The new restaurant, The Lighthouse, will be in the food court. It's a Carribean/Jamaican restaurant. Simon Mall says its food is "Made with the taste and influences of the Island culture. Without a doubt you will enjoy the beautifully made Jamaican style taste of our food. Enjoy the spectacular flavors."

It will located near Mochinut, which is a newer donut creation. They're a cross between Japanese Mochi and the American donut. They're so light and delicious. If you've never tried them, you're missing out.

The new retail store is called JD Sports. It's a sportswear, shoes and accessories store. There are other locations in Willow Grove Mall and Freehold Raceway Mall. It will take the place of the Go! Calendar and Games store, which is moving to the 2nd floor of the mall.

You'll appreciate this in these hot, summer months. A new, 21 ton air conditioning unit was recently installed in the main building of the mall.

Oxford Valley Mall has been a popular shopping destination since 1973. It used to be packed with shoppers all the time, but, since online shopping has become more and more popular (especially since the pandemic) foot traffic has trailed off. Hopefully, these improvements, new stores and restaurants will bring people back.

There's nothing like going to the mall. I love the experience. I'm the kind of person that likes to try clothes and shoes on before buying them and browsing at many different stores. Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. Haha.

As acting president of UAW Local 2177, Charmian Hughes-Leslie has been spending her days at the picket lines with her fellow plant employees -- and the occasional U.S. Senator -- making sure there's ice in the cooler and wood for the firepit.

However, the demands of leading a union are far different than those on the factory floor, where Hughes-Leslie's fitness app shows it's not uncommon for her to walk nearly 10 miles per day.

"It's all on concrete," says Hughes-Leslie, alluding to the need for comfortable shoes.

Hughes-Leslie spends those miles pushing a 20-pound cart carrying multiple parcels of auto parts ranging anywhere from 15 to 40 pounds.

"That is part of the criteria of the job," she said. "You're going to be walking, and you're going to be doing physical labor."

According to data on her phone's fitness app, Hughes-Leslie averaged 5.5 miles of walking per day in June. She points out that weekend days bring the overall average down, and the data show that she is commonly in the seven- to nine-mile range on workdays. On June 17, her high mileage day, she hit 9.7 miles.

The numbers have dropped since she's been on the picket line, but Hughes-Leslie says she's no less busy.

"You don't even realize [how much] you're doing here," she said. "You're picking up ice, moving things of soda and water, and you're walking back and forth with the picket signs. We're not just sitting there, right?"

One entrance to the plant where workers are set up is along a busy road. With workers at both picketing sites 24 hours a day, this brings its own challenges in the dark.

"It's dangerous over there. You especially have to be careful at night. You see how crazy it is with people coming in and out, in and out. And then you have drunk drivers that come through up until 2 or 2:30 [in the morning]."

More than 80 UAW members walked off the job in Langhorne on Sept. 20. They are part of the approximately 25,000 union members at GM, Ford, and Chrysler parent Stellantis currently on strike.

At first, I was so confused about how you would be able to buy steak and lobster at the Philly Pretzel Factory, but then the joke made complete sense when I looked a little harder. This was what I saw and I can't lie, I was kind of amazed.

In fact, here's their design of the Philly Fanatic as a pretzel:

They have absolutely NAILED down the art of pretzel sculptures, (if that's an official thing). I have seen so many amazing pretzels come out of the Langhorne location like different fish, a huge Phillie Phanatic, Sharks in celebration of Shark Week this week, and more.

I swear they could start a Netflix show all about this location and the food art that they create and I'd binge the entire thing in one sitting. It's honestly just amazing to me.

The Philly Pretzel Factory takes special orders at all locations, but this location seems to be going above and beyond with the different orders you'll be able to get.

Does anyon know who is designing these in the store? I need to meet them!

It's called the "Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party" and it's happening for two evenings only, October 30th and October 31st. It's a Sesame-themed twist on Trunk-or-Treat.

Make sure you're dressed in your Halloween costume because you'll be a part of the parade this time, if you'd like, instead of just watching it. Everyone will have the chance to show off their costume in the Halloween Showcase that will parade infront of Oscar's Wacky Taxi Stage.

Over ten of your favorite Sesame Street furry friends will be there to celebrate with you. Make sure to grab a picture with them to remember the fun.

There will be music, singing and dancing all evening and I'm sure your children's eyes will be open wide when they see all of the treats, snacks and other goodies.

If you're wondering about the rides, five of them will be open for even more fun.

Dine with Elmo & Friends will be open for a special Meet & Greet with Elmo.
