As school begins and vacations come to an end, what's a better way to avoid a rut than by trying a new restaurant?
So whether its a new Brazilian sports bar, an expansion of a MetroWest favorite or a new-ish Indian restaruant on Route 9, there's plenty to try this fall.
What follows are five new options coming to Framingham and beyond:
Blue Square Pizza now open in Northborough
After starting in Hopkinton, this pizzeria's second location opened earlier this summer in Northborough.

BlueSquare Pizza is known for its variety of pizza styles, and it received high ratings from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. The pizzeria uses a sourdough pizza dough to make four types of pizza: Detroit-style pan pizza, Chicago cracker thin crust pizza (Portnoy gave this one an 8.1), New York round pizza and grandma-style pizza. Other menu items include salads, house-made meatballs and chicken wings.
The Northborough location is at 309 Main St. (Route 20).
Cluck & Crispy holds grand opening
After winning approval from the Framingham Board of License Commissioners, Cluck & Crispy Chicken held its grand opening on Aug. 27 at 75 Concord St. (Route 126).
Cluck & Crispy Chicken makes Korean fried chicken, which tends to be smaller than American fried chicken and includes a thin, crunchy outer layer and different seasonings. Its popularity in the U.S. has grown in recent years.
Framingham licensing board approves Cluck & Crispy Chicken to open
This is the third Cluck & Crispy location in Massachusetts; the others are located in Worcester and Fitchburg.
Brio 33 will open in Westborough
Brio 33 is set to take the place of Tavolino, which closed its 33 East Main St. (Route 30) location in Westborough earlier this year.
Italian restaurant announces it's closing in Westborough after 16 years in business
Brio 33 New England Bistro is expected to take its place. The restaurant, which will be run by Tavolino's former executive chef, Kevin Sanders, and general manager, Abigail Winant, is aiming for a September opening, according to The Community Advocate.
Caipy Sports Bar opens in Framingham
Caipy, a new sports bar, opened last month at 672 Waverly St. (Route 135), with a grand opening celebration attended by city officials.
According to its Facebook page, Caipy aims to bring the "best of Brazil" to Framingham. The sports bar offers live music from Brazilian artists, food, pool tables and a hidden lounge in the back.
Woodlands transitions to new Indian restaurant
Woodlands, an Indian restaurant on Route 9 in Westborough, opened a second location in Framingham (also off Route 9) last year. But since then, the Framingham Woodlands has transitioned to Dilli Darbar, operated by the same team. Dilli Darbar still offers Indian cuisine, but has non-vegetarian foods while still retaining vegetarian and vegan menu items.
Dilli Darbar is currently open at 1 Edgell Road. Woodlands' Westborough restaurant remains open.
