This marks the league’s fourth trip to Williamsport since 2017—and its second straight summer there—cementing Sioux Falls as a rising power on both the regional and national stage.
Meanwhile, Glenmoore Eagle LL won’t have to travel far, staying in their home state of Pennsylvania as they look to become the first Keystone State team to win it all since 1960. The Glenmoore Little League team delivered another commanding performance Thursday, defeating Maryland 7-1 in Bristol, Connecticut, the second time they've bested the Maryland squad in just one week.
The victory not only sends them to the Little League World Series but also keeps them undefeated in the tournament.
From the first pitch, Glenmoore set the tone with confident play on both sides of the ball. Their bats came alive early, putting runs on the board and applying constant pressure. Meanwhile, their pitching and defense shut down Maryland's offense, allowing only a single run in the game.
Back home at Liberty Union Bar & Grill, in Chester County, excitement rippled through the crowd as families, friends, and community members packed in to watch the game live. The atmosphere was electric — tense at times, but filled with hope. And when that final out was called, the reaction was immediate and overwhelming: cheers, hugs, and tears of joy.
"Not only are they great baseball players, but they are great kids," said Michael Meehan, who coaches a younger team in the organization.
The win wasn't just for the players; it was for the entire community. Parents and loved ones could be seen celebrating with pride, many visibly emotional as they watched their boys take another huge step forward.
"I think they are a heck of a team. These kids we are used to them finding a way," Meehan said.
Glenmoore now faces the Midwest Champions, South Dakota, next Thursday.
One thing is certain — this team has momentum, confidence, and the full support of a community ready to keep cheering them on.

"They have been ready since they were 8," Glenmoore Eagle shared after their mid-Atlantic region-clinching win.
2025 marks the fifth consecutive year the the Mid-Atlantic region will be represented by a team from Pennsylvania, following teams from Upper Providence, Hollidaysburg, Media, and Council Rock. While all were remarkable teams who captured the hearts of Pennsylvania sports fans, none quite rose to the level of the legendary 2015 team from Red Land, the last Keystone State to win the American championship.
Red Land was ultimately defeated by the Tokyo, Japan boys in the World Series final. But a decade later, their impact lingers. And the path has been laid for the next Pennsylvania team to go all the way.
"To say we are proud of these kids and coaches would be a huge understatement," wrote Michael Meehan, with the Glenmoore Eagle Little League. "Obviously, they are great players, but they also play and coach the game the right way, and they represent our league and community to the highest degree."
The days since their Mid-Atlantic championship win on Aug. 8 have been a whirlwind. The team immediately got on a bus and headed off to Williamsport to prepare for this Thursday's game. They've received flashy new Mid-Atlantic region uniforms, which still pay homage to the red and blue of Glenmoore Little League. And they've participated in a series of photo ops with ESPN crews ahead of the tournament's launch.
Glenmoore Eagle has launched a GoFundMe to help players and their families cover basic expenses which have been incurred since they hit the road in early June. They had raised just over $2,500 as of Monday morning.
The World Series begins on Aug. 13 and will continue through Aug. 24. In-person admission is free to all games. In the past, many games have had full or nearly full crowds in the stands, while championship games often have thousands in the grass field extending beyond the outfield in the hills above the complex.
More than 300 of the games will also be broadcast on ESPN.
The tournament will feature 10 of the best teams from a series of regional tournaments around the United States, and 10 teams representing various countries globally.

The Glenmoore Eagle Little League team, from Uwchlan Township, has punched its ticket to Williamsport, and will represent Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic Region in the 2025 Little League World Series.
With a spot to Williamsport on the line, the Chester County team defeated Maryland’s Germantown Little League team, 7-1, on Friday in the Mid-Atlantic regional final. They are the third consecutive Philly area team to come out of the Mid-Atlantic Region, following teams from Council Rock Newtown (2024) and Media (2023).
The two Mid-Atlantic teams were already quite familiar with each other, with Glenmoore handing Maryland an early loss, defeating the team, 7-2, led by a strong performance at the plate from Nick Bongiorni who recorded three doubles.
Although Friday’s game was shaping up to be slightly more competitive than their first matchup, the result was still the same. After a slow start earlier in the week, falling behind 7-0, Maryland came out the gate swinging Friday. Maddox Schiano hit a triple in the second at-bat of the game, and Dylan Holahan followed with an RBI single to put Maryland up 1-0.
Unfortunately for Maryland, the lead didn’t last long — and they’d never get it back. Marek Kalavik started the day with a solid single to center field. Power hitter Aiden Mercer, who hit a home run in the teams’ first meeting, was walked. And Bongiorni found more success in the final with a crucial RBI single to get the scoring started for the Pa. team, who took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the frame.
Maryland’s struggles continued in the third inning, when Glenmoore Eagle’s Justin Shaw hit a pop up to Maryland pitcher Ben Murphy. Murphy missed the ball, leading to Mercer scoring on the error. Ethan Herbein, the team’s starting pitcher, added an RBI single to make it a three-run game.
In the fifth inning, Mercer replaced Herbein on the mound and closed out the game. Offensively, Glenmoore was led by Mercer’s two runs and Shaw’s two singles, which included an RBI.
“It’s great,” a speechless Mercer said on the ESPN broadcast after the game. “I don’t know how to explain it. It’s awesome.”
And what is he looking forward to most about Williamsport?
“Representing the Mid-Atlantic, that’s all.”
The Little League World Series is set to begin on Aug. 13 with the United States and International finals on Aug. 23, and the championship game scheduled for August 24.
The Glenmoore Eagle team, which will look to make it further than Council Rock Newtown (third round) and Media (second round), is scheduled to open play on Thursday, Aug. 14, against Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Midwest Regional winners.

The Little League Baseball World Series only permits players aged 10 to 12. The birthday cutoff is Aug. 31, so all players in the 2025 LLWS must be born between Aug. 31, 2013 and Aug. 31, 2015.
