* Tuesday 08 July - 9pm: La Venue de l'Avenir Comedy drama, by Cédric Klapisch, starring Suzanne Lindon, Abraham Wapler, Vincent Macaigne (France-2025). Duration: 2h06 In the year 2025, around thirty people from the same family learn that they are to inherit a house that has been abandoned for years. Four of them, Seb, Abdel, Céline and Guy, are tasked with taking stock of the property. These distant "cousins" discover hidden treasures in this old house. They find themselves on the trail of a mysterious Adèle who left her native Normandy at the age of 20. This Adèle ended up in Paris in 1895, at a time when the city was in the throes of an industrial and cultural revolution. For the four cousins, this introspective journey into their genealogy will take them back to that very special time at the end of the 19th century, when photography was being invented and Impressionism was being born. This face-off between the two eras of 2025 and 1895 will challenge their present and their ideals, and tell the story of : The coming of the future.
