HAMPTONVILLE, N.C. —
An investigation has uncovered a drug and firearm operation involving juveniles in Yadkin County.

The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office said they began an investigation into reports of THC vape pens, marijuana, and firearms distribution in Hamptonville back in August. During a traffic stop, deputies said they found a juvenile carrying THC vape pens and a concealed handgun. Yadkin County detectives said they then identified a suspect in their case through information obtained from social media posts and prior investigations.

Detectives said they conducted a stakeout near a home on Lone Hickory Road on Sept. 30. Deputies stated they stopped a vehicle leaving the house and found four people, including two juveniles, with concealed handguns and THC vape pens inside.
The sheriff's office claimed detectives seized 150 THC vape pens, marijuana, hashish, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, open alcohol containers, and $2,713.
The two 18-year-old suspects were arrested, while the juveniles were released to their guardians, according to officials.

Deputies said they later executed a search warrant at the home on Lone Hickory Road, where they seized more firearms, ammunition, THC vape pens, psilocybin edibles, and paraphernalia.
Justen Cesar Gonzalez, 18, was charged with multiple felonies, including possession with intent to sell/deliver controlled substances, maintaining a dwelling, carrying a concealed handgun, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and possession of paraphernalia, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said Rony Enamorado-Cruz was charged with felony possession with intent to sell/deliver, felony possession, concealed handgun, and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
The sheriff’s office relayed that both suspects will appear in court on Oct. 14, and additional juvenile charges through Yadkin County Juvenile Services are pending.
