North Liberty Community Pantry Open House

Everyone in the community is welcome to the official grand opening and 40th birthday party of the North Liberty Community Pantry at 350 W Penn St. on July 14th! The event will include a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Open House, and birthday party sponsored by our Food for Forty partner, Hills Bank.

Bring a friend to work on jigsaw puzzles with us! We’ll have plenty of 300 and fewer piece puzzles from the library’s collection to work on together or on your own.
Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, crafts, puzzles, book discussions, and more! No registration required. You can choose which events you would like to attend and are not obligated to go weeks when the activity is not of interest to you.

It Pizza Party Week! We will have a variety of pizzas from Marco’s for lunch and afterward we’ll play Bingo, which is always free to play with the chance to win small prizes.
Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend lunch. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, July 17th. Call the Rec Center to register (319)626-5716 or go online to your RecDesk Account and register yourself.
55+ Connections: Friday Meal Raffles
Thanks to a generous donor, we have 100 free meals to give away to participants of the 55+ Connections Friday Lunch! We have decided to hold raffles every week for the rest of 2025 to distribute these meals. Three names will be drawn weekly and the three winners will have the cost of lunch that day refunded to them. Anyone who is registered for lunch can participate, but you can’t win twice in one month. Catch up with friends and socialize as a community Friday nights in June and July on the Ranshaw House lawn. Bring a picnic, BYOB and enjoy live performances from local musicians on the historic house’s front porch.

Introduction to RPGs

Coralville Public Library – Meeting Rooms A&B
Come to the Coralville Public Library for an easy introduction to a variety of Role Playing Games (RPGs). RPGs are collaborative storytelling events filled with puzzles, adventure, & comradery. No prior experience necessary.
Enjoy a chance to explore a haunted lighthouse, hunt monsters, or run a coffee shop whether you have a group of friends, want to join a game, or just want to play on your own.
This free event is intended for adults. Games and supplies are provided. Some games will be available in other languages.
Cook the Book: The Stardew Valley Official Cookbook

Ranshaw House Lawn – 515 Community Dr., North Liberty (or in the library if the weather is bad)
Pick your recipe, make it, and bring it to the library to share! You can choose any recipe from The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook, created by Eric Barone and Ryan Novak, to make and share at our meet up on July 19th.
Registration and recipe selection begins June 27. For in-person registration, come to the library to browse the whole book and staff will photocopy your recipe for you. To sign up online, you can select one of 10 recipes from our sign up here. On July 19th we’ll all share what we made, talk about the recipes, and one lucky participant will walk away with a free copy of The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook.
Stardew Valley is a farm-life simulation, role play video game created by Eric Barone. It is known for its cozy atmosphere and it allows players to grow crops, raise livestock, fish, cook, forage, socialize, and more!
