I-70 Variable Speed Limit Signs in Dowd Canyon

Glenwood Canyon Bridge Joint Improvements

I-70 Chief Hosa to Morrison Resurfacing
Location: I-70 from Chief Hosa to MorrisonSchedule: July 2024 to Fall 2025Traffic Impacts: Westbound lane shift with reduced lane and shoulder widths on westbound side. Single and double lane closures during the night. Resurfacing work begins in mid-July.Webpage: Coming soon.
Huntsman Segment of the Peaks to Plains Trail

I-70 Express Lane
Location: I-70 between Idaho Springs and EmpireSchedule: Open as toll lanes during peak period travel times, mostly on weekends and holidays.Traffic Impacts: Enter and exit the Express Lanes through the dashed lines only, do not drive in the Express Lanes when they are closed and do not travel in the Express Lanes with an oversized vehicle. I-70 Floyd Hill
Location: I-70 from west of Evergreen to eastern Idaho SpringsSchedule: Summer 2023 to late 2029Traffic Impacts: I-70 lane and ramp closures, and flaggers and alternating traffic on US 40. Expect 20-minute I-70 traffic holds for rock blasting through the end of 2026. Watch for new traffic patterns, narrowed lanes and shoulders and reduced speed limits.
