Community Free day at the Ali Center - June 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Muhammad Ali Center will offer free admission Thursday. Pre-registration is encouraged to skip the lines. The day includes a lot of events, listed below.

Celebrate the legacy of Black-owned businesses with live music, food, entertainment, kid zones, and a vibrant atmosphere. Connect with the community, dance, shop, and embrace a space designed to uplift and celebrate Black culture.

“Amplify Songs of Justice” Produced by the Kentucky Opera - June 19, 7-9 p.m. | Doors open at 6 p.m.

The Kentucky Opera’s third annual “Amplify: Songs of Justice,” part of Louisville’s Juneteenth Jubilee, features music, art, and spoken word celebrating Black culture and freedom.
Local artists honor Black musical traditions, performing “Songs of Justice,” five civil rights songs commissioned in 2020 by Kentucky Opera, composed by Jorell Williams with lyrics by Dr. Paula McCraney.

Local divine 9 Black Greek fraternities and sororities partner to deliver food to communities.
2025 Lipstick Wars Poetry Slam - June 20, 5-8 p.m.
Location: Kentucky Center – 501 West Main Street, Louisville, KY
Celebrate empowerment and culture at the 10th anniversary of the Lipstick Wars Poetry Slam, featuring women poets from across the nation.
International spoken word artist Tripp Fontane will headline the event, showcasing thought-provoking performances.
Enjoy food, drinks, music, and the Lipstick Wars Vendor Market, highlighting local female artisans. Hosted by Robin G and Lance “Mr. SpreadLove” Newman, the evening promises inspiration, community, and celebration of Juneteenth.

1st Annual Freedom Day Festival at Camp Nelson National Monument - June 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Location: Camp Nelson National Monument, public shuttle from Kentucky Center For African American Heritage, 1701 West Muhammad Ali Boulevard
The National Park Service and partners will host the first annual Freedom Day Festival at Camp Nelson National Monument, celebrating the creation of the Brigadier General Charles Young Memorial Historical Corridor. Renowned Louisville sculptor Ed Hamilton will serve as the guest speaker.
