Home Care Bristol, CT

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting the historic Sailor's Refuge gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. “Dear Rick, Over the past three plus years, my father Joseph Ceuch has lived at home assisted by the caregivers from your company Always Best Care of Greater Bristol. This letter is a personal thank you from my father and the entire Ceuch family on how your caregivers treated and attended to my father during this time. The caregivers became part of our extended family who shared in countless family events resulting in beautiful lasting memories. Caregivers Frances Boateng, Jeremy Turner, and Yanice Hernandez were awesome in their care of my father. I want to especially acknowledge Francis as a person who went above and beyond his responsibility and became part of the Ceuch inner circle. It was not uncommon for Francis on his off days to stop by during a family picnic to say hello...he is truly loved by my father. Again, I want to thank you for the loving care your caregivers provided my father. I would highly recommend your company to anyone interested in having a caregiver attend to a loved one. Thanks again”

“Heather, I just wanted to thank Always Best Care in helping to provide care for my step father, Daryl. It's unbelievable how the progression of his illness happened so quickly, however, Always Best Care was always ready to provide the level of care he needed as it increased. Most importantly, I'd like to thank his aide, Sue Malasics. She was wonderful to Daryl and took great care of his needs. I knew I did not have to worry with Sue there with him. She was always cooking wonderful homemade meals and desserts and I was happy to see how happy she made Daryl. I think she is a wonderful asset to Always Best Care. Should I know of anyone needing help in the future, I would recommend Always Best Care and Sue Malasics.”

“Our sister, Barbara has early-onset dementia , and was in sudden need of a personal care assistant until placement in a quality skilled nursing facility became available. We reached out to home health care agencies in her local area but, by this point, had already worked with several agencies for med reminders for Barbara (and 24/7 care for our Mom in another area of CT) and were a bit skeptical that that we’d find one that could provide consistent quality of care. When I spoke with Rick Downey of Always Best Care Senior Services in Bristol, he conveyed both confidence in his knowledge of health care and empathy in understanding the frustrations that families experience when seeking quality care for their loved ones. We were next contacted by their care coordinator,Heather Kozikowski, who came to our sister’s home to conduct an assessment and further explain the services offered by Always Best Care.A further testament to the exceptional quality of Always Best Care is the service and care we’ve received after Barbara is no longer a client; our thanks to Always Best Care for the excellent care of our sister, and the peace-of-mind it afforded our family knowing that she was in such kind and competent hands!”

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local The Chef's Table or visit Old Post Office, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Bristol, CT, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your CT's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Bristol, CT understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Respite Care Bristol, CT

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Bristol, CT

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Some of the most popular assisted living communities to consider in our area include the following:

  • Shady Oaks Assisted Living LLC
  • KindCare Assisted Living
  • KindCare Assisted Living
  • Sheriden Woods Health Care Center
  • Village Green of Bristol
  • Countryside Manor of Bristol

Fairfield National Little League is playing for the Little League Baseball Metro Region Tournament championship Friday night at Breen Field in Bristol.

Here's what you need to know:

How did Fairfield National advance to the Metro Region Final?

Fairfield National reached the final after defeating Jackson Holbrook Little League 3-0 in seven innings on Wednesday, also at Breen Field. The game was scoreless through the regulation six innings.

Fairfield National defeated Jackson Holbrook for the second time in Metro Region play. Both games went to extra innings. Like Major League Baseball, an automatic runner starts the inning on second base in extra innings.

That runner, Luca Pelligrini, tried to score on a single and was called out at the plate. But the play was reviewed, also like MLB, and the call was reversed. Pelligrini was safe and Fairfield National led 1-0 in the top of the seventh inning.

SJ Taxiltaridis scored the second run on a wild pitch and Jimmy Taxiltaridis the third on Dante Madera’s sacrifice fly. SJ Taxiltaridis went the distance on the mound for the victory.

What time is the game and how do I watch on TV?

Fairfield National will face St. James-Smithtown of New York in a winner-take-all game Friday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. The winner advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Aug. 13-24.

Fairfield National is attempting to become the first Connecticut team to advance to the Little League World Series since Fairfield American in 2017.

St. James-Smithtown handed Fairfield National, the Connecticut champion, its only defeat in tournament play, 6-1 on Monday. That win landed St. James-Smithtown in the championship game, meaning the team will have had three days off in between games.

Is there an admission fee at Little League Region final?

Admission is free to the game. There are several parking lots spectators can access off of Mix Street (use 335 Mix Street for GPS). There are parking lots for the pool, Edgewood, Barnes Field and neighboring St. Paul High School.

Has a Connecticut team made the Little League World Series?

Connecticut has a rich history of sending teams to the Little League World Series, with 21 teams qualifying in the history of the event.

Middletown was the first Connecticut team to reach the Little League World Series in 1948, followed by Bridgeport in 1949 and again in 1950. The 1950 Bridgeport team was the first to reach the championship game, losing to Houston.

Stamford was the first team from Connecticut to win the Little League championship, defeating Texas 3-0 in the 1951 final.

Norwalk National followed as champs in 1952, beating Monongahela, Pa. 4-3 with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

North End Little League in Bridgeport finished third in 1957 and Darien fourth in 1958. Stratford reached the final in 1963, losing to Granada Hills, California.

Sixty years ago, Windsor Locks won its lone World Series title 3-1 over Canada. Pop Smith from New Haven made its only appearance in 1974, placing sixth, and Forestville, Bristol followed in 1976, finishing fifth.

Stamford Federal (sixth) and Stamford American (fourth) made appearances in 1981 and 1983, respectively, followed by McCabe-Waters (Bristol, eighth) in 1984.

Then came the last champion from Connecticut, Trumbull National in 1989. Led by Chris Drury, current general manager for the New York Rangers, and Andy Paul, Trumbull defeated Taiwan 5-2.

It took nearly two decades for Connecticut to again be represented in Williamsport when Shelton National went in 2008, followed by Fairfield American in 2010, 2012 and 2017 with Westport making a run in 2013. But no state team has reached the championship game since Trumbull National.

When does the Metro Region winner open play at Little League World Series?

The winner of Friday night's Metro Region championship would play the Southwest Region representative, Lamar Little League of Richmond, Texas on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.

BRISTOL — When asked if his heartbeat had slowed down, Fairfield National manager Brian Palazzolo laughed, smiled, and said: “Not so much.”

Palazzolo could smile, because his team made all the plays Wednesday as Fairfield National and Jackson Holbrook of New Jersey again went extra innings at the Little League Baseball Metro Region at Breen Field. The difference was this game was win or go home.

Fairfield National scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning, then held on for a 3-0 win over Jackson Holbrook. Fairfield National faces St. James-Smithtown of New York on Friday night at 7 (ESPN) for the Metro Region championship and a berth in the Little League World Series. St. James defeated Fairfield National 6-1 on Monday

“The heart is still pounding. It feels great to get the ‘W’,” Palazzolo said. “We came out on top, got some clutch hits in the top of the seventh, and we’re excited for Friday. We’ll see New York again.”

Luca Pelligrini was the automatic runner on second base to start the top of the seventh inning. SJ Taxiltaridis was intentionally walked. After a strikeout, Jimmy Taxiltaridis blooped a single against an outfield that was playing deep. Jackson Holbrook center fielder Jake Henry threw home, but the throw sailed high. Catcher Niko Gryvatz chased the ball down and threw to pitcher Gavin Hobbs covering home. Pelligrini was originally ruled out, but after a lengthy replay review, he was called safe. SJ Taxiltaridis scored on a wild pitch, then Jimmy Taxiltaridis came home on Dante Madera’s sacrifice fly.

Jackson Holbrook got the tying run to the plate in their half of the seventh, but SJ Taxiltaridis struck out the last batter, on his 85th and final pitch of the day, to end the game.

“We had a great pitching performance, as everybody saw, from SJ Taxiltaridis today. He gave us seven dominant innings on the mound,” Palazzolo said.

On defense, the center fielder Madera made three different diving catches.

“I expect SJ to pump the strike zone and know that a bunch of the balls are going to come to me,” Madera said. “I just have to get a read on the ball and catch all of them.”

“Defense, the defense was astounding, led by our center fielder of the no fly zone (Dante Madera). He’s our defensive whiz out there. He’s a human highlight film,” Palazzolo said. “He makes those catches for us day in and day out in practice, and robs our team. He makes our team better, because we know we’ve got to hit away from him. He’s a stud, he’s excellent.”

Asked if he had a favorite catch, Madera said it was one he made leading off the bottom of the fifth inning to rob Jackson Holbrook’s Ryan Blackburn of an extra-base hit.

“The one where I’m playing in, and this kid hit a ball over my head. I made a diving catch, hit my jaw,” Madera said.

“Hit your jaw? Are you OK? I should probably check on that,” Palazzolo quipped.

Madera wasn’t the only Fairfield National defender to flash the leather. Right fielder Ben Herbst added his own diving catch in the right-center gap in the third inning, one inning after running down a ball in foul territory for another out. Tommy D’Amura’s diving catch at first base in the fourth inning saved potentially a pair of runs in a bases-loaded situation. The third baseman Brian Palazzolo made a diving catch on a ball destined for a hit in the sixth.

SJ Taxiltaridis needed just 16 pitches to get through the first two innings. He worked around a one-out single in the third, but found bases-loaded trouble in the fourth with one out after two walks and a single. Taxiltaridis got the liner to D’Amura at first for the second out, then Palazzolo fielded a grounder, ran to third and stepped on the bag to end the threat.

“The game plan was hit the strike zone, pitch to contact, make our defense make the plays, and Dante in center field made every single play,” SJ Taxiltaridis said.

Fairfield National left seven runners on base over the first five innings, including second and third in the first after a ground-rule double by SJ Taxiltaridis.

“We got unfortunate on the ground-rule double in the first,” the manager Palazzolo said. “If that hit off the fence, we would have had a 1-0 lead, might have been a triple for him, it could have been a little bit different outcome.”

Fairfield National finally did enough in extra innings to emerge with the win, and now a rematch with St. James-Smithtown awaits.

BRISTOL — The Fairfield National baseball team scored six runs in its first three games of the Little League Metro Region tournament at Breen Field.

In Friday night’s championship game against St. James-Smithtown of New York, Fairfield National scored seven runs in the top of the fourth inning alone. The seven runs were part of an offensive explosion and a 12-1 victory.

The Connecticut champion pounded out 14 hits to become the first state team to earn a regional berth and advance to the Little League World Series since Fairfield American made the trip in 2017. They are the 22nd Connecticut team to reach Williamsport. Manchester went in 2021 as the New England runner-up when international teams didn’t play because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I feel great, we’re going to Williamsport. It’s my dream," said winning pitcher Luca Pelligrini (4 innings, 1 run, 1 hit, 9 strikeouts, 2 walks, 2 hit batsmen).

"It’s not a sigh of relief. When all of your hard work pays off and you can get to a childhood dream with these guys, it’s a special thing," Fairfield National manager Brian Palazzolo said. "I couldn’t be more happy for our players, our coaches, families."

Fairfield National reached the championship game with a 3-0 win in extra innings against Jackson Holbrook of New Jersey. Their other win also came over Jackson Holbrook, 2-1, in the opener for both teams

Fairfield National opens against Southwest Champion Lamar Little League of Richmond, Texas, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (ESPN).

The last Connecticut team to win the World Series was the Chris Drury-led Trumbull National squad that beat Taiwan, 5-2, in 1989.

Fairfield National jumped all over St. James-Smithtown starter Jeremy Katz and made the right-hander throw 33 pitches while getting just one out.

The trouble started with SJ Taxiltaridis’ one-out single. Taxiltaridis took second before the ball was back on the mound. After a Tommy D’Amura walk, Jimmy Taxiltaridis stroked an RBI double to right-center to score SJ for a 1-0 lead. Dante Madera followed with a two-run triple on a hop off the right-center fence to score D’Amura and Jimmy Taxiltaridis for a 3-0 lead.

"It helps me a lot," Pelligrini said of the early run support. "It helps me stay locked in, pitching strikes. I was picking up a lot of momentum with each batter."

Pelligrini walked his first batter, then struck out the side. Pelligrini’s RBI single in the top of the second inning gave Fairfield National a 4-0 lead, then he struck out the side again in the bottom of the frame. In the third, Ben Herbst’s RBI single gave Fairfield National a commanding 5-0 lead.

Pelligrini’s strikeout streak reached seven in a row before Lucas Kostas grounded out to D’Amura at first base in the bottom of the third. St. James-Smithtown got its first hit in the third inning when JT Borowski singled off the glove of third baseman Brian Palazzolo. Hit by pitches to Gary Rocco and Hunter Falcone were sandwiched around the hit and loaded the bases. A bases-loaded walk to Chase Saxon scored Rocco with the first St. James-Smithtown run. SJ Taxiltaridis made a nice play on the run at shortstop to get the final out.

"The kid pounds the zone. Nothing fazes him," Palazzolo said about Pelligrini. "Smithtown had that little rally going in the third inning there, the crowd got a little (in their favor), we were on our toes a little bit. He buckled down, another web gem play by SJ to get us out of that inning. It was a slow roller, and (he had to) come in, scoop it, and fire across the diamond."

Fairfield National got the run back in the fourth when Charlie McCullough reached on a single, moved up to second base on a grounder to the pitcher, then scored on an infield error. That was only the start of things for Fairfield National, which exploded for seven runs.

"We were able to keep our bats alive and close them out. Seven in the fourth is a special thing," Palazzolo said. "We’ve been putting up crooked numbers all year, haven’t really seen it here, but we knew it was coming. We never know when it’s coming, but our bats were there, and we were ready to rock."

D’Amura ripped an RBI single back up the middle to push the lead to 7-1. Bases loaded walks to Madera and Herbst made the score 9-1. Colin Curley’s two-run single stretched the lead to 11-1, then an RBI single by Joe Sorrentino made it 12-1.

"We got our bats, and we went to work. We hit, we hit, we hit. We knew it was there," Palazzolo said about the team's work following Monday's loss. "We just had to fine-tune everybody. It was a good tune-up, and we put the ball in play. Chasing barrels, and good things happen."

The Fairfield National, and Connecticut fans in general, were cheering from the first inning on, and the support was much appreciated.

"It was our home state in Bristol. A bunch of fans were here, and they got us pumped up. I lost my voice cheering so much," Madera said.

"The crowd was electric. We had a big Fairfield fan base," Palazzolo said. "All of Fairfield National and Fairfield American, I saw a bunch of their hats up there. The whole state came out to support us, from the whole left side all the way out to center field. It was pretty cool, it was standing room only."

Pelligrini got a fly out to Madera in center field, then struck out the final two batters to end the game via the mercy rule after four innings.

Fairfield National got a chance for payback Friday and seized it. There was celebrating to do after the postgame press interviews, but the team is slated to be on the bus early Saturday for the nearly 300-mile ride from Bristol to Williamsport, Penn.

BRISTOL, CT. (WFSB) - The Fairfield National Little League team punched their ticket to Williamsport for the Little League World Series by beating New York 12-1 in four innings Friday evening.

They didn’t waste any time getting to work up at the dish.

The combination of an RBI double by Jimmy Taxiltaridis and a booming two RBI triple by Dante Madera got them off to a great start with a 3-0 lead after the first inning.

In the third, Ben Herbst joined the hit party, pushing Fairfield’s lead up to five. But, it was in the 4th inning where they pulled away.

They scored seven runs in that inning, sending the pro-Connecticut crowd into a frenzy and making a big time statement.

With a 12-1 lead due to the 10-run mercy rule, Fairfield only needed three more outs to punch their ticket to Williamsport.

After their offensive explosion, they shut the door on New York to win the metro regional for the first time in their leagues history.

Luca Pellegrini was dialed in on the mound and up at the plate, pitching a complete game with eight strikeouts while also driving in a couple of runs to help his own cause.

This was the first time in their league’s history that they have made it to the metro regional, and it’s was a crazy rollercoaster ride of emotions.

They won their first game against New Jersey 2-1 with the final out of the game coming on a wild play where a runner was called out for sliding headfirst into second base.

They would beat them again on Wednesday 3-0 to book their spot in Friday night’s matchup.

With their massive win, Fairfield’s magical season lives on.

The Little League World Series begins next week.
