The Bossier City Lions Club Football Jamboree was first held on August 27, 1954, featuring eight teams across four games. For 73 years, the Jamboree has remained a signature community tradition, bringing together schools, families, alumni, and supporters from across Bossier Parish. Generations of local residents have participated in or supported the event during their high school years.
Proceeds from the event are used to support parish high schools, fund football programs, and provide college scholarships. The Bossier City Lions Club also supports vision screening for children, provides eyeglasses to those in need, and aids both the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation and the Louisiana Children's Camp for children with special needs.
