Savage ranks as the No. 56 linebacker in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 5 player from Kentucky in the class and No. 627 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State is one of nearly 15 programs to offer Savage, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Indiana, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Northwestern, Minnesota, Toledo, Ohio, Miami (OH), Eastern Kentucky, Dartmouth, Penn, Charlotte and Akron.
According to 247Sports, Savage has official visits lined up with Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue for May and June. He will be taking his official visit to Michigan State on May 30.

Ky Bush was selected by the Angels with the 45th pick in the 2021, and came to the White Sox in July 2023 as a part of the trade that sent Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo López to the Angels at the trade deadline. Bush earned the invite to 2024 Spring Training, but ended up being assigned to the Double-A Birmingham Barons.
Bush played the majority of the season with the Barons, and in 14 starts and 80 2⁄3 innings, he was one of the top pitchers in Birmingham’s stacked rotation, with a 2.12 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. Ky also finished with a a highly respectable 3.57 FIP, and was fifth of all Barons pitchers in strikeouts with 78. Bush was hot out of the gate in April, making four starts and giving up just three runs, for a 1.27 ERA. He kept rolling right through May and June, roughly averaging a 2.40 ERA — even posting a 0.83 WHIP in June.
Bush’s consistent strong performance as a starter got him promoted to the Triple-A Charlotte Knights in July, but he didn’t see the same success as he did in Birmingham. In his first appearance (out of the bullpen, as a “co-starter”), Bush gave up three runs on six hits, including a home run. He left with an 8.10 ERA after that game, and while he did moderately improve throughout his six outings Bush ended up with a 7.01 ERA in 25 2⁄3 innings with the Knights.
Bush was promoted to the Chicago White Sox on August 5, then went back to Charlotte at the end of the month, and subsequently BACK up to the big leagues in mid-September ... only to be put on the IL to finish out the season. In four starts (17 innings) with the White Sox, Bush struggled to acclimate to MLB hitters, and ended up with a 5.60 ERA and a 6.28 FIP. He gave up two homers in 20 hits, and struck out 11 batters.
As it turns out, ending the season on the IL was a harbinger of very bad things for Bush, as he has succumbed to TJS and will sit out the entire 2025 season.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Sunday was a busy day for many along the Ohio River in Prospect as they used the day to clean out their properties following the heavy rain and flooding from last week.
“On the river, it’s going to flood,” Charlie Hall, the president of Limestone Bay Yacht Club, pointed out. “It’s not a matter of will it flood, it’s when will it flood.”
The sounds of generators and driers filled up the room at the Limestone Bay Yacht Club. That room, which is usually filled with tables, chairs and people, sat empty Sunday afternoon.
“We’ve had a dozen people here in the marina today cleaning out the restaurant, getting the mud out,” Hall mentioned. “We’ve had a street sweeper here for the last three days sweeping out the parking lot. If you don’t get the mud out when it’s still fairly wet, then it becomes concrete, so there’s a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes.”
Hall said it’s hard to prepare for flooding, which is something that proved to be especially true this time around.
“This year was a little different because of the ice, the cold weather,” he mentioned. “We flood but we don’t normally have weather below 10 degrees at the same time, so that was an unknown for all of us.”
While he is grateful there wasn’t any substantial damage, Hall told WAVE News the impact from having to close for an entire week is devastating. This is only emphasized by the fact they are a members-only club.
“It’s difficult because we use the revenue from the club to pay for the cleanup and the ongoing concerns of the club itself, so we’re missing that revenue,” he explained. “So you’ve got folks that work in the club that are not able to come down and work and it’s definitely a challenge.”
However, Hall said he’s staying hopeful the club’s loyal customers will help them get back on their feet.
“This club has been here since 1984, so we’re not going to let the flood of 2025 keep us down in any way whatsoever,” he added.

Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier wide receiver/running back Marlon Harbin announced Monday that he has given his verbal pledge to the Cardinals. He chose Louisville over held offers from Kentucky, Miami of Ohio, Toledo and others, but had also drawn interest from Alabama, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, West Virginia and others.
Harbin is the fourth 2026 prospect to commit to Louisville over the last four days. Fellow St. X Tiger linebacker Karsten Busch committed on Friday, while West Boca Raton (Fla.) HS defensive back Jaydin Broadnax and Fort Myers (Fla.) HS offensive tackle Joel Ervin did so on Saturday.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound two-way prospect ranks as high as the No. 1 prospect in Kentucky and the No. 78 wide receiver in the class, according to Rivals. The 247Sports Composite tabs him as the 707th-ranked prospect in the nation.
Harbin has been a dynamic playmaker from the moment he set foot on St. X's campus. This past season, not only did he catch 47 passes for 639 yards and six touchdowns, he also ran the ball 123 times for 704 yards and 12 scores. He also has some experience on defense, logging 10 tackles, two interceptions and a pick-six as a sophomore.
Louisville is now up to a 10-man 2026 recruiting class with Harbin’s commitment, which ranks as the No. 12 class in the nation, per247Sports. Per the 247Sports Composite, two of the top six prospects in Kentucky, as well as four of the top 12, have committed to the Cards.

Bush was selected by the Angels in the second round of the 2021 draft and was traded to the White Sox in 2023 as part of the deal for Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez.
The 25-year-old's minor league performance, however, was much more impressive. In 80.2 innings at Double-A, he posted a strong 2.12 ERA with a 24.6 percent strikeout rate and a 10.1 percent walk rate.
Although he struggled in a small sample at Triple-A and in the majors, his overall 2024 performance was solid. He made his MLB debut for the Sox in 2024 but only started four games, posting a 5.60 ERA over 17.2 innings.
Bush had previously represented the American League in the 2022 Futures Game, highlighting his status as one of the top prospects in baseball.

In 2024, MLB Pipeline ranked him as the No. 11 prospect in the White Sox organization.
Unfortunately, Bush was the pitcher charged with the loss when the White Sox dropped their 21st straight game last year, tying the 1988 Orioles for the longest losing streak in American League history.
It was his first career major league start and he gave up three runs in just four innings. He struggled with his command, issuing five walks and landing just 45 of his 84 pitches for strikes.
"Obviously, not all the stuff was there," said Bush, who walked the bases loaded in the first. "I was spraying it a little bit. I mean, after that first inning, [I] settled in and just figured, 'Just go right at them and compete, really. Just give 'em your best stuff.'"

"Ky got the first one out of the way," former White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said. "I thought, at times, he threw the ball really well, but at the end of the day, we've got to eliminate some of those free passes."
Bush, a Utah native, joined big league spring training as a non-roster invitee, impressing Grifol with both his stuff and composure.
Although Bush won't be able to contribute this season, he will hopefully make a full recovery and return in 2026.
