He's also fighting with referees, whether wrong or right, and getting tossed from games. It's gonna be a long rest of the season. But they beat the hated Boston Celtics, a rare feat and maybe a Christmas miracle.
Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts probably is going to sit Sunday out with a concussion. But here comes backup Kenny Pickett to lead the charge against the Dallas Cowboys. The Birds are a little battered and bruised going into the game against that hated Dallas team. And they're also a little stunned by the Washington Commanders, who snapped the Birds' 10-game winning streak on the last play of the game. This team needs to get healthy before the NFL playoffs and also start a new winning streak.

"A Philly Special Christmas Party" features classic rocker legend Stevie Nicks and brother Travis Kelce too. WARMINSTER / HATBORO, PA —It was called The Battle of Crooked Billet and therefore its historic marker is crooked. But now it is straight for everyone to see.
That marker noting the battle in the Philadelphia campaign of the American Revolutionary War was aging and crumbling and not showcasing the May 1, 1778, fight near the Crooked Billet Tavern, now present-day Hatboro near the Warminster border.
So Hatboro resident Sean Flanagan, a creative director and graphic designer, and Denis Cooke, a Warminster native and Southampton resident, a lawyer, noted historian, and writer., took action.
"It is amazing what some paint and a little TLC can do!" Flanagan told Patch.

"Our goal was to simply recondition the sign to make it visible again and take pride in the rich history our area has to offer," Flanagan said. "We hope both the community and visitors will enjoy it. Additionally, we want to raise awareness of the need to maintain not only the signs but the sites they point to.Ironically, the signpost itself is 'crooked,' likely due to being hit at some point in the past. We are unable to straighten the post ourselves, but we are seeking support from the township to fix and secure the sign properly."
In the skirmish action, British forces under the command of Major John Graves Simcoe launched a surprise attack against Brigadier General John Lacey and three regiments of Pennsylvania militia, who were literally caught sleeping. The British inflicted significant damage, and Lacey and his forces were forced to retreat into Bucks County.
Flanagan said it was important to get the marker fixed with the nation celebrating its 250th anniversary of the founding of the country.
"Much of that history began right here, but it has long been forgotten," he said. Flanagan and his wife Michelle and Cooke are involved in the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment re-enactment group..
The historical marker commemorating the Battle of Crooked Billet, located at the crowded intersection of County Line and Jacksonville roads, is one such forgotten artifact.
It is one of two signs pointing to a monument dedicated to the Battle, which took place around this location on May 1, 1778.
The second (smaller) sign and stone monument are located nearby at 179 Jacksonville Road in Warminster.
The sign was made and placed as part of the Bucks County Historical-Tourist Commission's Highways of History program, designed to highlight and guide visitors traveling through the county to various historical sites Bucks County has to offer, Flanagan said.
Flanagan said he was able to find a book titled Episodes in Bucks County History: A Bicentennial Tribute 1776-1976 (Highways of History), published in 1975 by the commission and authored by George F. Lebegern, Jr.
"It seems the Historical-Tourist Commission was dissolved and the historic markers they put up were all forgotten," Flanagan said. "They have become weathered and worn over time due to a lack of maintenace. I drive by this sign daily and have always hoped that someone would care enough to do something about it. We do care about it and made it happen."

The tradition of New Year’s resolutions dates back 8,000 years to ancient Babylonians, who made promises to return borrowed items and repay debts at the beginning of the new year, which was in mid-March when they planted their crops.
According to legend, if people kept their word, the pagan gods would grant them favor in the coming year. However, if they broke their promises, they would lose favor with the gods.
Many secular New Year’s resolutions focus on imagining new, improved versions of ourselves.
The failure rate of New Year’s resolutions is about 80 percent, according to U.S. News & World Report. There are many reasons, but a big one is they’re made out of remorse — for gaining weight, for example — and aren’t accompanied by a shift in attitude or a plan for coping with the stress and discomfort that comes with changing a habit or condition.

IVYLAND BOROUGH, PA —It's a standing joke, Mayor Anthony Judice says.
But it's a joke that has made every borough resident happy over the past 15 years, the last time there was a municipal tax increase.
The mayor said that municipal taxes won't be raised in the 2025 municipal budget, recently approved by the Ivyland Borough Council.
The millage will remain at 13.50: 11.25 is for the real estate tax and 2.25 is for the fire tax.
The borough's last tax increase was in 2010," the mayor said.
"As a small borough, we do not have the level of expenses that our large neighboring townships have but we still have to come to grips with the rising costs of all services. These impact Ivyland also," Judice said.
So how has Ivyland managed to maintain its tax base as it is for so long?
There are many reasons, the mayor said.
"We, as a borough, are very fiscally frugal," Judice said. "The two people who are on the finance committee do a tremendous job. They keep a close eye on our investments as well as our expenses."
Janet Pacchioli is the secretary-treasurer, who has managed our finances for many years.
"The standing joke with us is that Janet runs the borough and we just work here," the mayor chuckled.
Councilwoman Christina Finello works with Pacchioli and has done a great job while still serving in the cabinet of Gov. Josh Shapiro, the mayor said.
He said that Finello aggressively pursued grant opportunities, one of which aided in funding two major projects: the demolition of the former U.S. Navy housing on Jacksonville Road and another, which allowed the borough to begin a major stormwater improvement project.
"Their stewardship is a major reason that we are fiscally sound," the mayor said.
The mayor said another reason is the "strong sense of community" in Ivyland.
"Countless projects have been accomplished by volunteers. An example is the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Ivyland. It was run entirely by volunteers. Each member of the Borough Council oversees a committee," he said. "There is, for example, a Parks and Rec Committee. This committee organizes and runs all of the yearly events plus oversees our two parks. Our events are also run by volunteers."
