Look for a colorful and lively showcase of decorated vehicles, floats and parade walkers sharing the island holiday spirit.
For those unable to enjoy the parade in person, Olelo Community Media and KSSK Radio will livestream the event with emcees Sweetie Paccaro and Jimmy Da Geek. Live coverage will air on Dec. 6 on Olelo 53 and re-air on the same channel on the following dates and times: 6 p.m. Dec. 22, 4 p.m. Dec. 23, 9 a.m. Dec. 24 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 25.
In addition to all the fun outside Kapolei Hale, decorations will brighten the building, highlighted by a 50-foot tree. Inside, the public can see community tree displays from various city agencies, neighborhood boards and other community organizations. Island Pacific Academy will provide make-and-take crafts for keiki, and there will be carnival-style games and fun photo opportunities as well.
The city invites the public to bring a picnic mat and enjoy additional entertainment in the open-air courtyard featuring Moon Kahele at 6 p.m. From 5 to 8:30 p.m., take a photo with Santa.
Road closures for the block party will be conducted in phases beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. Public parking is available in and around Kapolei Regional Park.
