The entertainment schedule for the new Vision & Vibe Fest has been announced. The Vision & Vibe Fest is a celebration of all things creative and artistic. The fest is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 12 & 13, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Westmont Park District’s Park Place facility, 141 S. Linden Avenue, which is located on the south side of Veterans Memorial Park near Linden and Dallas.
“It’s fun to note that so many of the performing artists have a direct connection to Westmont,” said Larry McIntyre, who coordinates the performance schedule. “Westmont has an amazing music scene and many of these musicians either work, live, volunteer, or perform here in Westmont. Thank you to all of these wonderful artists who come out to participate and share their talent with us.”
Additionally, the Vision & Vibe Fest will feature more than 30 area visual artists who will set up, display, and sell their art during the event. Visual art tents and tables will be set up along the pathway near the Park Place facility, just north of Dallas Street. Several of the featured artists will present art demonstrations during the festival. The event will also feature a Community Art Project, a Kid’s Art Area, a Balloon Twister, Face Painting, and more.

The Comprehensive Plan will analyze the Village’s existing conditions, identify goals, and provide direction for growth and redevelopment over the next 10 to 20 years. The Downtown Streetscapes Master Plan will thoughtfully reimagine our public spaces to nurture and create a vibrant environment that enhances business vitality, improves daily operations, and supports our popular downtown special events. Finally, the Downtown Parking Study will evaluate the existing parking availability and usage, then provide recommendations regarding how and where to improve parking in the downtown area. These are important projects and it is expected that it may take up to 18 months to complete all three assignments.
“Public input is vital to creating successful plans,” says Planner Adam Walsh. “There will be multiple opportunities for public input in a variety of ways. Anticipated engagement opportunities include the formation of a steering committee, workshops, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, surveys, and an online mapping tool. Residents, business owners, employees, institutions, and community organizations are invited to participate.”
A new webpage dedicated to providing updates for these initiatives has been published on the Village website. The Comprehensive Plan consultant team will also create a website specific to this project and will publish regular updates.
