Home Care Los Alamitos, CA

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. The Always Best Care Difference

Since 1996, Always Best Care has provided non-medical in-home care for seniors to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle as they get older. We are proud to have helped more than 25,000 seniors maintain higher levels of dignity and respect. We focus on providing seniors with the highest level of in-home care available so that they may live happily and independently.

Unlike some senior care companies, we genuinely want to be included in our clients' lives. We believe that personalized care is always the better option over a "one size fits all" approach. To make sure our senior clients receive the best care possible, we pair them with compassionate caregivers who understand their unique needs. That way, they may provide care accordingly without compromising their wellbeing.

The Always Best Care difference lies in life's little moments - where compassionate care and trustworthy experience come together to help seniors live a fruitful, healthy life. Whether you are an aging adult that can't quite keep up with life's daily tasks or the child of a senior who needs regular in-home services, Always Best Care is here to help.

TESTIMONIALS

“I highly recommend Always Best Care for every aspect from the ones seeking care for a loved one or themselves, all the way to the ones seeking an opportunity to care for a senior. I personally worked for ABC, and throughout my years with them I had the pleasure of interacting with the seniors as well as with the amazing caregivers. From the stories of a much more simpler time in the elders life to the reasons from a caregiver wanting to truly care for the seniors. (Most reasons are personal to them that have impacted their life and heart). This is truly a caring company with exceptional professional staff. It's hard to find a company that demonstrates both of those traits....”

“I cannot say enough good things about Always Best Care in the South Bay. I was lucky to be referred to ABC when my Father suddenly needed in-home care several years ago and I hired ABC again a few months ago when my friend needed in-home care. The learning curve is steep when a family member is no longer independent. Having reliable, caring and professional caregivers is invaluable in getting through these challenges. Hiring the caregivers from ABC allowed me to be the "daughter" again. I absolutely could not have cared for my beloved Father or my dear friend without ABC by my side!”

“Always Best Care agency has been wonderful to work with. The caregivers they have provided to stay with my dear friend, who has dementia, have been outstanding. My husband, an MD, and I, an RN, have rather high standards and have found all of the caregivers to be professional, caring and extremely reliable (24/7 care in this case) They go above and beyond expectations. I have felt safe with the caregivers,as they are also down-to-earth; caring people. Dr. David Hart is the main point person in this family-run agency and he is not only a very caring person, he is extremely intelligent in his communication, yet very down-to earth at the same time. He is responsive to any issues that arise immediately…not only for the client, but also to his caregivers, who he genuinely cares about. That is perhaps why he attracts and retains such stellar employees, We feel very lucky to have found ABC Senior Care services. Ilene Watson, RN and Dr. Walter Watson,MD, Manhattan Beach, CA”

“Carrie, David, and their team are terrific to work with. Carrie has been a lifesaver by helping us to quickly find a wonderful 24/7 board and care facility for our loved one who is suffering from both advanced dementia and a broken, severe arthritic neck. They have provided very capable temporary care givers to us to help with taking our loved one to doctor's appointments and during the time our loved one was being treated in the hospital. David has thoroughly educated us on all aspects of dementia and counseled the family members to help sort out their emotions during these difficult times. We strongly recommend Always Best Care South Bay to anyone needing advise, help, and services to find care facilities, care givers, and/or counseling.”

“From the moment I first spoke to Mark Wecker at Always Best Care, he was kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He made sure to ask all the right questions to help my siblings and me find the perfect place for our father who had very advanced Parkinson's Disease. He took us to places that fit the high quality we were looking for and in our budget range. Mark showed genuine concern for us and my father. And he helped us navigate through a challenging situation. We made a great decision based on his expert advice. Unfortunately, my father passed away before we could bring him to LA. But I will always be grateful for the detailed attention we received from Mark and Always Best Care.”

“My son and I have received family counseling from Dr. Hart for nearly two years. We both suffer from PTSD, among other mental disabilities, and have been seen by a number of therapists over the years. We have found Dr. Hart’s care to be among the most helpful. He is kind, understanding, and patient. Rather than employing long term, traditional psychotherapy or other limited methods exclusively, he uses different approaches to break through a person’s natural resistance. He suggests interpretations of feelings and actions, asks questions that show real insight, and then gives practical and usually appropriate advice that can be accepted or discussed further. He has treated us with respect and even with a non-intrusive, kind of professional affection. We would recommend him to friends and family without hesitation.”

“I'm glad I attended Dr. Hart's caregiver support workshop which focused on Alzheimer's disease. I knew then Always Best Care would be the right agency to handle my Dad's care. From the beginning to the end the staff were professional and courteous. My dad unfortunately decided to end services because of his stubbornness. Mark was understanding and expressed his concern for my Dad's wellbeing. He didn't push for us to continue services. I would work with ABC again if my father agrees to resume services. They definitely have your loved ones best interest in mind.”

“I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. David Hart for your elder-care needs. Dr. Hart is an incredibly knowledgeable and caring person who helped our family beyond measure to provide the best level of care for our mother who has Alzheimer's Disease. We engaged Dr. Hart to 1) conduct his own periodic assessments of our mother; 2) create a forum for our broader family, including our mom, to communicate and ask questions; 3) provide training and resources; and 4) help our family evaluate and implement an interim and long-term care plan for our mother. DR. HART EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS ON EVERY LEVEL. Prior to meeting Dr. Hart we had received a lot of conflicting information and our broader family was experiencing a very high level of stress and frustration. Thankfully, after engaging with Dr. Hart for several months, our family became knowledgeable, we communicated well with each other, and we just implemented a long-term care plan that addresses all of our mom's needs and one that she really enjoys. DR. HART IS THE BEST AND HE TRULY CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND THE FAMILIES HE WORKS WITH. Thank you Dr. Hart for all of you have done for our family. Words cannot express our gratitude.”

“My widowed 80-year-old mother who has Alzheimer's disease has been living alone for 3 years. She has been extremely resistant to having caregivers in her home and my brother and I had all but given up. We have been amazed at the progress we've made since enlisting the help of Dr. David Hart at Always Best Care. In a little over a month, Mom has accepted a caregiver and is considering a move to an assisted living facility. Equally important, the support and assistance we have received in making both large and small decisions has been invaluable and a huge relief. I also highly recommend the Caregiving Essentials class taught by Dr. Hart, which covers everything you need to know in a single 3-1/2 hour "bootcamp" session, including brain science, communication tips, and resources. (GPS shoe insert, who knew?!) The class would benefit anyone who has a friend or family member suffering from dementia.”

“Dr. Hart has been of monumental assistance to our family during a very difficult time. We first learned of Dr. David’s practice when mom was first diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). His support groups for families and patients offered comfort and practical advice from others going through the same experience. He provided essential information—facts about dementia and lifestyle changes to slow the process—based on the latest research findings, sparing us the time and frustration of navigating the web and sorting facts from myths. But most important to me has been the emotional support Dr. David has personally provided to my sister and I, and the trusting relationship he established with mom. His professional empathy and experience with human behavior as well as his expertise in the field of geriatrics and cognition combine to provide an array of servicesthat will truly make the difference toward a successful transition for elders and their families. What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Los Alamitos, CA?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Los Alamitos, CA, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

 Elderly Care Los Alamitos, CA

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your CA's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.
 Senior Care Los Alamitos, CA

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Los Alamitos, CA understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Respite Care Los Alamitos, CA

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Los Alamitos, CA

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Home Care Los Alamitos, CA

For many seniors, moving into a senior living community revolves around how and when they want to make a transition to more involved care. Some seniors are more proactive about transitioning to independent living. Others choose to remain home until their care needs or other requirements are satisfied. Remember - our staff is here to help. Contact our office today to learn more about assisted living communities and how we can find a facility that exceeds your expectations.

 In-Home Care Los Alamitos, CA

Taking the First Step with Always Best Care

California high school football top 25 rankings

The Monarchs' win at Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas was among their most bizarre in recent memory. Mater Dei won the second quarter 26-0 and the game 26-23. Not ideal, but enough to retain the undisputed No. 1 ranking in the state and country.

Have out-of-state teams not learned their lesson about poking the bear? After Florida fans spent weeks on social media questioning St. John Bosco's ability to play in the humidity – just like many of other South/East Coast opponents in recent years – the Braves beat Manatee 31-0 by halftime when the game was called due to thunderstorms. Expect a similar result next week against Eastwood (TX).

One of the first statement wins of the near belongs to Cen10, which routed Servite 42-14 in a game it led 35-0 at halftime. Its mostly new skill position core of QB Dominick Catalano, RB Malaki Davis, WR Ty Plinski, and TE Keawe Browne balled out, as did its defense. Plinski's touchdown catch was the No. 1 play of the day and No. 2 play of the week on SportsCenter. Next week brings another Trinity League test against Santa Margarita.

Backing up the high ranking so far, OLu toughed out a 17-15 win against nationally-ranked Florida foe Miami Northwestern. Its non-league slate doesn't get much easier from here: Rancho Cucamonga, Basha, Serra (Gardena), and Sierra Canyon.

Mission Viejo has already turned in one of the defensive gems of the year to beat Santa Margarita 7-3. Luke Fahey was, while not prolific, surgical under center, completing 15 of 20 passes for 179 yards, a touchdown, and no turnovers. Santa Margarita transfer Jack Junker caught the only touchdown of the game, a difficult 33-yard dime from Fahey.

Talk about starting with a bang. After JSerra has spoiled some of Sierra Canyon's season-openers in recent years, the Trailblazers built on last year's 35-7 thumping with a 35-0 blowout. Look for them to do the same at Oaks Christian on Friday, but it could be a trap game if they don't bring another strong effort.

While Mission Viejo's amazing defense was the No. 1 story in Santa Margarita's 7-3 loss, Santa Margarita's amazing defense was right behind it, quieting one of the nation's steadiest passing games. Carson Palmer has to wait at least one more week to get his first win as head coach, but with Corona Centennial on deck, it might take another week after that.

Unfortunately, no one will ever get to see 2024 Folsom and 2024 Grant go against each other, but Folsom got the next-best pertinent thing – a blowout of Grant to start 2025. Folsom showed just how far ahead of the rest of the Sac-Joaquin Section it is with a 51-13 demolition that was only competitive for one quarter. It's exactly what the Bulldogs need heading into a foe who has thoroughly had their number lately – Serra (San Mateo).

Most or all of California will be cheering on the reigning NorCal champions this week as they look to maintain a very important statewide tradition – outclassing Florida's best teams. De La Salle probably has its work cut out for it hosting Lakeland this weekend, but Lakeland struggled to gain separation last week in a 31-21 win over a much lower-ranked Auburndale foe.

A slew of fresh faces had big nights as Lincoln's offense began the season with a bang, beating strong Hawaii program Punahou 57-29. Senior RB Rashad Robinson had 14 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Lincoln's tough non-league schedule continues winding up with Long Beach Poly, Arbor View (NV), and Mission Viejo coming up.

The reigning Central Section champions started with a bang in their first game since rebranding to the Bengals, rolling past Inglewood 41-12. Familiar faces did the heavy lifting on offense in QB Jelani Dippel, RB Brandon Smith, and WRs Bayon Harris and EJ Morgan. To top it off, Harris had two sacks and a forced fumble, and Smith added an interception. This week against Grant will be interesting.

Servite's season-opening loss to Corona Centennial wasn't quite cause for concern given how promising the second half was. While the Huskies took their feet off the gas pedal a bit, Servite won the second half 14-7 and looked the part while doing it. This week's battle with Murrieta Valley should be a better game and barometer.

Given the Lions' success against Sierra Canyon in recent years and penchant for fast starts to the season, their inability to compete in a 35-0 loss to the Traiblazers definitely is cause for concern. But definitely not enough to warrant a drop in the rankings. JSerra has a chance to regroup against another formidable foe this week hosting Damien.

Highly-touted Riordan kicks off this week against perennial Oakland Section heavyweight McClymonds with a 1:30 p.m. start on Saturday. The Crusaders won a 35-34 thriller in the matchup to open 2024.

A 26-0 victory is vintage Serra, and that was the final score to beat Palos Verdes in its season opener. Ohio State commit Khary Wilder was hot out of the game with nine tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Grant's inability to keep it competitive against Folsom in its 51-13 loss made it hard to take any positives away from its season opener. On the bright side, there shouldn't be any shock on Friday when the Pacers look to upset another dominant team and reigning section champion, Central East.

The Nighthawks started with a 28-26 victory over Rancho Cucamonga. Not enough to move the needle, but solid. Sophomore QB Ty Isaia broke out with 211 yards, two touchdown passes, and one interception on 8-14 completion plus three carries for 52 yards.

Living up to the hype so far, outscoring a loaded Chaparral offense 38-33 to start with a win behind all the usual faces. Timmy Herr completed 17 of 24 passes (70.8%) for 255 yards, three touchdown passes, and one interception, Elijah Ayala ran for 128 yards and a TD on 12 carries, and Luke Frith, Ryan Matheson, and Dean Kolasinski all had a TD catch.

Statement win alert. Cathedral started with a 52-7 blowout of a solid foe in Mater Dei Catholic to get the ball rolling. Coming up next is Saint Francis (Mountain View).

While a 38-33 loss to San Juan Hills was surely a disappointing start to the season for the Pumas, it's far from a damnation for the No. 20 team in the state on the road against a higher-ranked team. With that said, it doesn't get much easier from here for them. Chaparral takes a bye week and then heads to San Clemente and Rancho Cucamonga before debuting at home against Great Oak and Mission Viejo.

Pittsburg hasn't even played a game yet but is already up two spots from last week. The new-look Pirates are considered by most to be the favorites this week against Granite Bay, but with so few returners, they might not have a lot of time to build chemistry on the fly if they want to beat the Grizzlies.

While Yorba Linda was the heavy favorite opening up against Mayfair, a 41-0 beatdown was even more lopsided than most expected. This week should be a total tossup as 22nd-ranked Mustangs head to No. 23 Edison.

Edison already has a close win under its belt with a 20-13 win against Clovis West. It wasn't a statement victory, but with Yorba Linda coming to town this week, a little bit of pressure from the very start probably wasn't bad for the Chargers.

It's only the start of "Week One", and the Griffins already have two wins against quality competition. After a rare Week Double Zero comeback win against Inglewood, they handed solid Hawaii foe Kapolei its first loss by a score of 34-31.

With Oaks Christian and Newbury Park falling out, Oak Ridge jumped about a dozen teams to earn the last spot in the top 25 with a 40-7 thrashing of Frontier. Since that didn't prove to be a challenge, its next two games might be with Mission Hills and St. Mary's (Stockton) on deck.

Damien, Inglewood, Oaks Christian, Chaminade, Newbury Park, Millikan, Carlsbad, Granite Hills-El Cajon, La Costa Canyon, Rocklin, Oak Hills, Leuzinger, Clovis North

The I-605/Katella Avenue Project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — As construction continues on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, drivers can expect occasional closures at the Katella Avenue on and off ramps that lead into Los Alamitos for at least the next year.

The closures come as part of a $32 million project from the Orange County Transportation Authority and Caltrans that will add improved safety features along the Freeway and Katella Avenue, according to city officials.

“We are pleased to continue delivering on the promises made to improve our transportation network,” OCTA Chair Doug Chaffee, also the county’s Fourth District Supervisor, said in a June statement. “This project is part of a holistic transportation approach that includes supporting public transit, active transportation, and improving streets and freeways to help people move more efficiently and safely throughout Orange County.”

Work on the project began on Wednesday, June 25, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, according to the Orange County Transit Authority.

Construction crews will be working weekdays between 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Intermittent nighttime construction will occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to mitigate traffic issues.

Crews are currently working to reconstruct a new center median along Katella Avenue and Willow Street. Detours will be in place until at least Saturday morning.

The project differs from the "Super 605" project that has caused major freeway closures since mid-June. The $260 million corridor project will rehabilitate the freeway from Long Beach to the San Gabriel Valley.

The work includes "excavation, concrete work, asphalt paving, k-rail placement, striping, guardrail work, sign removal and installation, and electrical and drainage work," according to Caltrans. It will also impact freeway lanes from Telegraph Road to Katella Avenue.
