CCACC Health Center is scheduled to host the 2024 Annual Health Fair on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC). We warmly welcome everyone to participate actively in the event.
Since 2017, the Annual Health Fair has become an important event in our yearly service to the community (paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Through the Annual Health Fair, we offer a wide range of free medical services to all participants. On the day of the fair, you will have the opportunity to receive a variety of free screenings and tests, including:
· Blood pressure & blood glucose
· Body mass index (BMI)
· Bone density
· Vision & hearing
· Mental health consultation
· Other services
These screenings will help you gain a better understanding of your health and detect potential risks early. In addition, we will also offer vaccination services to further enhance your health protection, helping to prevent the flu and other viral infections, ensuring the well-being of you and your family.
In addition to free medical services, benefits consultation, and on-site doctor consultations, the Annual Health Fair will feature over 30 exhibition booths from Montgomery County government agencies and community organizations, offering healthcare resources such as primary care, specialized medical information, traditional Chinese medicine, and detailed information on assisted living and senior nursing homes. Each booth will have carefully prepared small gifts for attendees, and 200 sets of farm produce will be given away for free, on a first-come, first-served basis!
Preventive Bloodwork at the Annual Health Fair (pre-registration required)
Before the Annual Health Fair, CCACC Health Center will offer preventive blood test from August 26 to September 25, Monday through Friday. This service includes routine blood work and Hepatitis B screening.
Eligibilities:
· Free for uninsured, low income Montgomery County residents who signed up for Montgomery Cares Program
· Free for those who has insurance that CCACC Health Center takes
· $30 for those who do not fit the above criteria
After the blood test results are reviewed by a physician, we will mail the results to the participants. You are also welcome to pick up your report at the Annual Health Fair on September 28. If any health issues are identified in the report, we will contact you for further consultation.
