In the last 13 years, Minnesota has experienced a huge boom in licensed breweries. It was reported by the University of Minnesota Extension that in 2012, there was only 39 licensed breweries in Minnesota. After nearly seven years in Chaska, we’ve made the difficult decision that Schram Haus Brewery will be closing at the end of the year.

?This decision did not come easily but was a necessary one. As many small breweries have experienced, the overall cost of operating a brewery in this location has made it unsustainable for us moving forward. Still, we are incredibly proud of what has been built on this bluff and we're grateful to the community who supported us.

All of the events that Schram Haus Beer had on the calendar for December will go on as planned, including live music, comedy night, trivia, and bingo.

In the goodbye letter that was shared with fans, a little bit of good news was also sprinkled at the end.
