Ronald “Jude” Plauché, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Pointe Coupee Healthcare in New Roads.
A proud veteran, Jude served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a translator and postal clerk before returning home to pursue his true passion for farming and operating a trucking business. In retirement, he found immense joy as a Master Gardener and an avid hunter and fisherman. Above all, Jude loved his family fiercely. The blessing of grandfatherhood began with his first grandchild, whom he affectionately nicknamed "Boulon”who gave him the cherished title of "Deda." Some of his favorite moments were spent with his grandchildren, whether taking them fishing, riding together in the tractor and combine, enjoying a sip of "Momee’s Recipe," or shouting "PIP PIP!" for extra power as they crested the levee on the four-wheeler. His warmth, humor, and deep devotion created unforgettable memories that his family will treasure forever.

Visitation will be from 8:00AM until 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Escudé Funeral Home in Moreauville. The Holy Rosary will be recited just before Mass at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville.
