Home Care Delhi, LA

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting the historic Isa Khan's Tomb, Delhi gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Delhi, LA?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Indian Accent or visit Safdarjung Tomb, Delhi, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Delhi, LA, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

 Elderly Care Delhi, LA

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your LA's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Delhi, LA understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Respite Care Delhi, LA

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Delhi, LA

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Some of the most popular assisted living communities to consider in our area include the following:

  • kalka Maa résidence
  • THE SECOND INNING HOME

In July 2019, an individual named Tejas Bhatia started a Change.org petition to attempt to persuade Air India to begin flying to Dallas-Fort Worth. The petition has since closed but garnered support from 1,148 individuals during its operation. These potential passengers are not the only supporters; many have been requesting nonstop service from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to India for several years.

These years of waiting appear to have finally paid off. Recently leaked information suggests Air India intends to initiate service to DFW and six other international destinations this year. Two of these new routes will serve U.S. destinations.

Air India to Dallas/Fort Worth?

At this time, Air India has not officially announced any new services. However, X account Jet Arena reported that the following seven cities are slated to receive new Air India service this year:

Los Angeles, Dallas, and Seattle are among the top three North American markets lacking a nonstop flight to India, the other two being the Canadian cities of Edmonton and Calgary. Zurich, Rome, KL, Jakarta, and LA were all previous Air India destinations, while Dallas and Seattle will be new services.

There is strong demand for an Air India route serving DFW for multiple seasons. Over the past year, booking data revealed that DFW Airport had around 950 people flying to or from India daily. The DFW metropolitan area is home to one of the largest Indian-American populations, with over 235,000 as of 2021. Texas alone has 450,000 Indian Americans, the second-highest number in the U.S. after New York.

At the moment, Emirates and Qatar Airways carry the bulk of DFW's India traffic, with Turkish Airlines, American, and Air France being other significant contributors. Surprisingly, British Airways and Lufthansa, who both serve more Indian cities than Turkish or Air France, are not higher up on this list.

Also surprising is that the most popular Indian city flown to from DFW is not Mumbai or Delhi but Hyderabad. Mumbai and Delhi are the second and third-most popular markets from DFW, respectively, followed by Bengaluru and Chennai. Other popular Indian cities from DFW include Ahmedabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, and Nagpur. A nonstop route to India from DFW could fly to Delhi, Air India's primary hub, or Mumbai, the airline's secondary hub.

Although Air India states this new service will start on February 1, this date is unlikely since the airline would have officially announced ticket sales months in advance. Usually, new international routes need anywhere from three to six months advance notice to account for government approvals and garner enough awareness and sales. It remains to be seen if Air India will get this service launched by February 1.

Internal schedules for Air India's new destinations were partially leaked on X. While these could change, the schedule Air India has for DFW is as follows:

*Local times to departure and arrival cities

The flights will operate as Air India 199 from DEL-DFW and Air India 198 from DFW-DEL.

[DFW,DEL]

Dallas will be Air India's longest route from Delhi and third-longest overall at 8,186 miles (15,160 kilometers). Given this route's massive mileage, Air India plans to use its newly-acquired fleet of five secondhand Boeing 777-200LRs that formerly flew with Delta. These aircraft seat 288 passengers, with 28 in Business, 48 in Premium Economy, and 212 in Economy. The -200LR has a range of 9,845 miles (18,233 kilometers).

However, the long-distance route requires a significant amount of fuel, which can be a major cost nowadays amid volatile global oil prices. The possible launch of direct service between DFW and India would excite many travelers, especially those who frequently travel between the U.S. and India.

Los Angeles and Seattle

Los Angeles is Air India's next U.S. destination that's been leaked. LAX had over 95,000 point-to-point passengers to Delhi alone in the past year. Looking at all of India, the numbers are around 305,000+ passengers flying from LAX to India in the past year. Air India previously served Los Angeles via Frankfurt with the Boeing 747-400. Although this service ended in 2008, there are many awesome photos and videos of Air India's elegant 747s flying in and out of LAX.

Air India's new service from Delhi will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The equipment used on the LAX route will also allegedly be the ex-Delta 777-200LRs. The flight numbers will be AI 195 from DEL-LAX and then AI 194 for the flight back, but the exact schedule has yet to be released. Air India has witnessed massive success with its routes to San Francisco from Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Seattle is the third U.S. city that Air India is targeting in 2024. Not much is known about this route's frequency or the aircraft Air India will deploy for this service. The route may also operate from Delhi using a Boeing 777-200LR. In the past year, Seattle saw 67,000 passengers point-to-point to and from Delhi, and airlines have noticed this demand in the past.

Emirates launched nonstop flights to Seattle in 2012 due to strong demand for travel to India. Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines followed suit in 2021 and 2022, respectively. American Airlines announced a new nonstop route from Seattle to Bengaluru in 2020, but it has yet to materialize due to the pandemic and Russian airspace restrictions. As of now, American has yet to make plans to move forward with that service.

Europe and Southeast Asia

Air India is also looking to start services to Rome and Zurich. Rome was last served until 2021, while Zurich was last served until 2008. Once they resume, both flights will allegedly use the Boeing 787-8 that Air India primarily uses on flights to Europe. There is no information about flight frequencies or a possible start date. Both cities will likely be served from Delhi, where the bulk of Air India's European services operate.

The other two new destinations in 2024 will be Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. Jakarta was last served via Singapore until 2008 with the Airbus A310, and as of now, there are no current nonstop flights between Jakarta and Delhi and most of India. The only route from Jakarta to India is from Mumbai on IndiGo, a six-hour flight. Air India has not specified what city they will serve Jakarta from.

Kuala Lumpur was last served by Air India until 2008, also with A310s. According to internal schedules, Air India will launch daily service from Delhi to Kuala Lumpur from March 1 with the Airbus A320neo. Perhaps the A320neo will also be used for the airline's new route to Jakarta.

The Rise of Air India

Air India has been in the process of making a huge comeback following its privatization. New aircraft, branding, and a bigger route network were some results people expected from the TATA Group's takeover of the Indian flag carrier. While Air India has not officially disclosed the schedules for these seven new international destinations, the leaked info suggests the airline is moving quickly to expand its network, aiming to serve Indians worldwide.

Why did Mumbai become more polluted while Delhi skies cleared up last winter? Climate change may be a factor

A rare triple dip La Nina episode, said to be a mark of climate change, set off a peculiar air quality trend in the 2022-23 winter season, showed a new study. This period was characterised by improved air quality in north India and increased pollution levels in Peninsular India, the report published in the journal Elsevier February 18 stated.

“The 2022-23 winters did coincide with the last phase of a rare triple-dip La Nina event, the first in the 21st century. This phenomenon, which was an influence of climate change, did impact the large-scale wind pattern playing a decisive role in prevention of stagnation conditions in cities of North India, thus improving air quality,” RH Kripalani, the report co-author told the news agency Press Trust of India. Kriplani is a climate scientist at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology.

“In North India, Ghaziabad recorded the most significant improvement with a reduction of 33 per cent, which was closely followed by Rohtak and Noida with a reduction of 30 per cent and 28 per cent, respectively,” the authors wrote in the report.

Landlocked Delhi in the northern plains of India, notorious for its unhealthy air, also recorded an improvement with a reduction of about 10 per cent in the winter months of 2022-23.

In contrast, the atmospheric pattern led to calmer conditions in peninsular Indian cities, accelerating transboundary pollution and significantly deteriorating air quality, Kriplani added.

As per the report, Mumbai became the city to record the highest deterioration with a 30 per cent rise in Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 levels. This, it elaborated, was followed by the cities of Coimbatore recording an increase in PM 2.5 levels by 28 per cent and Bengaluru, and Chennai recording a rise in the same by 20 per cent and 12 per cent respectively.

In order to validate this hypothesis, a newly developed advanced NIAS-SAFAR air quality forecasting model was used. This model is said to combine a chemical-transport model with an indigenously developed modern artificial intelligent algorithm.

“Our findings are vindicated as the air quality in the winter of 2023-24, at the end of La Nina, did return to normal levels. The current paper’s findings suggest we need to wake up to the fact that extreme and unusual happenings in the phenomenon of air pollution either directly or indirectly are the manifestations of climate change,” Gufran Beig, another study author as quoted by PTI said.

“Such disclosures, most probably, are set to increase by leaps and bounds. This, unless our focus is on a long-term strategy to decrease the menace of anthropogenic emissions direct at the source. It would be a win-win for both air quality and climate change,” further said Beig, as per the news agency.

To understand the association of La Nina-induced changes in large-scale wind pattern and variability in particulate pollutants in 2022 across various regions in the country, the study authors utilised the chemical transport model as a primary methodology. They also carried out sensitivity simulations to validate their findings.

While extreme weather and changing climate patterns take a heavier toll on the planet, new trends in the frequency of severe pollution events are taking a toll on a regional scale, hence threatening health and food security, the study concluded.

“Current research advocated that the sudden flip-flop of the current Indian pollution cycle forms a part of a larger meteorological phenomenon linked to the last phase of triple dip La Nina,” also stated the conclusion.

Air India wants to fly from India to Los Angeles

Air India, the most prominent International Carrier from India, has been planning to get even bigger, never mind their massive debt. Delhi San Francisco Air India flights were launched three times a week in December 2015 and then doubled in frequency to 6 times a week in November 2016 and further increased to 9 times a week.

Air India started a fifth freedom flight between London and Newark, by launching an Ahmedabad – London – Newark flight. They began flights to Madrid as well in December 2016 and took over the Delhi – Vienna flights from Austrian. They then killed the London – Newark segment and added Bangalore – London in its place.

Air India flight to Washington DC from Delhi went live on 7 July 2017 as well and is operating three times a week as of now. Next, in line, the launches to Stockholm & Copenhagen, have also completed and they are operating normally there.

With the induction of 787s completed, Air India is still, however, trying to put them to good use. They added more flights to Sydney and are trying to explore more flights to Melbourne as well. Israel got 3X a week flights too, being the first ones to be able to overfly Saudi Arabian airspace to access Israel. Air India then launched 4x weekly flights on Mumbai – Frankfurt route in October 2018.

Air India for quite some time had intentions of adding flights from Mumbai to New York JFK. They followed it up by launching 3x weekly flights on Mumbai – New York JFK in December 2018 using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Much of the expansion and increased utilisation of aircraft came during Ashwani Lohani’s stint as Air India’s CEO from September 2015 to August 2017. Ashwani Lohani is back as Air India’s CEO just last month and since then we are seeing some interesting developments going on.

Air India plans to service all 26 grounded aircraft with 23 of them requiring new engines and increase the aircraft utilisation. According to Times of India, Air India is seriously considering adding flights to Los Angeles this winter. This route would be Air India’s longest route yet at 8013 miles.

Ashwani Lohani first hinted at adding flights to Los Angeles from September 2017, then there were reports of a November 2017 launch and it was put on the back burner in October 2017. With Ashwani Lohani back at Air India, it looks like a huge possibility.

Yes. Air India has 2 Boeing 777-300ER which have been inoperational for six months. Air India wants to bring back those aircraft back in regular service so that they can launch Delhi – Los Angeles. Air India has enough aircraft to launch at least 3x weekly Boeing 777-300ER flights to Los Angeles.

They wish to have the first mover advantage on this route as if any US carrier was even considering that route anyway. American Airlines is thinking of adding a route to Delhi from Philadelphia. Delta has announced a flight to Mumbai but hasn’t followed up with a route announcement yet. United will increase its presence by launching a daily San Francisco-Delhi flight from December 5, 2019.

This would also affect Middle-East carriers especially Etihad which has already reduced frequency on Abu Dhabi – Los Angeles route to 3x-4x weekly. Etihad pulled out of San Francisco citing Air India’s rapid expansion in the market.

Delhi – Los Angeles is a very large unserved nonstop route and has been on Air India’s radar for a long time. Looks like this time Air India may eventually launch Delhi – Los Angeles route, just like they launched Mumbai – New York JFK, especially with Ashwani Lohani back at Air India. We will have to wait for a few more months as Air India usually announces a new route just a month or two before launching flights.

What do you think? Will Air India launch flights to Los Angeles within 2019?
